Bret Hart hates Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Nash and Hall - the whole Kliq. Can't stop laughing, he's an asshole and so bitter, it's crazy calling them cancer.
+Krillep He's the only one out of all those names you mentioned that isn't an asshole. And if he's bitter so what? He's allowed to be bitter after all the shit he's had to go through and put up with. He's just speaking his mind now and it's great.
JamalTheTitan LOOL 6:25 - He calls them cancer. He's an asshole, stop being biased and take him in defence. Make up, move on, show grace. Life is about forgive and forget.
It’ll be interesting how Bret could handle straight shooting straight back at him. I would argue that just like the click he lobbied for his brother Owens spot. Owen was smaller terrible on the mic, and never had any stand out matches to the level of Shawn or Bret
Watching this made me sad. Owen Hart’s death had so much collateral damage. It traumatized people, and even to this day, it’s tearing apart families. I feel incredibly badly for Bret, for Martha, the entire family, and all his friends.
People call this man bitter, can you blame him ? He lost his brother, brother in law, close friends and got screwed In Montreal which haunts him to this day. Atleast he’s honest and still a straight shooter when asked questions 💯
This human piece of trash can't forgive Goldberg for an honest mistake but wants Martha to forgive the evil company that KILLED her husband. No wonder social media loves this loser.
Bret Hart is clearly a Mark for himself! No one in pro wrestling actually beats anyone. It is all a work! For someone to be as bitter as he is about losing a pre determined match in Canada is the most childish thing possible.
@@DanielJohnson-ko7pi the Owen Hart foundation tournament is tiers above anything WWE has produced in years. And it's on free TV. Also, in 2022, my fandom and love for this cannot bring me to judge anyone, let alone Martha Hart after what she has been through. Owen was BOTH the King of Harts and her husband.
+Algieron Papadopoulos Great post and I really appreciate the way you dismantled his arrogance with information and examples and then blasted him with some strong insults. Very well done! I don't troll RU-vid insulting people and picking fights, but some turds just ask to be smacked and you smacked this tool.
+Algieron Papadopoulos look, there IS such thing as a real wrestling fan. and I have nothing against any little cena fans cuz my son is 8 and he likes him. no one is claiming to be better than anyone, but the wrestling era Bret came up in is far and beyond anything they have now. that's not being petty or arrogant, that's fact. it was during a time where WWE had serious competition and put on the best shows possible. now they have no competition and most of the matches and content is garbage compared to those days. that is FACT. so to us, that's the real deal, not what's out now. but I am looking forward to seeing sting at night of champions.
+Algieron Papadopoulos also you sound a little bitter there. maybe your just jealous cuz your too young and you missed out on the golden age of wrestling. that's fact my friend, 80s and 90s were just plain better. and that's why almost every wrestler from those times is revered as a LEGEND like Bret Hart. they were the trailblazers, the ones that paved the way. put their bodies on the line with moves that are banned now, took REAL chair shots to the head, not put their hand up like a damn pussy. if you don't like Bret then don't watch this, but don't come in here trying to talk shit about older wrestling fans cuz you think you know better or that we are arrogant, you weren't there in those times I guarantee it or you would be singing a different tune. good wrestling died when ecw and wcw went under. period end of convo, say whatever you want. cry baby
@HARM The_OG Sorry tell you,but yes, yes a stroke can change your personality. I have seen it in my family. Please read here. It is very enlightening. www.upmc.com/services/rehab/rehab-institute/conditions/stroke/after-stroke
That's Bret for ya. Putting over the greatness of the little people that helped him. I love the guy, but wow he seems super bitter about so much. Although he did praise Piper.
Bret Hart is a man that is so incredibly proud of his career and work ethic. To some it comes across as arrogance but it really isn't. He is brutally honest about literally everything, and calls bullshit with no hesitation. I could listen to his wrestling stories all day. What an absolute legend.
Good Lord. Every Bret Hart interview, I listen and I think he's absolutely right. But I am constantly clearing my throat the entire time, because he never does.
