New videos will be published at 7 PM [GMT] on Thursdays.
The performances range from the very first Beggars signing The Lurkers in 1978, to a performance by Adele in 2008, plus everything in between, including Gary Numan, The White Stripes, The Cult, Bauhaus, The Strokes and many more. The footage is broadcast quality and has been transferred directly from the BBC archives.

This, live on TOTP?! Wow. How did I miss that? Oh that's right I live in New Zealand. I didn't think anyone appeared live on TOTP. Cool thanks. Pete wasn't invited because presumably he was a mess, at least that's what I got form the documentary and it seems Carl had had enough.

Take the word Live’ with a pinch of salt most of the TOTP’s performances were lip synced

That was the time when Peter was asked to get a grip on his drug use before rejoining the band, they ended up touring without him for a bit. A few weeks before this recording he burgled Carl's flat and ended up getting sentenced to prison later that year. According to Peter he tried to carve the Libertines tattoo on his forearm with a knife upon seeing this performance, very dark times. In the last few years of TOTP they allowed many acts to sing over an instrumental, seems here that it's 100% live though, some guitar mistakes here and there.
