Don't forget that Loki possesed two Infinity stones at the same time ( his scepter and the tesserect). So, Squidward was wrong when he said that Thanos was the first who had 2 Infinity stones, Loki was.
A lot of people seem to be arguing about wether Loki is "good" or "evil", but that's the beauty about this character: he is neither. He is furios but caring, hurt, selfish but also remorseful. I think that's what makes him relatable and interesting, because it's more realistic and you never quite know what he will do next.
Basically, he's not one dimensional. He doesn't fall as a hero or a villain. Because, "no one good is ever truly good, and no one bad is ever truly bad," this is my favorite quote from him
Thor: Help my brother is dying Loki: *Pretendes to be dead* Thor: *yeets Loki across room* Loki: *gets up* THor: That was fun Loki: *Under breath* still hate it Thor: Laughs I love siblings
Loki when he is in movies: Thor: Dies The Avengers: Steals the tesseract Thor The dark world: Dies Thor Ragnorok: steals the tesseract Avengers infinity war: dies Avengers Endgame: Steals the tesseract Conclusion: Loki is an absolute legend that cannot be truly dead even if some grape with rocks says he is
Imagine being a sibling who felt like a shadow to your brother, feeling like you're not worthy of the throne, finding out that you were adopted not that it's bad but the fact that you were a frost giant that the whole Asgardians hated on and tell scary stories about them, finding out your biological father abandoned you because you seemed *weak* , your step Father told you that he saved you so he can bring peace to both worlds making it feel like you're used, ended up putting a sleep to your Father and feeling guilty but having the throne already making a chance that you could prove to father that you're worthy, making a plan to save your father but ended up your Mom is more happy seeing your Brother came back, telling your father that you did everything to prove him and him telling you that you were not worthy at all, didn't gave up and tried to prove some more to your father that you can rule and that was ruling earth, rethinking what have you done but remembering the threat, got back to your home except being put in prison and most people hate you now, but your Mom was there for you always, feeling comforted by it and yelled that your step dad isn't your dad. Making your mom saying that she was not your Mother? Replying no and regretting what you have said to the person you loved the most, hopefully she will come back so you can apologise and bring back what you said but finding out she died. Having anger and sadness because that was the last thing you said to her, then your Brother told you that you can seek revenge to the dark elves and agreeing, going there and saved your brothers girlfriend and created an illusion so you can rule Asgard, putting your Father away, revisited your Father who you tried to prove for so Long that you were worthy and he finally said it and he said loves you and your Brother dearly and died. Finding out you have another sister and she yeeted your brother thinking he died and lived in a world that is in piece, where you tell stories and everything then your Brother came back and you told him to just stay here because of how wonderful it is, but then your home is in danger, your brother told you that you both should fight equally, the thing you've always wanted for years was an equal, finally proving that you were worthy to your people, had a change of heart, killed your step sister, happy that your people and your brother are gonna start a new life in earth, then your old friend wanted the blue cube you've been using it for years and giving to him because your Brother was dying, got tricked and died. The last thing you felt was your Brother hugging you. Worst part is that if you haven't experienced all of those yet and you came to time company called the TVA and have someone name Mobias who is trying to help you, watching your whole life in one tape video and seeing everything. Including how have you changed and seeing you father accept you and that you were worthy, seeing how your Mother died and seeing your bond with your brother again after a long time. And I just wanna say Odin you messed up.
"He was confronted by Iron Man, who he failed to put under his control, *so instead he threw him out the window* _Modern problems require modern solutions_
Anyone else want a movie of Thor and Loki's childhood? I want to see where Get Help came from, and I want to see the story of the snake. I feel like it would develop their brotherhood more.
I felt like they needed that when I watched the first Thor movie, it would've better explained their relationship and why Loki always felt like he was in Thor's shadow or left out in some things.
I mean, a lot of Loki's issues could have been avoided if Odin had been more honest and open with him from the start. Instead he made his sons feel like they had to compete with each other for approval. No wonder one of them ended up as a head case with severe daddy issues. Also, if your son is a frost giant, it may be helpful if you don't teach your kids that frost giants are monsters. He had a full mental break and just became the monster that he was told that he was.
