The Laundry Alternative Poseidon, Durable, Traditional Design with a Real Agitator 

OK, so a hook-up show-n-tell would have been nice. HOWEVER, I DON'T USE THAT SET-UP anyway, so good for me. I JUST GOT MY Poseidon TODAY .... AND I LOVE IT! I have washed three loads already ... a load of 3 pair of blue jeans, 1 blanket, and a load of 6 T-shirts, all on the minimum level or just above it. I love the fact that this IS SEMI AUTOMATIC. I hate hook-ups to the faucets because they ALWAYS leak, and/or the hassle of getting the right set-up for it in the first place is a bugger!! I have the mini TLA "Costway" washer and sadly enough I QUIT using it due to the deterioration of my clothes from that "pulse" type of wash action!!! I HATED IT and switched to a "Washing Wand" to use in it manually. BUT, my back is paying for that, so I've been waiting A LONG TIME for this new baby to materialize! I AM ECSTATIC that TLA has finally come up with an AGITATOR portable, and better yet, IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM. The Poseidon could use a couple tweaks to my liking, but nothing that will take away a 5-STAR rating. The lint "filter" and/or soap "dispenser" seems worthless. As soon as you put the soap in it runs right through it, so why bother -- I just put it in the tub, run the sprayer from my shower in it & let it lather up. I also toss in one of those little "lint ball" thingies I had for a previous washer & they work fine. I do wish it had a clip style hook-up for the drain tube. I have to hang it from a strong hanger clip, and although that works fine, it would be nice to be able to have that little latch thing right on the outside of the machine somewhere to accommodate it (like the mini Costway one has). I love too, that it has the removable stand. GREAT for lifting the unit to make sure all is dry on the underside and for storage too. I doubt that mine will ever find itself in a closet stored, because I keep it right in the shower & because it is so light, I can easily take it out in the morning while I shower. THEN I can wash a load right from the get-go in the morning. THANKS TLA. I am finally enjoying laundry again. Oh, I have a spinner thingie, so because it doesn't spin (I WISH IT DID), it's not a deal-breaker either!!

So there's no manual drain? You MUST use the pump?

It looked like it's working pretty good, but I don't like that you have to stand there and turn the water on and off. That's quite inconvenient. My portable washer is fully automatic, just like a regular machine. You can also add more water if needed by simply holding down the water level button on most automatic portable washers. This is nice though, besides that, but that's a pretty big deal.

How long is the input hose and drain hose? How long is the electric cable? Thanks!

That looks great! Especially since I have a Ninja spin dryer. But I have a couple of questions: How on earth do you fold it up? Is it safe to use in the bathtub? (I had a twin-tub washer that I used in the bathtub, so it was easy to fill with water from the handheld shower head and I didn't have to worry about it flooding the apartment, because it simply drained down the tub drain.)

I'm going to a portable washer project with a single-tub with the spin basket, and I think one agitation here would be good for a variant. But it's going to be a wash plate but the washer to look like a vintage one. its that agitator motor go back and forth like those in the way of small portables? or is it gears moving it back and forth?