@@playinragz It should not be upto only Owen's wife. Bret should also have a say. Bret had a lot to do with the most important thing after Owen's death : That is that the kids grew up in a financially stable environment. That had a lot to do with winning the law case against wwf. Bret being someone who worked at wwf had insider information of wwf and I am sure that was crucial to win the case. How else do you win a case against Vince ? He is friends with Trump n as much as you do not beleive it , that Trump is the president of the USA. Therefore without the support of Bret who was the most famous person in the industry, I do not see Martha wining a law case against Vince.
no, you wouldn't be saying that if it was someone in your family. her husband died because of wwe's stupidity, if Vince would've let Owen go to wcw with his brother like he asked he would be alive because they wouldn't have had him 70ft in the air on a harness. on top of all that wwe didn't even have the respect to stop the show and i don't wanna hear about the show goes on because of Shane or Stephanie fell from there you can bet Vince would've stopped the show then.
i don't think she should. wwe has fought with her on everything, they didn't wanna pay her royalties, they used footage in other dvd's she originally said she didn't want to be used, these fucking pricks need to leave her alone. if wwe are so good why don't they take all the money they are trying to make off these dvd's and give it to Martha and her children? what they kill someone and wanna make money off the guy really?
no they didn't cut the cable or anything like that i'm not saying that, they had a guy up there in a situation he was not comfortable with and Vince didn't bother going up and asking him if he was okay with doing it.
My favorite era of wrestling was when Brett was running as champion. His skill was world class. It's amazing how well he could work with other wrestlers of such various size, shapes, and ability.
I have never watched professional wrestling and never cared for it, but I've always had a great deal of respect for Bret Hart and his family. He's a great guy and a very decent man. I wish him all the best in life.
+CommentatorDeluxe Well, I've kind of always known about him or at least since he became famous, back in the day. So, when I see an interview with him online I'll usually watch it. He's a very interesting guy to listen to and he has a lot of great stories, and he also has a great perspective on life. I think he's a decent, honest, humble guy and he's very family oriented and those are qualities that I admire. So, I became a fan of the man, not the wrestler. Oddly enough, I just finished re-watching "Wrestling With Shadows." It's a great documentary and it shows Bret and his family in a really good light. I don't know how someone could watch it and not like Bret and his family.
+CommentatorDeluxe my parents lived in Calgary in the 80's and the Hart's were well known. My father never liked wrestling, nor do I but he would tell stories about hanging out at corner store and the Harts would walk in with no shirts on, chest all stuck out bragging about fights they got in the night before. This was before they got famous in wrestling, not sure what they did before but apparently they were infamous in Calgary during the 80's
***** Bret wrote it himself in his autobiography, he constantly slept with women on the road while having a wife and kids at home. He loved cheating on his wife.
I met Bret once, he was so nice to me. He has so much integrity. HHH and Vince were wrong for doing Bret wrong, especially since he already completed all his contractual dates.
It's not that clear cut. Bret was done in, absolutely, but Bret contributed to some of the actions of the screwjob. He didn't ease the traditions as well.
Kendall Fleming, Bret had creative control on leaving the company. In a sense he was doing Vince a favor by wrestling Shawn at Survivor Series. Bret would have dropped it to Taker, Austin or Shamrock. He still would lost the title, but not Shawn.
@@nanobluelectrobuzz9227 Did you not see how that attitude worked out? Shawn was being a prick, no doubt, everyone said it plain as day. However, Bret was being difficult as well on where to drop the belt. It was about Bret and not what's best for business. I don't know how old you were at the time, but keep in mind what was happening. Monday night wars, Brett was leaving and getting 2M a year so he was winning regardless, Vince had witnessed not too long prior, Alundra Blaze dropping the women's championship belt in the garbage can on WCW television. Tension was high, you think Vince was going to chance Brett taking the belt to WCW? Now they go over all these finishes and etc and Bret says no to all of it. Bret of course was doing this to middle finger Shawn for Shawn middle fingering Brett for the lost my smile move. Yet, Shawn was staying, he was an A hole but he was Wwe's A hole as Jim Cornette stated. A time honored tradition is on your way out you do favors and job and drop the belt to the next guy. Brett said na, so others behind him wouldve pulled the same stunt. Shawn tried it on Austin but Taker said, na. As far as Survivor Series goes, Bret was contractually obligated to wrestle Shawn. If Bret wouldn'tve it wouldve been breach of contract. Creative Control means you have control over how your character is used and booked but not where he can show up under contract. Now you can say all of it with CC but back them it had its limits. It was fucked all the way around but when you have Jim Cornette, Nash, Hall, HHH, Jim Ross, Austin, Taker, Mark Henry, all saying Bret was being a baby too, guess what I'm inclined to belive them
