@@stanbily9416 How about you try and articulate your actual thoughts instead of throwing out some random cultural meme that doesn't seem particularly relevant to what was said?
Wike is corporate academic constract. In brief, woke does not se gender differences. The gay are very much intetested so the go or went.. against the mainstream concept to fullfill it. It is controdicting concepts.
@James W In his defence, the ‘community’; it started out supporting people but now it’s just a captured identity group, you run the community as soon as you know and then instead of representing you, they’re the ones who educate you on how a ‘good gay’ is meant to be, there is next to nothing about the ‘community’ that has anything to do with sexuality, it’s an artificial culture consolidating a political power block
Yesterday I attended a Lesbian Project conference in London. Trans activist were waiting for us outside chanting, screaming really loudly, and intimidating us. Two women were attacked by them when we started to leave. Police had to escort us out. It's 2023 and women aren't allowed to congregate without the presence of men, I'm still in shock.
This has been happening to gay Christians with traditional beliefs for 40 years. No lgbt person cared. No newspapers wanted to know because it’s Christians it was happening to. I was almost beaten up in a “safe space” in the summer of 2000. I contacted so many influential people. Not one wanted to know. So now everyone can live with it. We could have stopped this years ago.

As a straight woman, I hope lesbians feel comfortable and not attacked, for not being attracted to biological men pretending to be lesbian women. We are truly living in strange times.
Hence the movement #letwomenspeak ... Serious basis of "What is a woman?" which apparently no educated person on the planet suddenly doesn't know and which poor and third world communities clearly do! ☺️🌺
I remember Bindel from the 90s - she's one of the radical leftist activists who created this nightmare we're currently living in. I have absolutely NO sympathy for any of them now they're getting attacked by the monster they created.
They did the lesbians left stonewall and the lgbt now qia+ They are the LGBAliance since 2010 since they warned the public in 2005! Nobody listened of course
Trust me, many of us want to, but they won't let it happen. There are several groups like hers starting to form to gain our identity back from the plus side of the group.
@@Nitecat64 Ok I hear you, but it's disgusting how this minority that shouts the loudest was able to hijack the whole alliance. My comment was more as a conceptual statement/ reminder, I understand the difficulty, of the reality since, there's all kinds of financial backing and political strong arming being injected into it, also activist opportunism in the sense that once gay marriage was 'pacified' in the US, the ideologically radical contingent as well as the self serving opportunists, saw they had to find a way more radical - and ultimately unattainable - goal, so they don't lose funding, grants, political clout etc... Not to mention and the whole industry of prosthetics, surgeons, so called 'experts', diversity trainers, book deals all pertaining to the CRT/Identity politics woke madness, and the the whole billionaire owned trans humanist industry that lurks behind it all.
I can’t get to grips with all these different groups. I’m straight, I recognise gay and lesbian friends, some bisexual and where I lived in Asia they had ladyboys. Too many letters, everyone wants to feel oppressed. I was shocked hear that under the rainbow flag there is a category for people attracted to children! Didn’t they used to be called criminals?
What a world! One phrase regularly trotted out is about “living my true authentic life” - some people should definitely NOT be when it involves children.
@Raven Moon you are 100% correct and that group is tagging along until it is passed under our very noses. And that's why I don't like this rainbow pride stuff because some have a sinister agenda. We are going to regret being so easy to get along with. Children are off limits!
There is not a category for people attracted to children, and they are not part of the LGBT+ community. If you hear about this, it's either come from those people themselves trying to get some sort of acceptance, or it's propaganda by anti-LGBT people or groups. Trust me, no LGBT people accept or welcome them in the community. You're right that they are criminals.
Hi, just want to set the record straight here - nonces (or MAPs as they've taken to calling themselves) definitely are *not* welcome in the LGBT community, no matter how much they try and claim that they are. They recieve repeated pushback all the time and actually believing their claims only helps them. Just as Britney Spears did not visit the Handforth Parish Council, they are not welcome and just saying that they are doesn't make it true. Please keep this in mind in the future and be kind to the LGBT community, especially trans people since people are fear mongering about them so much these days. Cheers!
The trannies can have their own group and community and leave the lesbians, bisexuals and Gays alone . I think A sexaul people could have some kind of group also and people who are romantically attracted the same sex could also be a part of that group.
I'm not gay but I totally agree with this lady. There are too many acronyms and it shows that women are still getting lost in different groups. One question I have is What the heck is A Romantic? It's getting worse and worse.
I'm not gay, or a feminist, but I totally agree with this lady. I'd imagine 'aromantic' means they can engage in and enjoy sex but without stable emotional connection. Like how an asexual can have romantic connections but no (pure) sexual desires. I'm not sure how an asexual feels about sensuality and eroticism, or parenthood.
