Dude that is the freshest Arthur ive ever seen. Everybody makes him look like a Mountain man but dayum let an outlaw embrace his facial features and look his best. I mean the money he makes should allow him that livestyle
My Arthur is also pretty damn fresh, he wears the Civil War Hardee Hat with a matching dark blue jacket, white shirt, black vest and black jeans. And for hair he has long, slicked back hair and a musketeer beard.
My Arthur in Chapters 1-2 is kinda base game Arthur. Dressed in his outfit or variations of it, and a normal beard. Chapter 3 I let his hair grow a bit and pomade it, and wear a mustache to lean into the lawman disguise more. If I’m lucky I steal a cavalry hat from a lemoyne raider. Chapter 4 it’s kinda back to chapter 3, but slightly longer. After guarma I keep his hair long and unkempt to make him look a bit more depressed after everything that’s happened, until he starts doing more good things, then I clean him up.
even without Micah ratting them out, Dutch with his ego supplemented with Micah's bs eventually would put the gang at troubles... just like Arthur said "We got sloppier than the town drunk"
This is what everyone doesn’t understand Dutch would’ve always put the gang in a shit situation anyway without Micah Dutch loves living this outlaw even years later he still on his bullshit
@@mikevignola4213 the way i see it caution was thrown out the window before the game began.... they make it sound like dutch and gang where around blackwater for years. only for them to screw up on a boat which forces them to run. then dutch throws caution away again by deciding to rob a train. then around valentine you attack a bounty hunter camp to rescue sean, the pinkertons start a talk with arthur and dutch has the brilliant idea to walk into town to have a drink in the saloon, fully knowing that colm o´driscoll is mad because you hit his camp and stole his plan to rob the train, cornwall is mad because you robbed his train, and the pinkertons are around the area knowing the gang is somewhere close by what part of that screams caution?
@Alexander Zack well rescuing Mac was something they would do regardless of any heat they had. The train robbery had nothing that tied them to it outside of Hosea attempting to move the bearer bonds they acquired. The gang is pretty restrained during thier time at horseshoe Overlook compared to the rest of the story.
To be fair, he's been saying this since at least chapter 2. You can see that the Blackwater incident has open his eyes and he aknowledge that outlaws like his are no longer welcome in the US.
Recently finished the game and rewatching these cutscenes are something. It's cool how it symbolizes Arthur being on the high ground and morally right, while Micah is at the bottom literally whispering to Dutch to go bad. Then, with Dutch being on the steps but him not fully being in the middle but already having a foot in with Micah. I love RDR2, I don't think I'll experience a similar game to it.
Here’s my interpretation: Micah never cared about getting away. If you just wanted to survive, he could’ve left the gang in a long time ago. no, I think he was saying this stuff because he knew Dutch would oppose it. And listen to what he says “we need to let those people go.” that’s exactly what Arthur was telling Dutch at the end of the game. “We need to let John and his family go.” I think Micah was purposely planting these seeds i’m dutch’s mind. if you look at this clip, Arthur doesn’t disagree with Micah in it. He says “well something Has to happen.” which implies that he doesn’t disagree with it.
I think micah wants dutch's and the gang's bounty. that's why he had dutch's poster in his camp. and I think its why he didn't run away and became a rat instead.
@@thephoenix4093 This. I think it's strongly implied that Micah and Dutch crossed paths very recently too in American Venom, which explains why Micah hasn't found a way to turn him in yet; Dutch probably is also aware of what Micah wants to do with him if he sticks with him for long, so I guess killing him was always Dutch's idea. Micah telling John to join them instead of shooting him when he had Sadie hostage could've been a way to try to gain more of Dutch's trust as well as have another high-profile bounty to collect.
I always interpreted it as Dutch saying they're not leaving the less capable members *(Swanson, the women, Jack Strauss ,etc...)as his last shred of sense, not referring to leaving Arthur. In retrospect, I should've noticed since Micah gestures to Arthur when he says let the weak go.
I honestly don't think Dutch even saw Micah gesture at Arthur, he's focused on Arthur himself and only looked at Micah when he suggested to abandon the weak
I think this should have been the point when Dutch realized Micah was trying to put the whole gang in danger. "Cut everyone loose and start over," that should've been the point where Dutch thought about who he was listening to.
Yeah but if you pay attention while at camp, Micah is always at Dutchs tent like "Oh you're so great, you're the best, you're like a bandit king" which appealed to his ego
Why does Dutch have Charles v2 haircut? Also watching Dutch walking past Arthur who was almost killed in the factory, made me so sad and this reminded me of that
I wonder, was the reason Micah attacked Arthur like that was because he was speaking to someone inside that home? After all the Pinkertons were there for a few minutes during the mission so maybe they knew Cornwall would be killed and let it happen
He loved Arthur like a son, he was just to egotistical to say that he was wrong and to take Arthur's advice. You can see how Arthur's death broke him when he realized he didn't have anyone left expect Micah. He didn't realize that it all came crashing down due to his own actions until it was too late. Dutch from RDR1 is a sociopath who doesn't value human life anymore though. He's a shell of what he once was.