@@davemustaine6694 You're being intellectually dishonest, you picked one name out of all the names I mentioned and said well if HHH said it, then, I'd belive anything. Absorb all of the context, I said if Cornette, Austin, Hall, Nash, Taker, HHH, Henry, and throw in Hebner were all saying Brett was being a baby, then, I'm inclined to belive them. Brett had a lot of love back stage, even the people that really liked him said he was being a baby. You went nope, he said HHH name, it's a lie. Stop it! It wasn't him who said it alone
I’m so proud to say I have met Bret twice in person. The first time I arrived at the event he was going to be at roughly 9 hours before the doors opened since I got a cheap seat and thought I would have to get there mega early if I wanted to have a prayer of meeting Bret. It turned out Bret wasn’t there yet, and when he was driven to the venue, instead of sneaking Bret through a back entrance, they took him to the front, and I got to talk with him briefly and shake his hand before anyone else there that day, as I was still the only fan waiting at the door at that time. I didn’t get a picture or autograph until later that night when he was actually signing and meeting fans, but it was so cool of the people in charge of the promotion to let me have that minute or so of time when he didn’t have to talk with me at all until it was time to meet fans. That’s a memory I will treasure forever for sure.
Old school wrestling fan here. Amazing interview. No dumb questions and you handled Bret’s answers professionally. Bret, you’re always one of my fav’s...I never knew you and Roddy were that close. RIP the Rodster.
After, Owen passed Martha stopped being a Hart . Period. She is legally allowed to remarry now. She is not blood related, like kids are, and she has brainwashed the kids to in my opinion.
They lived wrestling it was in their blood. I can understand martha's feelings, but Bret is the greatest to perform in the ring, Owen could easily have stepped in his place when Bret left, but WWE failed him. Do not allow this man's greatness be forgotten, Owen was a great performer just like his brother.
funny how this pops up on my feed after listening to Martha on Talk is Jericho and hearing even more what a disgusting and vile person Vince and WWE is
@@thewaker34 Both are right in their own philosophy. Martha wants everyone to remember Owen as not only good wrestler but also how good of human being he was... And how helpful he was... By Owen Hart Foundation

I was always an NWA/WCW guy. Bret was the one WWF/WWE guy I liked and followed. In a company of cartoon characters, he was one of the few who at least pretended that the company was more than just a vehicle for selling toys to kids.
My hero since childhood, now I am listening to him after 25 years, and I couldn't be more proud to have chosen him as my hero! very honest and real to the core! I hope he lives happy for a very long time because the day he passes away I will probably cry myself to death...
Owen was a phenomenal talent. It's a shame that the rivalry with "The Steiner Brother's" didn't last long. A prolonged rivalry would have been remembered for ages to come.
Two so stark and contrasting viewpoints on the same issue Bret views Wrestling as something that gave him and his family everything Martha views Wrestling that took away everything from her and her family So viewpoints differ..but no doubt both of them love Owen Hart
I watched the Vice interview of Owen first. I got the strong impression that Martha was going over the top with her anger towards the WWE. The biggest wrestling family in history has the biggest thorn in its heel. Hope she sees the light, and lets the world see how great he was.
If Owen was alive nobody would suggest he should be in the hall of fame. Or even have a best of dvd of him Ham n eggers don’t get in the hall of fame. Owen wasn’t great he was Bret’s little brother that’s how he got a spot. Shot on the mic. Shorty characters the blue blazer? Nugget Owen. He sucked and just got degraded his last several years
Bret is totally right about Martha and how she handles Owen's legeacy, etc. Bret personally should have full control over anything related too Owen instead of her.
Heretic Life it’s true. She may have been his wife and the mother of his children but man she’s indirectly shitting on Owen’s legacy. Bret is his BLOOD, I’m sure Bret would agree that Owen would have wanted it that way too. You stupid dick-head.
@@miamibrando3471 Owen really wouldn’t have cared about his wrestling legacy because he didn’t want to be a wrestler. Owen said this himself in a shoot interview.
@@jkdunk20001988 Watch his RF Video shoot interview (if you can get it for free) from the early/mid 2000s. He's clearly came up with some signal with his foot or something else off camera to have Rob Feinstein remind him of his train of thought. And even then he just asks directly to be reminded a few times. It definitely took a toll on him, but it does seem like he's recovered at least a lot.