He was, he just didn't realize it. Odin showed mercy to Loki by not killing him on his birth planet. He wanted to be Thor's equal. But Odin told him that "only one could ascent to the throne, but *both of them were born to be kings.*"
That's why Marvel made them look so similiar then,I mean: Dark hair✅✅ Villain/has been a villain✅✅ Likes green✅✅ Want peaple to kneel✅✅ Sense of humor that is only theirs✅✅ Magic✅✅ Unwanted by Odin at a point✅✅ Are we REALLY sure Thor isn't the adopted one?
It actually depends on which myth you’re looking at… Loki is a character who has been interpreted in many, many ways. It’s the reason why he’s neither good nor evil.
Loki was just conflicted, broken, unloved and hurt. If he was praised and loved he wouldn't have been a villain in the movie. :( I still truly believe he is a good person at heart
@ZAP GAMERZ Have you watched Ragnarok? Hela reveals what Asgard was all about when she revealed the original paintings on the walls. Implies that Odin was as much of a villain as Hela and he got all the respect and the ability to deem others worthy or not?! If Hela was an unstoppable killing machine, then so is Odin. They are all still murders you see... Anyways, I had so much hope for Hela in the MCU. One of the best portrayed villains, thanks to the actor! (Unlike the stupid Brie Farce-son)
Loki’s life is depressing because he lacks love & affection from his family. I feel him, it’s so heartbreaking when he knew he was adopted and for his whole life he had been a shadow of thor. I still have the chills when he said he was a monster. Yet they’re the best siblings in the MCU
Look was loved by Thor, oden, and his mom. He was power hungry, constantly made poor decisions. He caused the death of his mother , which made him sad and feel guilty. Oden loved him , didn't kill him . Which he could have. The only kingdom he was entitled to was the frost Giants. He got what he deserved.
Since everyone loved Loki, Loki(the show) featured more types of Loki and also Loki being in loved with Loki and Loki sacrificing to save Loki and Loki then alligator Loki. Yes I'm trying to make this confusing for those who haven't watch the show yet
One time Loki changed into a snake. When I was a kid I really loved snakes so I picked him up. He changed back to normal and went, "YAHHHH! It's me!" *and then stabbed me.* Loki: *grins*
There was one time when we were children,he transformed himself into a snake, and he knows how I love snakes,so I went to pick up the snake to admire it,and he transformed back into himself and he was like 'MBLEH!IT'S ME!' and he stabbed me..........we were 8 at the time. Loki:*smiles while thinking'yeah I did that'* I know that scene off by heart!
I'm super excited for Loki to get his own TV show, but I kind of fear that will be the last we will see of Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Tom has said many times that he absolutely loves to play Loki, and that he's the most fun, yet deep, character he's ever played. But in a recent interview (from shortly after Endgame was released, I believe), Tom said that it's also exhausting for him to be associated with such a popular character, and that he wants to try out something new and 'less popular'. Tom Hiddleston has always been so perfect as Loki, and I simply can't think of any other actor playing him. I just hope his passion for being Loki is rekindled after getting his own show, and that he will continue being the best MCU villain of all time for a little while longer.
i’m pretty sure after loki season 1 the story will continue in the new dr strange movie coming out in 2022. after that i think there will be a season 2.
@@aamna4584 Yeah I wrote my comment before the 'Loki' show even started, so I guess my fear of Tom discontinuing portraying Loki was based off of rumours and fan speculations lol
I can't believe that no one mentioned that Loki was tortured and listened to in the avengers. Thats why when he first met fury he was limping and falling, his eyes were originally green, but in this movie he had blue eyes, and there were so many times when he wanted to stop but couldn't because everything he said could be heard by that evil blue thing and evil purple raisin.