There's a new government term for couples who wish to be conjugal partners ( common law marriage). Those that wish to partner together forever out of love and not for legal or financial reasons are showing ' positivity bias '. Love is now ' positivity bias '.
I've loved and supported my lesbian and gay friends for decades, before it was trendy. I don't support the surgical and chemical mutilation of children, that's a totally different thing.
As a gay women, I appreciate the support, but I implore you to not throw all trans people in the same bucket as the unhinged folks. There are trans people speaking out against a lot of the madness as well, and they don't deserve to lose respect, in fact they deserve even more of it. Blair White, Buck Angel, and Marcus "The Offensive Tranny" are a few of the really good ones. I have huge respect for these people. Like pretty much any group in society, there are some who are relatively rational and some who are not. There are lesbians who agree with a lot of the madness that I disagree with and I don't want to be thrown into their bucket, so I don't want to see that happen to anyone else.
@@justasomeone7860 I think it is time for real trans to create their own group like the LGB did. T alliance would be a good idea and they should make sure that only trans with gender dysphoria are represented by them and they fight against the transitioning of children.
Gay and lesbian are too separate species of humanity because each can’t live the other. It’s like the rabbit species and the crocodile species. Two separate species that hate each other and can’t love each other. G and L not the same human.
@Bingham Guevara and yet they are beset with the same difficulties caused by the hatred which is homophobia, which none of the other alphabet soup letters have to confront, except maybe the bisexuals
Now Julie has appeared on GB News, will she understand why Kellie Jay Jean had to appear of Fox, and concede that her doing so, didn't make her "far right", only that that was the only side of the debate that would allow her a platform.
Oh, King...sigh. Nothing about this mental health failure has one thing to do with politics. These are MEN that don't want to be a MAN. No politics. Just 100% mental health failure. @@edenbreckhouse because they’re deconstructing biological sex, the first to get hit were homosexuals (ie no sex , no same sex attraction), but the straight communities realising that comes for them too. No gay, no straight, no men, no women, just the blob of ‘queerness’
The Spicy Straights, e.g. a straight man married to a straight woman who calls herself 'non-binary' might refer to himself as 'queer' for kudos/attention. That type of tedious drivel.
It is! Unlike other rights movements that have looked for equal rights under the law, to ensure no discrimination on the basis of identity - the extreme (and very successful) end of the trans rights movement is wanting to erase and control language, to take away words that other people use to describe themselves with, to shoehorn into women's sports (which is segregated for a reason..I've yet to speak to someone who advocates for this that also agrees we should just "do away" with categories of male/female in sport). I've also seen a great deal of hostility towards so called "cis" people - again, this isn't the way that people simply looking for equal rights behave.
I don’t see any one stopping me. I simply shall not return to the establishment where a waiter scowled at me for addressing a man with a beard and a frock as ‘him’. I wish them no harm but will carry no water.
The main problem is , that in certain areas of the World people have too much time on their hands...and are obsessed with their sexual deviations. Do you seriously believe there are " genuine" transexual people? Sorry , but they are all deluded. ...and if we accept one, we must accept all.... That is exactly what they are relying on. A human being who is so deluded and unable to accept themselves ...has no right to force any other humans to accept them. The LGBs deserve our support. Ts and the rest of this Alphabet Group should be left on their own. JK Rowling: without biology, there is no same-sex attraction. PS love from Canada 🇨🇦
L is the first letter in the alphabet soup, yet the TQ+, mostly heterosexuals, are hellbent on eradicating it. Good luck to the Lesbian Project, sorely needed at this time.
Yeah well imagine how straight women feel we have been ravaged and subsumed by the trans movement. And some men (not all) can no longer identify what a biological woman is. Imagine asking your prospective BF 'what is a woman to you'? If they can't give you a 'straight' answer go no further.
Lesbians have been saying this *for years* but their voices were silenced as being 'wrong think'. I don't think it matters whether you're straight or lesbian either way, its all women that have a dog in the fight now, we should stand together; strength in numbers and all that.

@@laurenjones2909 I was listening to this crazy witch back in the 90s - back then it was lads-mags, men as a group and heterosexuality in general that she had a hate-boner for. So honestly, I don't really care that she's getting walloped by the woke culture she herself helped to pioneer. This is the thing with revolutionaries - they so often end up being put against a wall by their own side.
This lady and group may benefit from Kellie-Jay Keen and the phenomena of #letwomenspeak !! Women are losing all safe spaces, sport etc ... Good luck ladies 🌺
A very interesting interview. It does seem to me the the current use of gender pronouns is largely being forced on people as a matter of fashion, often by those who are not part of a sexual minority but wish to be seen as "progressive". Julie Bindel makes the very good point that it is up to the individual to identify in their own way.
Many of us are. But wasn't Julie Bindel a woman who spoke of homosexuality as a "social construct"? That is queer theory and is homophobic with *real* homosexuals (not political lesbians).
