I know “Hippie Hollows” quite well! I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas in the Army from 1975 through 1978. As soon as I arrived I was informed by many about Hippie Hollows. That first summer, me and some friends went. I found the gay section in the rocks and ledges, and thought I had found paradise!!! And that, it was! Naked men all over the place!! Sun bathing, having sex…. You name it. I was not “out” yet, so it was the perfect place to explore all of that…..and I did! It helped me so much and to this day I have very fond memories of it. I want to go there again and relive the memories, which I have not done so yet. But I still plan to do so. Maybe this summer!!! It is one of my fondness memories of my coming out experience!!! 👀😮😛😍💦💦🍆💦💦🦴
We often go to Ottawa for long weekends. There were rumours about a nude “beach” in Gatineau Park across the river. My husband and I drove to the approximate location and parked the car. We noticed a few people walking up a lane way so we followed. After awhile we saw a sign which read, “nudity is prohibited in Gatineau Park”, so we knew we were on the right track. Lo and behold, there it was. Since then it has been promoted as a great family hiking spot so it is a nude beach no more.
