@@vbian88 my opinion is, CC is playing the long game. she's going to build this team, either with Sides or without her. but overt conflict isn't desirable -- so she tries to keep her temper. not always successfully. but she's winning, in the end. because unlike Sides, and unlike the haters, and unlike a lot of other players, she cares about her team first. and she cares about basketball, for everyone.

With that said, I'm glad for her....let her rest, chill, work on her mid-range game, put on 5-7 pounds of upper body strength and get ready for next year. She's played what...58 games since mid October (and high minutes with high usage)...and doing all the hype/commercials/endorsements. She has to be exhausted to some extent.

Saxton never plays anyway. Not sure at all what she offers. Can Grace Berger play the running style they've been doing? She hasn't played in so long and not really at all since Clark's style has taken center stage for the team.

At Iowa, Clark averaged : 31.6 points 7.4 rebounds 8.9 Assist 1.7 Steals At Indiana she’s averaging: 16.1 points 6.0 rebounds 7.5 Assists 1.4 Steals The only difference is she’s facing defenses that are getting away with physicality that the NCAA would never tolerate.

And her coach is deliberately trying to dim Clark's light.

Clark seems to get mostly defensive rebounds. Therefore, Fever starts the attack with the ball in Clark's hands. Then it's off to the races.

She just needs to not force it when there's nothing there and pass the ball, it'll come back to her if she's in a better position.

Last year CC was playing against lesser defensive team-play. I'm sure she's had to adjust to not being able to get as easy shots and when she does she has to gas herself sometimes to get there. Last year Mitchell basically had to carry the Fever and I'm sure she's had to adjust to realizing she doesn't have to force as much anymore. This whole start to the season people have been up in arms over every little thing. I've just been enjoying watching this team grow. Coming from the worst team in the league to this even with a rough start is promising and they continue to get better, get more fluid, understand each other, trust each other. My unpopular take is that I think Sides is a good coach and has gotten blamed for a lot of the things the players had to get better at with time. She's focused on all of the right things and said it: Defense primarily which the Fever are so much more solid with - Weathering the tough early season storm and focusing on daily improvement as a team which they've made it through and grown as a team - One game really bad screens, so after the next game with solid screens she mentions their focus on screens. I'm not saying Sides is perfect but I think people assume a lot when no one is in their locker room and practice. I'm loving where this team is going.

@@rap3208 Exactly. She has mad speed/quickness and needs to know when to not push too hard. CC will give her good looks due to passes and stretching the floor. Hopefully they keep working better together like Boston has done with CC. I feel like she's coming around to the fact the offense runs through CC. We'll see. She is definitely a clutch player and brings a lot but I'm sure it's hard for her right now.

The Liberty were out of sync most of the game Vander sloot was gettin cooked just to slow they just didn't play well today all stats were down took and missed bad shots poor defending kinda were gettin blown by fast pace by the fever

yeah, Liberty missed several open shots. Fever defense still not covering well. But they played well enough to win.

They get shot clock violations because they have no offense. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if they don't run and score off their primary or secondary break, they won't score because they have no idea how to run a half court offense. That's on Sides.

Uh, ok?! Not sure if that's an accurate take. You condition and run to get in shape in order to play the full basketball games, not just to keep up the pace. As Kenny Smith wisely once said " you don't play basketball to get in shape, you get in shape to play basketball."

She knows her best five, she’s to close to the situation not to. She just has 2much loyalty or favoritism to lesser players because they were there before this season. But, if she really coach wants to win, she should know that CC is the best option to lead this as far as they’ll go. I mean it’s so obvious

@@victorforeman7056 she's swapped out her starting five twice this season and closed the game today with a third five. She is still figuring it out between Wheeler, Wallace, Hull, and Samuelson to go with the fab four.

@@mercurialblonde Drop Wheeler, she doesn't know how to play with CC. Wallace has her good points. Hull needs to have more minutes. She is awesome on defense and plays well with CC. Samuelson is just OK but she should get less minutes,

I saw a glimpse of it today, but I'd love to see more. Everyone knows CC wants to run those double screen curls out to 27 feet...we need to see more back door cuts off those plays. Just need someone to make the pass to CC. Curry gets a few of those a game, or instead of a curl he dips to the corner for a quick pass and shot. Young team, a coach who is struggling, but seemingly slowly adapting (?). Time will tell.

I didn't notice, but they all get to talk. For teams are getting better play better with each other is likable her face her expressions, her mannerisms. Lexi Hall and the other teammates are likable and I'm actually getting to know other players in the league. And yes, I like Angel Reese too.

She camp's out and plays in the paint. Assist magnet for CC considering she's shadowed at 94 feet and double teamed freeing up a shooter. I hope they actually play well together in All Star game. Win for the league.

They'll play together in the all-star game. It's exhibition and believe you me, any assist from cc to ar will be replayed on many a network. But obviously they're two very different players. Could fever use a under board hustler? Maybe. Could sky do with s savvy playmaker that attracts defenders like doodoo does flies? Absolutely, any team would . Let's watch the second half of the season

The league will adjust but the better comparison would be the NBA. Teams have adjusted due to Curry but something that will ring true in damn near any sport... A defense can play perfectly but if the offense does as well the offense will win. How many players have you heard in the NBA talk about all we had to do was stop "X player" but we weren't able to. Same thing will happen here the WNBA will turn into a run and gun league with all the shooters coming in the next couple years from college.