I like Brett's honesty. Today, the "behind the scene's", is controlled, and fans that follow everything from the shows, to where are they and what's next, still question what's true. This interview and many more from Brett, leave no questions and straight honesty, like it or not, it is what it is.
@@squadabingo9113 I just thought he was cool. I first saw him as the Blue Blazer and later with the New Foundation , his offense was unique. @@th3gr81 thats awesome. Him and his brother were definitely something special. Always stayed loyal. I wonder why they had him come down on a zip line/ cable. Probably because Sting was doing it in wcw like every week and Sting had crazy ratings
It's interesting to see Bret talk about Owen and his widow Martha, it's an interesting question about allowing the company responsible for his death to celebrate or indeed profit from his career, that aspect seems to be his wife's main contention whereas Bret wants to celebrate the career of a great wrestler which far predates his time in WWE, regardless of who it profits. It's hard to choose a side in this instance as both have legitimate gripes.

If anyone can beat Cancer, Bret Hart can. He put the Stroke in a headlock, young as he is. You (Bret) are a hero. We are not important, you and your family are but we all love you. Fight hard. You are an inspiration.
Bret Hart used to annoy me in his interviews because he's so bitter but now that I'm older I appreciate him. I love the brutal honesty. Bret Hart is a great man.
Great interview and an excellent interviewer asking pointed, relevant questions that Bret didn't shy away from answering. I worship Bret, my favourite in-ring presence of all time, rivalled only by his brother and Kurt Angle for the ability to tell a story in a match. He is bitter about the SJ and rightfully so, it started his life on the road to hell, if that didn't happen, I don't think Owen would be dead, as the course of history and Owen becoming the Blue Blazer may not have happened. Bret however does have a tendency to judge a wrestler on what he did for him rather than wrestlers in general, he calls out Hulk, Warrior and Jake (had no idea he had an issue with Jake or that Jake didn't help others) for the first and foremost not helping HIM...then others in that order, that's the only thing that bugs me in an otherwise brutally candid interview full of raw emotion
Owen was a great worker, heel, babyface, singles, Tag. He literally crushed anything sent his way. I truly believe if he didn't die he should've got the push HHH got.
Bret was my favorite growing up, still probably the best tactician ever. Owen was always an exciting to watch. Bot Owen and Bret are top 10 all time in my opinion.
Excellent interview. I didn't expect Brett to be so candid. Time flew while I was watching, I thought it was 6 or 7 minutes. I look up, 17 minutes later.
We love you Bret, you will never be forgot, you are without a doubt the best wrestler of all time!! The best there is the best there was and the best that there will ever be!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bret is by far the best wrestler of all time! In and out of the squared circle... Always classy... i was a kid and i gave up on wrestling after Wrestlemania X... After the Hitman, real pro wrestling was over...
I see both sides of this one: Yes, I''d love to see Owen's legacy honored, but I also understand Martha's not wanting McMahon to profit off the memory of a man who died needlessly because he hired an inexperienced rigger using equipment never designed for the task all to save about 2 seconds of airtime!
Based on the downward spiral WWE stock is on, it's plummeting ratings, and the inside speculation that Vince might be looking to sell... will there still be a WWE by the time she passes?
@Andre Ricardo Bryant Watch the "The Dark Side of the Ring" episode on Owen's death. Both Oje and Athena share their mother's opinion that they have no interest in allowing the company they feel killed their father to EVER benefit off him. If Vince is serious about a video collection of Owen's life/career, he'd offer to donate 100% of ALL profits, (as established by an independent auditor), to the Owen Hart Foundation... but, of course, we all know he'd never go for letting a nickle go... and, as I said, the HoF is out, period!
@Andre Ricardo Bryant Hense the suggestion to donate 100% of the profits; WWE can recoup it's costs, but not a penny more... but knowing how Vince does business, (and the criminal element in a position of power his wife is working for), that's why I said the project would require an independent auditor to keep everybody "honest".
@Andre Ricardo Bryant Well, than Vince better look elsewhere because those kids aren't interested and God himself (who is probably still mad about losing to Vince and Shane at Backlash 2006) wouldn't be able to change that.