In solidarity with my Lesbian sisters - and in resistance to the routine abuse dished out by the oh so 'woke' "trans-activists" who will broke ("no questions, no discussion whatsoever") - I've decided that I will only attempt to engage in rational conversation with what I'm henceforth referring to as - "Cerebral-Cortex Haver's" - for obvious reasons. : )
Maybe this will also provide those poor young girls who are confused about their sexuality, and immediately appropriated by the Trans ideologists, a safe space so to speak, to work through their journey without irreversible surgeries.
Hats off to you love , no-one should have to be in a group with MAPS , I believe this maps crap is going bring down lgbtq system that's been forced on us .
Thanks for this! I've noticed over the last 5 yrs that lesbians and straight chicks at gay bars are being more verbally and physically abused (usually in bathrooms where gay men can't see) by people who identify as Transwomen yet don't stand for women. I miss the days where we all just shared the same roilets in gay bars and everybody just got on and had fun. Absolutely crazy.
I agree the transwoman thing is a problem for women in society (both straight and lesbian) but I’m not sure I really agree with straight women at gay bars either personally. It makes sense to go to a gay bar if you’re same-sex attracted. So since most transwomen are autgynophiles (straight men), and even the rare transwomen who aren’t agps are still men, I don’t see how you can justify using gay bars as a place to party for people who aren’t just looking for a same-sex date. You can’t complain about being around straight men who like lesbians and want to dress like them if you are intentionally seeking out gay men. We want our spaces as well as lesbians =(
I think the rot set in when LGB groups (esp Stonewall) started accepting transgender (not trans-sexual, which I see as an entirely different thing. I'm old-school in seeing sex as physical and gender as psychologiical) as it then stopped advocating for same-sex groups and highlighting the problems which were exclusive to them. I wonder if the reason for this is that they were so successful that they became almost redundant and so needed a new revenue stream to continue to fund their activities.
The rot set in when we started listening to people like Bindel and accepted homosexuality as having the same (or superior) social status to heterosexuality. There's a reason no society prior to five minutes ago did that.
@James W "Organisations like Stonewall sadly became corrupted" No - they were entirely clear about what they wanted decades ago. Read "The Gay Manifesto" if you doubt that.
Love Julie Bindel, and I respect all the great work she has done to defend incarcerated women over the years. She’s a hero. I heard her say recently that she’s not really worried about women who earn 1 million pounds a year when similarly-employed men earn 1.25 pounds a year. She was describing the difference between sexism (pay gaps) and misogyny (sexual abuse, rape, coercive control).
@James W Ah yes, his, progress is a train, we've reached the station but some don't want to leave the carriage, analogy. Fits perfectly with the likes of Stonewall et al. Douglas Murray is a clear thinker and eloquent speaker.
@@incurableromantic4006 Poor you! Your hatred is showing. The LGB never said they are superior and we have the right to have equal rights. If you want to live in a regressive society, the middle-east should be your destination.

The most disgusting conversation of the 21st century. Hope the day comes when these people are in jail for the Pandora’s Box of sexual hell they unleashed.
Gay also means happy. This idiotic use of language perfectly illustrates the demented reality that homosexuals are living in. Their problems are with themselves but they project it onto the rest of the world
@@callunaherissonne662 But we actually don't know what it means even after reading its definition. To the younger generation, gay/Lesbian are so vanilla. They are practically straight at this stage. Queer, Trans, Non-Binary, they are the new trendy identity markers for 21st century youth culture.
Why has it become such an important part of a person’s identity? To me who somebody likes to sleep with is the least interesting and important thing about them.
Finally, something I agree with Julie Bindel on. That People should stop saying lgbtqia++ blah blah, because it muddies the goals of each specific group, culture and lifestyle.
Just saying, so many normal people struggle through life with all sorts of complications but it’s just so arrogant the way these people aim to dominate conversation. More and more I have less compassion for the alphabet people as I need to prioritise my own mental health and life challenges.
So now lesbians are forced to date trans women? Oh hell no. I am a straight woman and I, personally, will never date anyone other than a fully-functioning biological male. Everyone should have the right to have exclusive preferences for who they date. Wishing the Lesbian Project the best of luck!
The fact is you are still a woman. Does being butch make you feel more like a man? To me lesbians just meant same sex attraction. I didn't know there were different types. Please excuse my ignorance.
@@msimons7440 I understand what you mean...I think if a woman chooses to live her life without a male partner, she needs to be stronger to make up for not having a man. Like a bit more confidence and assertiveness. Is that right?
I'm glad to hear people say some of these things. I am surprised, though, that she's not aware that the "homo" in "homosexual" means "same", not "man". (If it meant "man", then straight women could be called "homosexuals" as well. "Homo" is Latin for man, but Greek for "same" - different languages, different meanings. So that's why it is perfectly accurate for lesbians to be referred to as homosexuals as well.
