Well in a way its educational on how treating a woman the way he does is NEVER a good idea. Sticks in the back of your head like how Mount Hakurei stung him every time he had an impure thought.
I do hope they find someone that doesn't try to force their voice to sound like him, but sounds like a Miroku anyway. Like how the Final Act's Kagome and Sesshomaru did. I still liked the original voices more, but the way I see it, better to have a 7/10 Kagome and an 8/10 Sesshomaru rather than a dub voice that didn't cut it or not being dubbed at all. If I do get around to watching Yashahime (as of this comment I have yet to decide if I'm going to watch it, I personally think Inuyasha didn't need a sequel it ended almost perfectly) it will be hard hearing another voice coming out of Miroku's mouth.
In spite of his obvious flaws, Miroku's still a great guy imo. He's also arguably the perfect travel partner for this kind of time period in history. My ideal travel partners would be Miroku and Inuyasha. With Inuyasha's raw demonic power and Miroku's formidable spiritual power combined with his tactical genius, you'd be near untouchable.
Fun fact: Their was a running in-joke in which the late Kirby Morrow and fellow Canadian voice actor Kelly Sheridan would frequently voice characters who would become romantic interests to each other. Examples include Inuyasha (Miroku and Sango), Megaman NT Warrior (Dave and Sal), The Vision of Escaflowne (Van and Hitomi) and various other series that I probably don’t know about.
That's my favorite Miroku line. But my favorite Miroku moment is: "I ask for you to bear me a son." "*squirrel noise?" That still makes me laugh my head off every time.
Just heard the news and I’m broken. There’s so many lines I’ve quoted from Miroku since I was 10 and an entire decade later, they still bring me joy and make me laugh. Rest in Paradise King ❤️

Kelly Sheridan (Sango) was the official voice actress for Barbie in all the CGI Barbie films through the 2000s. The first one in 2001, Barbie in the Nutcracker (based on the Tchaikovsky ballet), featured Kirby Morrow voicing the nutcracker/prince character playing opposite her. I loved all those films as a kid! My sis & I always awaited the next one releasing on Blockbuster rental shelves lol. I didn't find Inuyasha until years after it first aired the English dub, I was a sheltered kid of baby boomers & didn't get into anime until my teens in the early 2010s. When I started watching, the cadences of Sango & Miroku's voices struck a chord of memory. Did my digging and found them among the Barbie films cast. It's kind of funny to see the vast contrast of characterization with the sames voices. They literally dance a dramatic ballet pas de deux at the end of the barbie film, with the prince sadly crying out that he loves Clara as she fades from the land of sweets back to her own world. And then there's....Miroku XD

PotatoPahtato I didn’t know this but he’s 18 in the earlier episodes, which means he was 15 when he said that to her. Still a little weird but at least he wasn’t like 25.
RIP Kirby Morrow. Voice actor of Miroku of "Inuyasha" and Cole Bronkstone of "Lego Ninjago". I will forever miss you. While it's been years since I've seen Inuyasha, I'm more familiar with Kirby Morrow voicing cole as the earth ninja.

Just wanna bring special mention to 20:09 here. Kagome and Sango call Miroku out for what he did, yet have no problems with SessRin. Also should be noted that Kagome and Sango are older sisters, so it’s very likely their protective instincts kicked in upon learning about Miroku asking an 11yo his signature question.
@@TheCuteVamp Yeah that part is true. Though when I wrote that comment it wasn’t said that Rin was 18 at that time. There’s also the fact that he met her when she was a kid. It’s just something that’s funny to me with the hindsight of SessRin being canon seeing as how Kagome and Sango were present for the birth of Towa and Setsuna and had no problem with SessRin, but gave Miroku crap for asking someone, who at the time was still a pre-teen while Miroku was 15 but they meet back up a few years later (the time of the episode), his signature question. Basically their reaction is how fans reacted to SessRin being canon yet in canon they are fine with it.
@@Darthlucy1 Do remember that people became adults around age 13 during the feudal era in this show. Evidence of this is that Koharu was already an adult when she was reunited with Miroku in Episode 41, yet she was only 14.
Miroku and Inuyasha are the best traveling partners you could have. They're both so handsome, but also strong. Demonic and spiritual powers makes so much sense. I'm so glad they added him into the group. I absolutely adore Miroku. RIP, Kirby Morrow. 😥😥
Miroku’s moment are genuinely funny and Koharu’s feelings for him is quite wholesome. I also remembered him hitting on Kagome. That water goddess is the first demon Miroku considered flirting with (he’s usually enamored with human females).
it's obvious that women are the world's most heavenly beautiful creatures to Miroku, maybe he should have told that to Sango, but I guess she still wouldn't want to be touched even with nice words like that