"He once turned into a snake, and when Thor picked it up to admire the snake, Loki dispelled the illusion and stabbed him" Lol you remembered the scene from Thor Ragnarok
2:43 - 2:50 "There was this one time when we were children- he transformed himself into a snake, and he knows I loved snakes, so I tried to pick up the snake to admire it, and he transformed back into himself and he was like 'BLEAH IT'S ME!!' And then he stabbed me. We were eight...at the time."
That scene where Loki screams TELL ME is a great example of how perfect Tom Hiddleston has played this role. He starts in Avengers as the Big Bad but by Infinity Wars he sacrificed the tesseract and his life to save Thor and remains the of Asgardian race. Loki is worthy of his “birthright” at this moment
Just saying if loki never stole the tesseract in the first place then Thanos would have never attacked and it might have even been destroyed with asgard stopping Thanos before infinity war even happend so...
RIGHT!? I've been thinking this for the entire series. Even the color schemes are on point. Red/gold vs. Green/silver. Loki looks like Snape, for god's sake.
6:19 I have never felt so bad for a movie character. I feel so bad for Loki, all he wanted at that point was to feel like he was actually loved. Like he was more than a stolen relic. He never says it himself, but at that point all he wanted was to feel like a true son of Odin, like he had once felt. He just wanted to be just as important, loved, and cared for as Thor. In my eyes, he was never truly a villain. He may have wronged others, but he himself had been wronged as well. I’m only glad that he died a hero’s death, and finally felt his fathers love. (Well, his present self at least)
Agree with what your saying but after seeing how Hela was in Thor Ragnarok and seeing why Odin had banished her. I see Loki acted similar in the first Thor film he tried making Odin proud by conquering the other realms (starting with the frost giants) like Hela wanted too it reminded him of Hela but Odin was past all that and wanted peace. However if Odin told Thor and especially Loki of Hela and why she was banished I don’t think Loki would have took that route but with the MCU being so big and having multiple timelines Loki potentially will always try doing right in his own way that will always disappoint others. The MCU are doing so well with what they are doing
@@Junior-um2cz I have seen both and actually in Infinity War he dies but in endgame he stole Tesseract and he's in other realm where his series gonna be
Loki Laufeyson I know but that’s another timeline where he hasn’t developed his character yet because that was in the battle of New York.I am talking about the Loki that had a developed character.
Loki's character was perfect I hate that they didn't make him as powerful as in the comic but he still was a master mind his IQ is really high and he always outsmarted everyone
Freya was a great mom though, she taught Loki sorcery, and was perhaps Loki loved her the most. Freya then counselled Thor in Endgame and thus enabling him to regain his sense of worth, accepting who he is, and who he isn't. Despite these brothers being so seemingly different, had a great connection with her
I don’t think he’s actually dead I mean cmon..it’s Loki so it could’ve maybe not been him? He is the god of mischief after all. Also he’s getting his own show soon which is exciting so maybe he is alive
16:54 It was so easy for him to say that Odin is not his father but it took him time to say that Frigga is not his mother❤. Thor was Odin's favourite and Loki was Frigga's favourite❤💯. All Loki needed was just a hug and his mother's love. He was finally worthy😂Loki Odinson
Did anyone else not really process the fact that loki was dead until in infinity war when they watched it the first time? Like, he had so many fakeouts, i assumed that he would still be alive, and it wasn't until a while after the movie that i realized he was really dead. but he is back in a way with the loki show
I laughed a little when you said ‘young’ because he is 1,070 years old. Your point still stands though, age is different in Asgard and everything by they live for 5,000 years
Loki was the reason i joined this fandom. I accidentally watched Thor: the dark world and i was absolutely charmed and watched the rest of the movies 😂
Man, the guy went through a complete character arc. bad to good, from good to bad and good again. Near the end he finally received the love and recognition he deserved, and then thanos came and promptly crushed his windpipe.😫😤 Hope the new tv show on disney plus better do his character justice. I will pray that my slimey, superficial, snek-boy gets his happy ending. He deserves it. Anyway, thanks for coming to my Tedtalk.
