Jarace is truckload of versatile young talent. We do NOT need to trade him. Especially since we have not even given him courttime to show us some of his potential.

Yep, we are not a team that needs an all in mentality. For better or worse we will ride with the young team that we have.

“We” aren’t the ones who haven’t given him court time to show his potential-that idiocy falls squarely on the overrated shoulders of Carlisle!

If he can't play SF and move his feet and was brought in for his "amazing defense." Yet allows blow by's constantly. Then why keep him if Obi is back? I think there was a reason they didn't play him and played their 20ish pick over him last season. He's an awkward size and fit anywhere on the court. But seems too obvious that he can probably only guard PFs. Sucks because he does create his shot well off screen's. Pretty good passer and has a floater. But he plays so heavy like he's glued to the floor, has no quickness in his feet, or can get off the floor for blocks.. Big reason I thought his defense was overrated. Why I liked Hendricks so much better. He could move, explode off two feet for blocks. Guard anywhere on the floor, can take switches fairly well and rotates. Has a great shot. But he still has a way to go too. Problem with Jarace is where can he play and be affective? Without getting blown by. I think he had some good minutes he shown. Then they pulled him and never played him again.. Never made any sense.. Because we weren't going to win a Championship anyway. So if the plan was to keep him.. He missed out on a ton of developmental experience.. But big surprise. The whole way this team is being built out is ridiculous imo.. bunch of bs talk of oh what could they do.. but you already know it won't be sh!t..

@@king_supreme1102imagine having stuck with the team we had before the Pascal trade. Allowed Jarace and the young guy's to make it into the playoffs and get all the time for themselves.. Then actually have went for an Elite D plug n play SF that we needed for cheaper to begin with. Then signed guy's like a Hartenstein, a Miles Bridges. One of those that cost about 20 mil and then signed a player like Naji Marshall for close to 7 or 8 mil.. Or just drafted our SF's with the picks we'd had and picked up another really good guard.. possibly signed Drummond instead of Naji for about 9 mil. We could have kept all our youth, had a place for Walker to actually play in his natural position. Then built our depth out like crazy. With guy's who can actually shoot and rebound.. Then we'd still be the fast #1 Offense we had in the beginning, yet even better. Then had actual Rebounding huslte player's at C.. Instead of a Small Ball C for 43 mil. Who doesn't do one thing well.

Firstly, I think Jalen started to show some cracks in his demeanor. No doubt he may get frustrated with his play or being on the bench but I think that character aspect is something to watch. How he handles not having things go his way. He seemed to lose his cool on the court and on the bench a few times. As an aside I had to do a triple take when I saw his outfit for the being on the bench game 4 of the ECF. It was a white and green sweatshirt. I know mistakes happen but why put on the opposing teams color?! Just absent minded or weird or a message. I thought it was lame. The entire crowd is golded out and he's got that on? What are you thinking Jalen? Also Tony I do want to give these players respect and you tend do that that when deeply discussing them. But at times there are short and dismissive comments made on the fly. I am a guy who loves to be careful for others feeling and I get calling people players who can play on a "crap" team or who using words likes "horrible" or "trash" has to sting and get around to others. I get it - some players are not good compared to others and you are giving Jalen his props but in general I think short hand language that is derogatory towards any players is not professional for a guy who aims to be like yourself. These are hard working people with lives they have devoted to a sport. Some stink at times, but some of that Hoosier Hospitality should never die ) We can let that "fan" aspect die on the vine as far as I'm concerned. We can lead with kindness and still be critical which I feel is your zone. Just a tweak I thought I'd mention worth noticing.

It did not seem like Smith got a fair chance in the playoffs… Smith was so much better than Jackson all season… I think his playoff rotations had more to do with his contract more than his play

Smith would make sense on the Grizzlies as they lack depth under the basket, maybe we could trade him for Zaire Williams, long wing former lottery pick that hasn’t had a chance to shine out there in TN. Salaries roughly match up.

I think the pacers should look into getting Jonathan Kuminga. I see him to be an emerging elite player in the league. He has the wingspan and height to be an excellent defensive player who can play inside and outside.

Easiest way to put it, they won't do anything. If they do sign anyone, it won't be anyone worth having. But I doubt they even do that and probably totally blow on the draft picks. Even when they hit on one, they will pick the most head scratching of player's for their next picks. Never addressing positions of need, or getting the best player's available. They could have played Jarace all 2nd half of last season and in the playoffs. They obviously didn't like whay they saw defensively. Or he would have played, simple as that. He's an awkward fit anywhere he plays. Too heavy footed, allows blow by's constantly. Can create his shot well at time's, especially off of screen's and gets to his floater. But if he's clanking his shots and isn't the defensive player you drafted him for in the first place. Then he becomes difficult to play. Because he's not a player that switches well onto just anyone either. Thing is, we were never going to win the championship last year. So why not have played him and let him get all that experience if you're going to keep him? Makes no sense at all.. But nothing with their approach ever truly does. Hendricks still needs to develop too, but already looks like a much better Defender at his position. Has a better stroke too that will translate better with more time. Jarace isn't a bad player, but an awkward fit with his size and mobility. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't lose Obi. Probably part of their plan. Lol then not sign anything resembling a SF worth anything. Smh. Typical Pacers, will probably sign a small guard with their 1st pick. Might not have a choice depending on who's even available at 36 that's any good.. Hoping a good wing is available the first pick. If they could get a good guard. Then would trade TJ for a SF would be fine with me.. Gotta move on from him at some point. Might as well be while he has some value. No matter if it's through the draft, or FA. We need a legit SF prospect that's good, or has potential to be really good and a real backup C that can Rebound. We may never know what Jarace could have become at PF with the team we had before trading for Pascal. Seeing as how that was his primary position. Too bad they couldn't have just gotten a plug n play SF type that was an Elite Defender and a bit cheaper.

Tony, Carlisle just chose all of the sudden not to play Jalen in the playoffs-nothing else-his play didn’t even get a chance to dip-because he saw no court time. Carlisle is only to blame for idiocy!

@@jdek88unless you’re considering Nembhard, which is a crazy situation to be in. Nembhard has a higher ceiling and if we could net draft capital or a backup big for him, I would take that all day.
