It reminds me of the time when he was holding Sarah at the beginning of the game.

The first time I finished the game I actually threw a brick at the surgeon before realizing I was forced to kill him, the brick disintegrated and the surgeon didnt even flinch, using THAT is just such a poor and lazy choice for an event to rely on to drive the story of the second game.

I though it was kinda difficult to shoot them since i know they were basically good people. But me and Joel was selfish. I had no problem shooting people before that.

I had Joel kill them because at that point I was frustrated the game was making me doom everyone. In hindsight, I feel it kinda fits Joel's selfishness at that point.

Many are complaining about it being too much like a movie without enough gameplay? I never really felt that way in the slightest playing through it in fact i came back and played it again just so i could find all those pills and max out joel. Theres alot of freakin action in this game just in general lol. Also the cut scenes are so well done after my first playthrough i found myself looking forward to the next scene during like most of the gameplay

No, that's bullshit. They had experimented on INFECTED, not immune. They were just comparing the results of those experiments with tests they had done to Ellie. Some people misunderstood it and thought they were saying that there were more people like Ellie. This version is just a misunderstanding that people keep spreading in an attempt to make Joel look like the hero and make the Fireflies look like the bad guys. The Fireflies gave their lifes everyday trying to get all branches of government back, trying to free people of the military oppression, trying to find a cure... They gave their lifes everyday because they believed that they could make the world better for everyone. And somehow people are apalled that they would be willing to sacrifice one life for the possibility of a vaccine. Joel has killed tons of innocent people and, when presented with a possibility to save humanity, he wanted to go home and have nothing to do with it. He only went with it because Tess asked him to do it before dying. Joel is no hero, he's a human and he's a father. He wasn't right in saving Ellie, but he wasn't wrong either. There's no right answer to a situation like that. It's not ok to doom humanity for one person, but it's not ok to take away someone's life for the greater good. What Joel did is what pretty much any parent would have done. Lying to Ellie too. Because a 14 year old with survivor's guilt shouldn't be asked to decide something like that. Everyone acted according to what they thought was right. That's why the ending is so complex, human and awesome and why people need to stop trying to make it black and white.

your opinion on the gameplay being with is subjective. I believe the gameplay is brutal and you really feel like you're really hitting the enemy, just how it should be. The game being linear isn't really a criticism, it's just a different way of the playing the game. I don't see linear gameplay as negative as what some people say, and i'm obviously not the only one who thinks this. AI isn't the best, I agree, but the story and execution of events is amazing compared to most games today.

AI is good, especialy human bots, they hide, peek, flank, wait around corner, and if there 2 of them one will grab and other will be hitting you

The giraffe scene itself wasn't that emotional. But Joel watching the giraffes walk away as he realizes that Ellie might die is really sad.

It was mainly the simple notion of just some beautiful animals and Ellie's reaction to them, after all the sh*t they've been through, it was just a relief and I guess emotional, I didn't get emotional but I can see how you could be.

I just kept thinking "It's going to maul her or bite her. It's definitely going to either maul her or bite her" throughout the whole scene. I got quite paranoid about everything in the game..

A video game actually involves you as an active participant, investing you into the characters and the story. A movie only puts you as a passive observer, you just become lazy, inactive. So, done right, a video game is BETTER than a movie. Also the reason why I don't watch movies anymore, but I play video-games.

RockStarWolf pretty much everything that has actually played the game says otherwise XD The story is the best one that I have ever come across. Seriously it makes almost anyone that plays it cry within the first 20 minutes, and then again.. and again... and again... and again... and finally, again. (when sarah dies, then sam, then tess, then the whole ellie killing david sequence, then the end. Plus you could throw in a bonus teary eyes for the giraffe scene)

+vgman94 No offense taken, but seriously the if the game had better combat it would be fantastic, but even games like GTA or the older MGS games had better aiming systems, in my opinion. There's no denying that Naughty Dog puts story and presentation above the gameplay, you can see where the quality is in their games, but it doesn't make them fun or challenging, instead it just feels like grinding through the frustrating parts just to get to a cool cutscene or set-piece. Then it just repeats that same pattern, with the so-called "puzzles" just thrown in for some slight variety. I would give TLOU a 7/10, not at all deserving of all its praise and awards, probably the most overrated game ever.
