Me and the aldults at my park do this every Thursday we gotta look after the parks round here because no one else cares and i dont see them building a new skate park anytime soon
I also just noticed that daewon grabs the board with his Back hand (his left hand since hes goofy) so I think that you would need to use your right (back) hand to do the flip and add in the frontside body varial as well. If you see this comment let me know what you think!
Yeah I knew there was something different about Jonny's version. I'm sure he will figure it out in every stance and every body rotation since we're talking about Jonny Giger here.
In the world of vert/tranny, it's kinda the same concept with Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist. Everybody points to Hawk as the vert GOAT, and I'd say he's deserving of that moniker, but it happens to be Burnquist who's Hawk's favorite vert skater.
@jonnygiger I'm 25yrs old with 4months in to skating. Bro!! You are my Daewon song! You shred on the board!! Your late flip tricks are killer!!!!!! Been watching your vids for the past month! You rock!! As soon as I can I'll donate and help you keep making them great videos!! Good vibes headed your way man.
How could anyone possibly give this a thumbs down? Johnny is literally trying and doing some of the hardest flat ground tricks in all of skating. He deserves serious props for this. Even two decades or more after daewon published his sick tricks, people are still trying to pull them off
Keep skating and killing it, that Tre to Manny Tre out was sick. Absolutely love your videos Jonny, thank you so much for the joy and talent you are sharing. Much love
Love your videos man. Great format and a lot of fun watching you learn new tricks. Also your attitude, way of life, values, and world view is refreshing and inspirational. I'm glad I found your channel.
I never really noticed how hard that nollie into the manual pad and then nollie flip on it and land back on nollie manual and nollie flip out is until this video. Crazy to think how DAEWON can balance it out so much. Living legend man 🙏🏼
Love your attitude and dedication Jonny! Breaking down the comfort zone, resilience and dedication in adversity, respect for the trailblazers. Thanks for spreading the positive tip
Jonny I've been watching your video's for a while now, and you're such an inspirational skateboarder. Thnx for the great content. I finally started skateboarding myself recently and i'm lovin it. Thnx bro!
Thank YOU Jonny Giger, for all the inspiration, through all these years. Since ever, I've been watching your videos and it is and will, ALWAYS, be blowing my mind 🙏🏻💚🛹👊🏻
Thx for trying to change the world at your scale by showing everyone can keep the planet clean. Your YT channel is getting the good way =) Btw, crazy awsome tricks...... (i'm 34 and trying to "re"skateboard after 20 years... it's ""pretty"" hard xD)
I'm 30 and stopped for 10 years. got back into it last year. I've missed it so much! Met a new homie at my local skatepark, he's 38 and also started again after 20 years. He beat me in a game of s.k.a.t.e on Saturday
honestly your my favorite skater not just because you shred on the board, but u are a genuinely good person and i appreciate all your hard work and the sick videos keep up the good work Jonny!!!!!!
It's very satisfying to watch you break a trick down and progress until you reach your goal. This was an awesome vid, and big ups to you for making a difference in your neighborhood.
Daewon vs Rodney was a life changing thing to watch for me. There was something about watching the best skaters skate the same 6 inch curbs I was skating.
Way to set an example for the younger generations, not that they will do the same but maybe one kid will do what you did and that’s progress so bravo man. Well done on the tricks too. Jonny Giger-Favorite skater for real.👍✌️
6:44 What's insanely impressive about Daewon skating manual pads - when he flip tricks onto the manny pad, he lands with his feet already positioned to flip out. 99% of skaters have to readjust their footing while manualling in order to flip out.
Love the videos iv actually went and started skating again feelbadman after 6 years but got the love of rolling about again just social anxiety so i go when local park is empty at 6am thanks for the sweet videos
Jonny made me have faith in skateboarding...nice dude who cares about his planet and where he lives and is super nice to everyone...I wish more guys were like him and I would’ve been skating the past 12 years instead of being embarrassed/scared to go back to the park...thank u Jonny
Thank you so much for putting in the fusion clip from DBZ, that's gotta be the funniest thing I've seen all week lol also, boss move cleaning up your skatepark. Where I live there's tons of trash all over the place and I try to pick up as much as I can, but I always feel like it doesn't really make a difference. So much of it is small that you'd have to spend days with a little poker walking around the neighborhood just to clean up a couple streets. And it's like that on this whole side of town =[
I honestly wish more ppl were like you like cleaning up while you wait and then go to skating and tear it up like usual your a great person hope the best for you.
Almost was my favorite skate team when they had Mullen, song, Haslam, pudwill and sheckler. I had the honor of skating with them on early 2010s in Gardena. Black kid. I was doing tricks man back then that even still I havnt seen anyone try. But giger you seem to get the beauty that comes from the almost swag! To me, your a member of the tech fam. Keep it up!
I like your videos they inspired me to actually want to skate. I will buy a board on Monday. With the video you showed that you are not just a great skater but a great person, too.
@@jessielean yeah bob burnquist is the best vert skater of all time, the final skate scene from the skating movie called grind was based off bob burnquist winning x games
Daewon Song is up there with Rodney Mullen, Danny way and Andrew Reynolds as far as I'm concerned. Love his style and that documentary about him sparked something in me that's to me skating 10x harder than before. Got my fakie big flips on lock today as well as some awesome truckstand and railstand variations too! You, The Braille crew, Rodney, Mike Vallely and Daewon are my biggest inspirations when it comes to skating.
I love these impossible tricks videos, shows how good everyone was back in the day. Normally things evolve but skating is all permutations of pop and rotation so then or now it's about pushing the envelope of one or other.. and then there's consistency, where Daewon and Rodney were a head above anyone else, then and now, with a few exceptions. All in all it makes you a better skater practicing moves from the entire history of skating, which is why I love Jonny for this series, and why I love watching Andy Anderson skate too. He brings back so much historical stuff and really showcases style in technique.
Was just about to see the same thing I'm already reading comments about here, and that is the uncommon goodness about you Mr. Giger, to pick up the cigarettes and trash like that when most people don't. I got a second the guy who made the comment below me who said that littering sucks! Yes it does and thank you for being man enough to care enough and clean up places that other people trash and take for granted! You are for sure the man!!
