Using a Mulligan to escape Banbury. That is such a classic put down and far better than Sir John Betjeman and Slough. I think Cal Crutchlow uses the left/ right game at each MotoGP.

You need an "In Town" exception to the left/right rule.. something like "Left/Right in the country... straight through any town". Avoid spending 80% of your time in town... dodging dead-ends... Banburry or otherwise.

Great vid guys, I play a variation on that.... I ask the Mrs on the back which way, to which she usually screams "I don't know" and I refuse to take no for an answer and follow whatever direction she begrudgingly chooses 🤣🤣🤣🤣 We usually eventually end up at home, I do this to cement her local knowledge for when she's riding on her own bike

I had sooooo many things to say, but . . . I forgot; except hearing "On the Road Again," which the Captain of the U. S. S. Coral Sea, during the two cruises I made from 1982 - 1984, always played over the 1-MC each time we departed port, on our way back out to sea. I'm not sure if I had a tingling of anguish, or delight. But it was a memory.

My wife and I drove around the UK in 2010 (we're from Australia). We had a couple of nights in Banbury but left after the first night. What a shithole! I was pissing myself laughing every time you headed back to Banbury. The rest of the UK was awesome though (plus we did the TT races). Great vid!
