Even tho people are sick of it, i would love to see waluigi in smash, he is one of the only characters i could see fitting in the final spot, also it would be hilariously creative as they have to think outside of the box for his moveset, he seems like he would be a wildcard.

Based on every single factor that goes into a Smash fighter, my guess is going to be Ayumi Tachibana from Famicom Detective Club. She fulfills the marketing and budget reasons why Nintendo would pick her as well as why Sakurai would want to: she's an unconventional fighter hailing from a VN and in the past he wanted to include her in Melee's roster but didn't due to no one knowing her. There hasn't been a Spirit event in Ultimate for the recent remakes yet and it'd thematically fit FP2 as it's all been tying up desired character picks so the last slot granting Sakurai's wish since this is apparently the last Smash game he'll work on makes sense.

Yeah I got nothing. It's kind of hard to pick a character you love getting put into Smash when you only play like 5 series consistently 4 of which are 1st party and the the last is Sonic who....hasn't been treated with much grace in this series (hell with how Colours Ultimate is shaping up, looks like we'll have to wait till next year for anything to come up Sonic). Sonic ramblings aside, like the rest of the DLC I'll just sit back and watch what Sakurai's last trick up his sleeve is and hope for the best when it comes to community response. Though considering what usually happens, it's probably gonna be dumpster fire no matter what which while saddening is still gonna be funny.

Same here lol. Out of the few games that I play and enjoy, my most realistic request is Chun Li with a SF2 based moveset. I don't see The Knight, Madeline from Celeste, or Revali making it in.

Yeah, but Crash Bandicoot just had his 25th anniversary. Ubisoft already said they would want to push Rayman in. There's simply too many anticipated characters people want to be sure

The issue isn't what moves he has it's how they executed them. They packed a lot of references into his moveset but they don't flow well together into a cohesive moveset because of the amount of startup and endlag on almost every move he has. It inadvertently created a frankstein's monster moveset when all Banjo can do is projectile camp or get on hit and disengaging again. Make his moves have less endlag or give him better airspeed and he would flow a lot better I'll probably make a video about it one day

I'm totally cool with whoever ends up being the final fighter of the Smash Ultimate DLC. I just want the toxicity that is Smash speculation to die out, because we've been gifted such an incredible roster of characters that only improves with each subsequent Smash title & it's become soo much of a problem that many fans outright demand certain dream characters to appear & genuinely turn simple & fun discussions of fan speculation into heated arguments of fan made rules & other misinformation. I've always said Smash is great, but both its casual & competitive community can be toxic AF. I just hope the final fighter can be someone AT LEAST most can agree on, is a great way to close this chapter of Smash off forever, whether someone iconic, largely requested or just anyone that can bring something new to Smash.

The game is amazing no matter who they add and the devs pour their heart into every character But agreed, here's to ending the fighters passes on a character that a lot of us are excited about :)

I think a Dance Dance Revolution character (like Disco/Afro) would be a nice and very surprising pick. It covers a very popular and classic arcade game, brings a Rhythm game rep, and brings a dancer character to the game (which could have a very unique moveset). Not to mention we could get Bemani music in Smash.

Thank you for penning your finely written displeasure RamenBomberDeluxe, I appreciated your font choice :) Jokes aside, I was totally fine with them adding Min Min under the assumption that I thought they would use it as an opportunity to advertise for ARMS 2 (hopefully a more fleshed out game than the original) but so far it seems like that isn't going to be the case. Make you wonder what the purpose for adding her was

That’s how Fire Emblem hit its mark, that’s probably how a lot of less well known smash characters got discovered actually. Regardless, I too hope ARMS 2 is made and improves upon the original!

The last character is coming soon but I wonder what the next game will be like. I am very curious how they will move forward, it would be interesting. For Me: As long there is plenty of new content and hopefully the return of custom moves, then I am very excited for the future of this series.

It's pretty surprising the Rayman and Crash aren't already in the game at this point, I think they make the most sense to end the Fighters Pass off with. Ryu Hayabusa has been my most wanted for a while, but I really doubt it's happening + the reaction from the Smash community probably would be shallow at best with how much he's been leaked. (I kind of wish it didn't happen so much, but I'm at least glad his name is in the spotlight more in some ways) I'm dying to see another Sonic character too, though I only see Eggman being a candidate for being the last of Ultimate. I'd really want to see Tails/Knuckles/Shadow personally.

