Luke's life: An edgy jedi knight got horny and fucked a politician...He then got edgy and basically divorced a dying woman...then the son got triggered and made his dad watch star trek
Jeeze dude between Star Wars, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and Avatar I’ve learned so much lore that i didn’t know between the movies, tv shows & books can you just get a million subscribers already you seriously deserve it!
harry potter lore? Is this meant to be more of that gay dumbledore shit or have i just not seen the hidden harry potter lore that isn't in the books...
It doesn't help that you need to read books, comics, etc to actually understand the Sequel Trilogy. Plus, all those were created retroactively created to fill in the many holes, inconstancies, and flat-out nonsensical things that happened in the movies, so you would need to see the movies first, become confused, and then wait for new books to explain everything to you. Those movies cannot stand on their own and that's a huge problem. They failed and the books needed to cover their tracks. But it's still ultimately a failure on the film because most people do not read the books and shouldn't be required to do extra reason in order to understand a movie. The sequels, especially Last Jedi, were just colossal failures on almost every level.
@@Obi-Wan_Kenobi also i do agree with the original trilogy they do a great job with for first time veiwers in 1977 and now can star of watching it and not need any other context
Boy, I have to praise you for making these videos. First, they are so good to understand, even for me as a German, whose English is not the best. Thank you, you're helping me to improve my English skills :D Second, your videos catch me every time. I've watched most of your videos of the Harry Potter universe and almost every one of them made me cry. You're doing a great job. This has to be said. You and your videos are great, I like them a lot. Thank, keep going. (sorry if there are any mistakes, feel free to help me improve my English further ;)
Princess Smiley Face “But it was just a fleeting thought, and all o was left with was a scared boy looking at a master who failed him.” That’s the part that people usually forget.
@@ihatecorpsehusband7147 How is sneaking into someones room holding a weapon then enabling that weapon to be used lethally (basically the same as someone cocking a gun and aiming it at you point blank) a fleeting thought? At least a 3 thought process to get you to that point, not to mention that it was his nephew and student.
Eugene Lau this is a funny thought, but they actually took care of Luke, and did that, because they feared he would turn out like Anakin. Vernon and Petunia were just assholes.
One thing I love about Luke’s journey is his character arc. In a new hope, he’s like a young boy who yearns to truly see all that he lives with. In Empire strikes back, he’s like a teenager, who makes rash and impulsive decisions, but clearly needs to learn more. Then, in return of the Jedi, he is like a fully grown man, who is much smarter and wiser, and is finally able to defeat his internal conflicts, which in his case was his lean towards the dark side
Except Luke dueling Vader before Episode 5... the whole point of that final duel was Luke having the strength and bravery to confront Vader for the first time... hence the cave vision. it doesn’t make sense now.
It's in the Jedi code to not become too emotionally attached to anybody, sure, many Jedi broke this rule, even Luke's own father, for example, but it was nevertheless an essential Jedi rule to stay single.
Broke my heart seeing Luke going from a happy optimistic person to a depressed hermit dude that tried to kill his nephew for having some scary dreams cough cough disney
I listen to these videos while doing homework or writing. It helps my concentration so much; thank you for putting in so much work to this detailed and amazing RU-vid channel.
I never really comment on videos but this dude is amazing. In the start I only saw his harry potter videos but now I what all his video basically. The way he tells the story is so engaging and dude your voice is so nice to listen to. Like you got the perfect story telling voice haha. Ps your dog is like the cutest ever!!:))
There is no character more important to Star Wars than Luke Skywalker. It's his hero's journey that introduced us to this universe, and it's his father's failure to complete his hero's journey that put it all in context.
I think anakin is the most important, because anakin brought balance to the force, anakins fall brought balance to the force and without him being a sith there wouldn't be the original trilogy and the sequels
I still enjoy Luke's journey in the new canon. I think Rian Johnson could've handled his arc in TLJ with more care but ultimately it was way more interesting than Luke just training Rey with no question.
Except that only increases the problem with Rey. Before it was revealed she was a Palpatine, Rey is just powerful for no reason. She doesn't need training because she already had the power she needed. It's no wonder people call her a Mary Sue. This could have been avoided if Luke trained her.
@@xamhehehe7888 Being powerful and being trained are not the same thing tho, you can be extremely naturally talented at something but still need training to improve your skill. Strength doesn't equal skill
@@xamhehehe7888 Also I'm not saying Luke shouldn't have trained her whatsoever. I said that I liked Luke's reluctance to train her, obviously she needs to be trained.
Most of anakins story is in the movies though. I think it would be much more interesting to see one a a less prominent character such as grevious (which is actually very interesting from what I know)
The Life Of Luke Skywalker yes... Entire Timeline Explained Yes! 28 Minutes YES! MovieFlame YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this. Some time in the future could you do some "Life of" videos for Legends characters. There are some amazing characters in that continuity such as Ulic Qel Droma and Mara Jade
Considering the fact that I said it right...yes www.google.com/amp/s/dorksideoftheforce.com/2016/07/05/nerdist-proves-star-wars-at-at-is-pronounced-at-at/amp/
Excellent review. Recently I was reading an article about the difficulties Michael Arndt had writing episode 7. How he can introduce Luke without shadowing the new characters. When I was reading, the original plot spoke about Han/Leia and Luke children. Apparently, George had planned to introduce the grandchildren of Anakin. Then I remember George ask JJ Abrams about Anakin's grandchildren in a video about random questions ask to Abrams. In your review, Luke had lost years when he disconnected from the Force. Rey hide the two lightsabers of the Skywalker twins in the sand. What if Luke never knew he had kids? There are a lot of questions without answers concerning Luke's backstory. For example: why Lor San Tekka had the map? What does Maz Kanata know about the lightsaber she was hiding? It will be an interesting plot twist if Luke had any offspring or a wife and he thought they or she were kill in the Jed Temple attack. That's why Rey built her own lightsaber saber. Because there are more Skywalkers in the galaxy.
That was the emperors clone that sidious established so that he could make the sith return by attempting to turn his granddaughter to the dark side so sidious did indeed die in the second death star and the chosen one Anakin Skywalker's sacrifice was never in vain because he brought balance to the force and destroyed the sith to their extinction
