Danzō Shimura was an elder of Konohagakure. As the founder and leader of Root, Danzō gained notoriety as The Darkness of the Shinobi because of his frequent unsanctioned actions and his often-suspected (but rarely proven) undermining of specific Konoha personnel. Despite his decades of suspicious deeds, Danzō only ever acted in what he believed were the village's best interests. He was appointed the Sixth Hokage Candidate after Pain's assault on the village. Prior to being inaugurated officially into this post, Danzō would flee the Five Kage Summit and died in battle against Sasuke Uchiha at the Samurai Bridge.

@@donkeybkong6491 nah, danzo lead the elders to believe the uchihas were apart of this, and even before the nine tails attack, the uchiha were always treated poorly. So then they made the uchiha farther out of the village excluding them from the village because they "suspected them" then the uchihas had enough of their bullshit and were planing to start a rebellion, but they didn't even get to. Before they even started, they were killed by danzo. So no, the village deserved it for the mistreatment of uchiha. Also danzo is the reason why a specific kid named naruto was bullied and hated for something he couldn't control and because danzo had to be a snitch and tell everyone he was the jinchuriki of the nine tails. More over he is just a straight up evil bastard using kids as anbu's and molding them into weapons for him to use.

@@sirmorallyincorrect4638 Its pretty clear an Uchiha had attacked the village. The sharingan was on the 9 tails eyes and the only people who could control the 9 tails were people with MS. Danzo wasn't "molding" kids for his own use. He believed that it was ok to use them as long as they were dying for the village.

Danzo was needed until the world of shinobi changed. He just didn't saw it while onoki saw it. But if you look well they were similar.

I know the world is a cruel place in both real life and the world of Naruto but wanting to kill anyone you don't like, wanting to kill anyone who you think is in the way of your goals or blaming an entire community for all your problems just so you can kill them will always be wrong. I don't know why you think it's ok to live in a world real or not where everyone's hands are stained in blood. The old saying "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" exists for a reason it's been proven in the world of Naruto and has been proven time after time in the real world but unfortunately unlike the people of the Naruto world the people of the real world refuse to learn and so tragedy after tragedy happens and we all slowly become more like blood thirsty animals intill all we know is manipulation, murder, and mass genocide wich we than call "justice" just like Danzo did and all that will do is plunge the world into even more chaos.

But it is one of the reasons we are not today part of the Nazi empire. Staline mass murder at least 50 millions of innocents people in russia but it's also one of the reasons we are not part of the nazi empire today. We bath on there blood because the peace was build with it. Would you change those events or are you happy with it ? Though question isn't it ? whathever you chose millions of innocents will die. @@HeroesHoshinope Being a leader isn't just being smart. A Hokage's first and most important job is to PROTECT the village. That mf didn't even order his Anbu to help evacuate people just because Tsunade was there. He didn't need to fight Pain. He just needed to be a shield for villagers. But he didn't That's why I was able to conclude ever since he lost to Hiruzen, he never worked for the village until his dying moments. He only cared about him being a Hokage and making the Leaf his village. He only cared about authority. A Kage is supposed to live and die for the village. He only tried to die for it.

Everyone should agree on this. Hiruzen gave too much freedom to Danzo and never paid any serious attention to his evil deeds even when Danzo tried to kill Hiruzen and he knew about that. If Hiruzen had eliminated Danzo then there would be many incident which could have been prevented from happening.

Hiruzen, what was I to you." -- Danzo Shimura One of the many amazing things this series did to me is that in every fight, I always hated the villain. But after watching and learning whar drove them to be the person that they are, it kinda makes you appreciate them and somehow -- bring yourself to like them. I can't believe it. But I was weeping at that scene where it shows the backstory of Danzo -- the Shinobi who has chosen to protect Konoha no matter what manner even if it means, being the darkness himself.

In that scene, it showed that Danzo Shimura truly admired Hiruzen no mattwe what rivalry they have had. To Danzo, Hiruzen was a hero who gave his life to protect Konoha.

I appreciate the upload. The fact lord danzo is such a divisive character is great writing and an example of how war and strife can make our friends into enemies. Not every villain in the show is irredeemable. Otherwise why would he get the outro he did, kishimoto meant to convey something there.

Idc what his motives. This man is a hypocrite through and through and always created more problems for the leaf village. “I want to protect my fellow citizen” *kills or seriously injures any fellow citizen that stands in his way*. Sure, he’s a well written character especially when you consider how integral Danzo’s role was to the story. But he sucked all around, his feelings of inferiority and true hatred towards Hiruzen is not something I can at all sympathize with. He was a jealous man who would do anything to be greater than hiruzen but never follow hiruzens path. Jealousy and feelings of inferiority Weill never be a redeemable reason for all the fucked up shit he did in the village.

Its almost like the two were always of one mind and thats why they were actually able to lead where gods died trying. Danzou Shimura is one of the best, most humane and most complex characters in Naruto. I hate him as a person, but, as a character, he is absolutely brilliant. In life, he also did some good things and is, in many respects, someone to look up to for people of the Naruto world, although his philosophy was way too extremist for most, being a corruption of Tobirama's original perspective. He will always be remembered as the Leave's shadow, creator and leader of the Root, and a representative of the powerful and prestigious Shimura clan. Sometimes I really wish some material about his life was released, like a "Danzou Hidden", since we already know he was a multifaceted person with lots of nuisance, and his personal life must have been incredible. A "Danzou Hidden" would also serve as a window into the Root, and, through that, into most of the Naruto world's politics.

He got to obsessed with power instead of protecting the village. He could’ve been a bit nicer to the uchiha and the leaf could’ve been way stronger with a lot of uchiha’s ,but he didn’t trust them. If he just trusted people he would almost be a better leader. His things he did it was for the village except it led to his downfall which was why he could’ve been a little smarter. He somewhat helped created pain and angry MS Sasuke along with the uchiha clan being stalked and wiped out.

He never wanted power to be the strongest like Naruto. Danzo just like Tobirama didn't trust the Uchiha but I mean he had a good reason. A sharingan controlled 9 tails had just attacked the village and what the Uchihas had got was minor. They were relocated but still in the village and spied on but it was from afar so their privacy wasn't really being invaded. Also Danzo had nothing to do with Pain that was filler.

Tobirama made new jutsu and used his own power. Danzo stole power for his own gain not the village. He cared about the village yes despite that everything he did was not for the village. You think of Danzo was six paths Naruto level he wouldn’t just kill anybody who questioned his authority? The reason he didn’t is cuz he couldn’t and he still tried to kill many on multiple occasions even when they were on his side.

The "fans" of the series fundamentally misunderstand the YinYang theme slammed against their faces time and time again by Kishimoto...that explains how Konoha came to be in the first place. Either they are dumb or just willfully ignore the theme to hate Danzo big meanie guy. Tobirama choose those 2 to lead the YinYang system and sacrificed his life for that reality as the best chance Konoha had at surviving. This is how Hiruzen led 4 or 5 generations when no previous or later Hokage could remotely compare.

If Orochimaru wasn't obsessed with achieving immortality he would have been the fourth Hokage they even make note that a good number of people who voted for him. And Fugaku got shafted. The fact that people trusted Orochimaru more than Fugaku as Hokage is extremely telling. Personally I see them both is equally untrustworthy Fugaku with abused the position the only forward the Uchiha. Plus with Fugaku as Hokage it would have meant an end to the Will of Fire. With Orochimaru as Hokage the only real problem theyd face is an increase of kidnappings

If he did he wouldn't agree to start a coup, regardless of the clan's ramblings. He put his clan before the village. What he did was a very Game of Thrones course of action