It's crazy how alive the smash character guessing game is. Everyone content creator is always completely wrong about any upcoming character but the comment section in all their videos is so alive. It just amazes me how someone can come up with a completely out of the blue idea for the next character, convince themselves that it makes sense, and then when they're wrong they tell themselves. "Well I was kind of right." Even though that's not even possible. You either got it right or wrong.... I still want Goku btw..

Man, I feel you on Alm and Celica. I would have traded Corrin, Lucina, and Chrom for them. I'm not sure personally who would be good for a final character myself though.

I'm fine with Awakening having a couple characters in Smash since it saved the series but two clones from that game has the FE roster looking bloated af I agree though, an FE character for the last spot is a terrible idea lol

They should have revealed the final three characters of Fighter's Pass 2 after Sephiroth's reveal at the Game Awards but Sephiroth impales them all, cancelling the Fighter's Pass. Sakurai and Tetsuya Nomura appear on screen. Sakurai starts by saying "Never ask me for anything ever again. I'm taking a five year long vacation with my wife in Hawaii," and Nomura finishes with "Sakurai and I were going to add Sora until we remembered that Sephiroth is way cooler, why would we add a Disney owned character lol." Nice video btw

There are some characters that are popular in the West than in Japan like Rayman for example. Rayman feels like a shoo-in but the big factor IMO is that he's obscure in Japan. Nintendo's main headquarters is in Japan and pretty likely why half the characters in a fighter pass as people called Anime Swordsman JRPG which is very popular in Japan. This may be similar to why Sonic still doesn't have another rep he's not that popular not as bad as Rayman but it still doesn't match the popularity between the West and Japan.

Well after seeing the roster from pass 1 and what we got pass 2. All bet are off on anything super cool. Instead think simple thoughts like one a person two a simple outfit and three from a popular franchise or sorta popular. Which brings me to scorpion or most of the mk characters like the ninjas all being playable but you get to choose one. It be a great Idea and a simple but epic way to finish the last pass off considering most of the most the moves already exist in smash it be a piece of cake. So that's my thoughts

Let it be known that Sakurai-san has final say in who will be the last Smash DLC. As God as my witness it will not be a character from an M-rated game, a PC FPS, a fringe indie game, any Disney characters or another Pokémon. Just accept whatever character is revealed, so we can get on with our lives...😤

I'd love to see Dr. Robotnik, Tails or even Knuckles would be great. Scrooge McDuck would be a shocker and also a fantastic fit, opening up the door for more classic Disney charaters who had classic Nintendo games. Also Ghirahim and Demise. How cool would it be to get both? They could operate similar to Joker and Arsene. Like at a certain point Ghirahim would just turn into that badass sword and you play as Demise for a bit. I've got some sweet mechanics in mind.

A very fair point since I didn't explain why I feel that way. I've explained it a few times in the replies of this video but while Banjo's moveset is packed full of references (which is great) those references don't come together into a cohesive moveset. They don't flow together because of the amount of startup/endlag most of his moves have so he plays like a Frankenstein's monster of hit and run/projectile camping. Sonic's moveset may lack referenced but at least it's a cohesive moveset Def going to make a video on banjo's moveset one day with the amount of people that have commented about it!

@@PowPowSmash I'm and start to think he will be in smash not as a mii costume but as fighter 11 cause the final fighter would unexpected and on Twitter ubisoft Canada remembers Rayman last week after steptember 1 2021 and ubisoft and Nintendo are now business partners and there's alot of evidences for that mean I think I'm 100% that rayman would be in smash ultimate

Their moveset is chock full of references but it flows together very poorly and turns him into a slow zoner with very few combos outside of breegull gun cancelling. He's slow with slow moves that don't flow together in a moveset so it's a "great moveset in theory but poor in execution" situation. I might make a video about it at some point

What about the new guy from Shin Megami Tensei 5? Nintendo and Atlus are trying their best to promote SMT, there are entire 2 hour streams that are fully translated in english, theres 4 trailers for the game, etc. not to mention how the fighter pass started with an atlus game, so it would be fitting to end it with another atlus (also fighter pass 2 doesnt have an atlus fighter yet), not to mention how every single shin megami tensei game has been mostly nintendo exclusive, including smt5 which is comming on november this year to switch only
