Two things I would like to see included in the firmware are ctcss tones for repeater access on 10 and 6 and for the squelch to work on fm.

Now I have to buy one of these too.

So after testing the rig, The 2.4 TX Bandwidth is way to narrow for me, For QRP and portable work I guess that is ok. Next for a SDR Transceiver which they are claiming it should have these functions like EQ for both TX&RX a Processor and Adjustable TX Bandwidth filters. Now The Receiver is outstanding for this little Radio the DNF and NR work pretty good for a rig in this price point. The Display is not bad when tuning I hear some artifacts in the receiver but nothing to cry about. Radio does get warm for 10watts maybe next Gen they add a bigger heatsink to help dissipate the heat. But for a overall for a Portable rig it is not bad, Again depends on what you are going to use the radio for and what style of operation! Thank you for a great video N2MDX 73.s!

I love ver. 0.17.1 created on 05-2023, He just keeps making the Xiegu X6100 better and better. He added : Sending a carrier signal using case PTT (in CW mode) Noise Shelf Display on S-Meter Buttons light Line-In, Line-Out settings, Settings of info in the clock Magnification the freq. and the info Magnification ALC Changed work the Up/Down HMic keys Support HMic buttons SPCH, TUNER, XFC, F1 Changed work the Up/Down HMic keys. Load/Save memory via HMic buttons (Buttons 1-9) Displaying Both VFOs in Split Mode GPS support (My Favorite)

I do not understand why any HF rig with a full color LCD display does not natively display SSTV images.

R1CBU has released 0.15 with additional improvements. Yes, he is making good process. I now only use his firmware now. His firmware has a better user interface than the OEM.

Now these firmware updates, I think I’m finally beginning to understand the value of this rig even if you can only do 5 watts on it. Any power upgrades in the future for this rig? 🤙🏻

OK, I’ve resisted buying this radio for a long time? I’m done, buying one this week. As we have talked about before, the 5 watts only on battery is what held me back so long ago. Xiegu owes this sale to you my friend

Impressive!! Thank you for posting. May I ask, what antenna are you using in HT (hand held by your ear) mode? It looks like an ABBREE 2m/70cm folding 'tape measure' antenna that you can get on Amazon, but there is no way that would work on any of the HF bands. Could you tell me the Brand and Model, and where it can be bought? Thank you.

Nice version BUT CAT does not work with most logging programs other than under FT8 and digital programs.

Would be great to have FM squelch and usable FM mode although it's a little better than the factory FM mode which is pointless at this point.

How long does it take to boot up? Flashed a 16 Gb card. Started radio, got the splash screen, but no further?

Curious what your radio main fw is? No versions of this software works on mine: got no RX signal on any frequency, no audio of any kind, no PTT on any frequencies but all other functions works. Used several cards, all versions released, and verified each burned image was valid when testing each separately with full reformatted card each time... My radio is newer, never any other mod / hacks attempted, and works perfectly as received new from radioddity.

Can that firmware be sent to the radio using a Windows laptop and SD card and also do you have any videos on how to do that

Hello to I know there's a lot of hate for this radio but non the less I'm very interested in getting one and maybe switching it out with my g90 as my current portable radio. Context= I use cw a lot recently and wish to use the 6100 for that. What is the power consumption compared to a g90 at 10w, I am useing a myadii 7ah battery what life can i expect ish ballpark from the 6100 vs g90. also how good is the tuner is it as capable as the g90, I think I seen somewhere the g90 is 10-1 and the 6100 is 5-1 is that true ? I know you can't give definite figures on the battery life thing but I'm just wanting a ruff idea of how many hours life to expect from 7ah lifepo4 battery I don't mind if u give it as ssb pota hours ft8 hours whatever as I do them all . Last of all would you say the 6100 is an upgrade for portable obviously less power out but it has more filter options and equaliser and voice and cw memory keyer those things seem like a big upgrade or in your opinion is there some reason they arnt

SWR scanner is working in the newest firmware

It works great, but I have an intermittent screen jittering that I'm trying to figure out. May not be the firmware but doesn't seem to happen on the factory firmware. Maybe the SD card? 🤷‍♂️

What is the 11 meter AM TX output into a dummy load?

I think there may be a problem with the download: I have tried writing it to two different SD cards on two Linux machines, several times on each, and every time the card becomes unreadable and unbootable after the write. Never had a problem until this distro.

It's a shame Xiegu won't comply with the GPL. Is there a legal clone of this radio that better deserves my money?
