10:45 Are these body chunks falling from the ceiling? Now that is meticulous. Really aggressive gameplay. I wonder if leg shots are as good of an option as they were in the original (leg shots did more damage than other body shots because legs were uncovered). I appreciate you leaving in your deaths. It lets us understand how challenging this playstyle can be.
Leg shot is even better than the original due to Part II mechanics that you can stun enemies when you shoot at the leg obviously it carry to the remake too
I genuinely love this. You get to see the hud, so the viewer knows you don't have infinite ammo, and you don't hit every shot, which personally adds to how realistic it feels. Only problem I have is the difficulty. I'm not sure what difficulty you're playing on, but I don't think enemies normally drop 5 shotgun shells. Then again, I've never played the game, so idk. Hope you do this again!
It's a game that was already remastered a few years ago, and the remake changes nothing about the game except the visual fidelity. It absolutely was unwarranted, especially since they're charging full price for it.
top tier vid mate, i always wanted this exact vid of some quick snippets of the combat + cutscene visuals of the remaster. sad to see the technical difficulties washed out some of the lighter areas but great video regardless. also seeing you run past fabrics and tape and blades at the beginning gave my inner last of us player so much anxiety lmao
The fact you chose what I consider to be the most well directed sequence in this game to open the gameplay up really reeled me into the experience just like it does in the game.

I've never been interested to play The Last of Us. But now i know that playing it aggressively looks fun, maybe I will try it. I also like the end with the "Alright, the house is cleared." 😄
@@Nemsk joel dodges in the e3 2012 demo and his fighting against clickers, you had to dodge in the alpha footage. Joel not being able to dodge due to his age/playstyle is the dumbest excuse I've seen
@@noname_noname_ He said the mechanics aren't made for Joel, not that Joel is physically unable to dodge. Just throwing prone and dodge at Tlou1 doesn't mean they would stick with the gameplay design. Also, that dodge you saw in the demo was simply the "counter" move Joel has in Tlou1. Sometimes the animation is a dodge but it's rare and contextual.
@@Pedro_Le_Chef bro you still have no clue what I'm talking about. Go to the e3 demo (the 7min one) and watch when joel gets attacked by the guy with the pipe at the 4:45 minute mark.. its not a triangle counter.. you can't counter a melee weapon without having one yourself.

I watched this trying to find things that were improved, and melee enemies seem to be a lot smarter and the dumb molotov guys are replaced, but they're still stupid as hell and enemies with guns don't seem improved at all. They don't use cover very much and will just kinda stand in the open to shoot at you. The worst part was the end. Nemsk blasts a guy upstairs with a shotgun but the enemies downstairs don't take cover and aim at the stairs, they just stand around gormlessly and don't react when Joel throws a grenade at them. That was embarassing.
Yeah you made a lot of great points. I replayed that last sequence a lot and it seems like those downstairs guys don’t even really spawn in until you start walking down the stairs so you can be as loud as you want on the first 2 guys, and the downstairs guys will always be the same. No negativity, just curious why is the brightness so high? (And then so low) And how on earth do you block enemies melee attacks with weapons like that!?? Also I enjoy that beat at the end.
yeah I recorded some parts in 4K and the video encoding got messed up during converting/exporting. I don't know why I came out like that, the clips looked normal in the edit And you press triangle to counter melee attacks like that! it's pretty rare but also feels cool to pull off when you can... hope you enjoyed the video!
I don't understand why she didn't get revenge In part 2, Joe seems to be killed by Abby too easily and the storyline is weird, but I think it's the best game if you just enjoy the gameplay.
Love the combat in 2. I know nobody liked the story but the combat and gunplay is so good and realistic, plus the stealth is amazing, feels like I'm playing MGS. Hopefully this "Remake" will get younger people into the Last Of Us games. And hopefully the Multiplayer is great as well.
The idea that nobody liked the story of part 2 comes from a very vocal minority of people hating on the game. Everyone I've talked to in real life loved it, with a few considering it their favorite story in any game (including myself). Not saying everyone loved it, but to say nobody liked the story is wildly inaccurate.