What I love about Bret. He’s not afraid to tell it like it is. He don’t give a fuck about the backlash or what WWE might do to him or not call him. He don’t care, he’s a good guy and he doesn’t bullshit you!! Much respect!!
Bret is always candid in interviews, I sure hope he and Martha have been able to settle differences. This is an older interview, best of luck on your channel.
I love this interview!!!!😮🖤 One of my favorites involving Bret Hart that I've seen thus far. I have the Owen Hart DVD that they mentioned here and I watched Dark Side of the Ring on Owen's Fall/accident/death. Really sad, Cornette crying, pretty tough to watch. My younger brother has the book Martha Hart made about Owen Hart.
This is a prime example of why Shane McMahon should be put in charge of WWE when Vince finally gives it up because obviously older superstars wouldn't respect Triple H and wouldn't have that much to do with the WWE in the future.
What Bret is failing to realize is that Martha was Owen's wife and if my wife was killed due to the company she works for negligence I wouldn't want to be involved with that company nor would I want my wife's legacy tainted with her former employers shitty way of an apology by trying to put my wife into a bullshit hall of fame that isn't even real to begin with or any other bullshit memorabilia they can think of. So, after watching this and the owen hart episode of dark side of the ring I've come to the conclusion that Martha is right and Bret has his head up his ass.
Exactly, I understand him wanting his brother to be recognized for his wrestling but WWE is not the way to do that. Vince wants to do that so he can make money. As soon as Owens name is attached to the HoF he will be trying to make a buck by selling collector editions boxsets for his matches, action figures, video game character models, etc. The HoF is simply a contract selling away your character and likeness for the rest of your life. Look at what happened to Sting. So I totally understand Martha not wanting Vince to make even a penny off of Owen, and I’ll be honest I don’t think Owen would want Vince to make money off him either. I think he is content that his wrestling, and his commitment to being an amazing dad speaking for itself and will live on forever.
@TheMk002 in the dark side of the ring documentary about owen hart certain hart family members actually helps Vince McMahon in his lawsuit case so they knew what Martha was going to be throwing at them.
You’re a complete idiot if you think bret is failing to realiZe Martha is owens wife. Bret was at Martha’s side for two years when the rest of the hart family wasn’t. Just cause they had a falling out later and bret did this interview doesent mean Bret failed to realize maths was owens wife. Who was there to hug Martha when she saw her dead husband for the first time in the casket? It was bret. So don’t listen to one interviewer and sound ridiculous like bret isn’t thinking of Martha when for two years he went against his own family through the lawsuit to back her. Do a little reading before talking like an idiot.
For all those that think Bret is bitter or likes to bury ppl for the hell of it examine what he speaks about when referring to his sister in law. He speaks about the Owen Hart situation candidly and is a straight shooter with everything he speaks of. Ppl don't like it but it's an amazing trait to be honest and a free thinker. He is always ready to tell ppl how he feels and never backs down. He has even told guys from his past on their podcasts that he said what he said and meant it. For all the phonies in the world that talk smack and and change it up this is a lesson on how to be a true leader of a locker room. Guys who have been looking to get themselves over should look to be a bit more like Bret Hart. Was given the torch without validation as he won title on a house show from Ric. Was handed business at lowest point financially speaking and carried it with Taker, Shawn and all others after him. The guy did what he had to and it well. Truly believe he was pound for pound the best to ever lace up a pair of boots. Sure he was not ever the best promo or the best in ring performer maybe never even the most engaging guy on any roster but he had all the tools and gave it 110% which to me makes him the best. Out worked everyone, out smarted guys and even Vince McMahon said he was the best story teller in the WWE. THAT IS HIGH PRAISE !! BEST THERE IS, BEST THERE WAS, BEST THERE EVER WILL BE
Victor Munoz I found it amazing that even with his feelings on WWE and his own career how he sides with them on honoring Owen. He is definitely open and talks directly.
Sad to see Bret is so bitter. He's my favorite Wrestler and it just sucks cause the shit with Hogan and Jake was back in 1992, it's 2017, they are lucky to be alive when so many of there comrades have died. Just sad is all.
Yup. But he truly was a great bagpiper. That’s how he got his name. His first match the announcer said “what’s your name”. He said “Roderick Toombs”. (Sp). What do you do”...”I play bagpipes”.....”....I brought the guys from my bagpipe troupe”.....”ok you’re Roddy Piper”.
