The very 1st and only time I heard about them was on Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon for the early 2000's. But in there, there was only 1 woman and that was He Xiangu.
All the eastern religions Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Confucianism, Shintoism, and Shamanism. Are all basically just revised versions of each other like Islam and Christianity that’s why, they’re like a family line, with Hinduism as the oldest followed by Buddhism
Nice video. Could you tell the story of Chenxiang and the Magic Lotus Lantern? He’s the son of Erlang Shen’s sister and he trained with Sun Wukong in order to fight Erlang and free his mother from the Mountain. Erlang’s backstory is similar too, but that’s just one of his tales.
From what I can tell this isn't a coincidence, the 8 immortals from the show are based on them to the point where their signature items are also based on the actual legend.
Jackie Chan Adventures used a lot of Chinese mythology in their series and given the fact that the items used to banish the demons were the signature items (ie lotus blossom which banished the moon demon and the drum which banished the mountain demon) i also would confidently say yes to your question as well
We research our videos - believe it or not - and most mythologies and legends have different versions. Please feel free to contribute with your knowledge.😉👍
You are the best mythology guy(when you post real mythology) but the only complaint I got is I don’t see a Persian mythology or Indo-European mythology. At least I don’t see them on your playlist. You gonna do Indo-European and Persian mythologies, everyone else’s videos is just so boring. You gonna do it for the world.
Not really for me. I’ll be done watching the boring videos by the time you make the good one... but I already watch your videos even when I know what your talking about.... because your videos are short... good and short perfect for learning.