@@SewingMink160 I even think that Dutch didn't fall for Micah and knew he was a sly, manipulative bastard. As he calls him out early in the story, so he wasn't blind to what he was doing. It's just that Dutch enjoyed the feeling of absolute authority that Micah gave by sucking up to him and not questioning him, so he went along with it. He'd come to realize by the last mission his mistake in going with his ego and not the advice of his most trusted associate, enforcer and son.
@@SewingMink160 Yes, I agree with you 100% when Arthur confronts Micah you can see Dutch look at Arthur and then shakes his head and looks back at Micah, in my opinion I think Dutch was gonna dide with Arthur.
Just listen to the weight of the that ain't happening you can see the old good Dutch fighting against the ruthless man he becomes. It's really said knowing that he only went complete mad because he got a mental disorder from hitting his head at the trolley crash
“Mabey time for folks like us has passed “ I think that’s why Dutch said “our time is passed “ to John before he fell off the cliff,it shows you that Dutch remembered Arthur and how much he actually cared for him.
I’ve not played the game in a good few years but in this scene this has to be the first time Micah Arthur and the audience (us) our in agreement on letting people leave before it’s too late
Tbh Arthur had a really really good point, they didn’t need a rat after all the shit they did it was bound for them to be found a tracked by like, the only real agency that exists currently
I think Arthur’s right, I don’t think Micah was a rat the whole time. Dutch listened to the wrong man and robbed a boat that they had no business robbing, was too hot of a score. Dutch was too extreme and it caught up with them, they were too loud. That along with the world changing Dutch went crazy trying to escape civil progression, all the good outlaws were gone except for Landon Ricketts and he basically became a bounty hunter and an ally to the law. Dutch was at his core a master manipulator and got exposed in chapter 6 to everyone. Micah just helped Dutch get out of his shell and become the man he truly is. Micah also saw that the gang needed a reboot and saw the opportunity when Hosea and Lenny died, two morally honorable members of the game. Not to mention Arthur was living on borrowed time so He knew if the gang would survive it had to become more reliant on violence and unpredictability. He even recruited two men that fit that criteria. The gang was basically split into two, followers of Dutch and the good ones who followed Arthur and were only loyal to Arthur in the last chapter like John, Charles and Sadie.
I love red dead and Arthur but it seems really stupid that Arthur got energy to kill every soul in entire map during relevant missions but he is too week to punch Micah and put it back to his place.
Arthur was a fool for not shooting Micah anytime they were alone in a big shootout. Kill him and most of the gang would've survived, at least for a bit longer.
Honestly I would have preferred if Arthur was right here. Micah doesnt have to also be a rat to be a bad influence on Dutch. Everything Arthur says about why they keep getting caught is true in its own
Finally an Arthur who doesn't look like a caveman throughout the entire journey. I get it why it might be appropriate at times to have a 10/10 beard, maybe, but not all of the time. And in case some of you folks don't know, having some style did exist in the old west. Lol. While the scruffy cowboy was certainly a thing of those times, it was also quite common to see folks presenting themselves as sharp. And it wasn't just the wealthy - but also the common people and outlaws alike.
I liked to keep his facial hair at a relatively low level, it's how he's popularly depicted and it makes him look like Chuck Norris which only adds to the badass factor.
the funniest part about these videos is what Arthur looks like when they do this, sometimes he is coiffed and clean shaven, sometimes he looks absolutely terrible lol
RDR2 was amazing and is one of my favlurite games of all time. The only bad part was Dutch and the others constantly saying "We need money" when i had collected enough cash for the entire gang to be considered moderately wealthy in 2023. Should have had a secret alternate ending where dutch goes "We just need money" and arthur replies "Well ive git $1,000,000. We good?" And then dutch agrees theyre set and everyone retires happily and safely.
I like Arthur with a shaved look like from the cover art where there’s a small amount of beard without the mountain man look, but to me he doesn’t seem the type to wear rich appearing clothes like Dutch. Honestly I like him wearing the Legendary Animal outfits, shame you can only get the Giaguaro Panther poncho thingy after he’s dead unless your on PC with mods.
It shows Dutch has changed and he is now after revenge. At the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2 , he had a chance to ambush Colm but he chost to let him go and fight him another day but what Dutch did in Saint Denis to Bronte and to Cornwall goes against everything he stood for.
