I'll second David's suggestion(?) for The Jennifer Morgue - it's a lot of fun, and although it's maybe not in the Top 5 most "Laundry" of the series it's a not a bad place to start. I think starting any later in the series would leave the reader missing stuff and needing to go back anyway, and book 1 is a good'un too.
