🤔Meh more or less for me. He still got what he deserved he could of just became rouge or something🤷🏾♂️. . .😠but No. 😒He just had to "Join the DARk SiiiiiiiDe".
And luke killed Vader technically so he was the leader than the force somewhat killed lukes PHISICAL body so it's the leader but the force is connected to all living things so everyone is the leader of mandalor
@@somecanadian3665 well, I thought that Palpatine's Force Lightning was the primary factor (he tells Luke he's dying, and nothing can stop that) With Palpatine coming back in the new one There are arguments for both Luke and Palpatine killing him
Half of the mandalorians joined Maul after he successfully took them over. I believe because of the events of order 66 the remaining of the other half then joined the sith and the people that didn’t want too were killed.
When I was watching Rebels and saw Maul die I shed a tear. The last thing he said to Kenobi was great and the fact that Kenobi closed Maul's eyes grieving over his death. Maul didn't die for nothing as his greatest wish was accomplished by Luke as he destroyed the Sith. Darth Maul could rest in peace.
Unknown Gamer Nah you wrong Pale 981 is right Maul meant him and Kenobi, they were in shit holes and lived both terrible lives when Palpatine entered in and did something drastic to them that caused them to be there in the first place and plus Maul hated Palpatine a lot and he wasn’t even loyal to him anymore and I don’t even think he wanted to really be a sith, He was just fueled by hatred for Kenobi and really the video said it right there.
finally someone who conisders darth maul as important as other characters...... after all not many can defeat great qui gon in battle of sabers.... thank you morgan, thank you
Darth maul is that villian character you want to see more of and see win for good story. Has a great atmosphere, great aesthetic look. Yet it sucks that they did him wrong in the prequels. No backstory, no personality nothing.
@@lazykahn1979 lol that's all I know him from and like did they even watch the but vid. Still sad to see such a prominent character be wasted. Could've made a great villian with great motives.
This video summed up: He got cut in half, but he survived, he was betrayed, but he survived, Darth Sidious tried to kill him, but he survived, he got defeated multiple times, but he freaking survived! WHATS HE MADE OF THIS GUY?!
Darth maul lowkey has quite the legendary life. Dude conquered and survived so much craziness and still found peace in his final moments. Also great video! Keep the good work up
That last battle between Obi Wan And Darth Maul May not have been the most exciting or flashy but it was really great confrontation story wise Obi Wan at first didn’t want to fight Maul, and only did so because he had to protect Luke. And we also see Obi Wan change his stance to Qui Gon stance. And Maul tries to use the same technique he used to kill Qui Gon. But Obi Wan is ready for it and wants to end the fight quickly not wanting Maul to suffer anymore as a tortured animal. And what does Obi Wan do to the person who killed his Master and his Love? He closes his eyes finally ending the fight that started 30 years ago.
It was Kenobi sort of verifying himself as the best example of what a Jedi should strive to be, Maul took so much away from him and was going to do the same to Luke and even after his death Obi Wan payed his respects towards him. Truly one with the force.
I'm not sure if it's Qui-Gon's stance or his more defensive stance from Ep. 4. I've heard it both ways but showing him going from his aggressive Clone Wars/Ep. 3 stance to his Ep. 4 defensive stance really shows how much he's changed as a character since RotS.
SwagGuy 99 the 1st stand obi showed was his normal defensive stance and when he sees maul switch to a defensive stance himself he switches to qui gon’s stance as a bait to mauls arrogance and maul fell for the bait
I felt sad for my buddy Maul. The fight was short as hell but, for what it was trying to say it didn't need to be any longer then that. It was perfect.
I still love the balls they had to put Maul in Solo, just makes all of this feel more grounded to the films and the canon. This character has one of the greatest arcs.
The Maul and Ben Kenobi fight was one of the best fights in the whole series. No big flips or long fighting, just sizing each other up, feinting their stances, and then final blow. The battle was over mentally before they even clashed blades
@@sarveshnathan7559 I would argue Maul had it worse. At the very least Anakin knew what it was like to love, trust, and be redeemed. Even if it was on his death bed. He died knowing his son gave him salvation. And that his family would live on. Maul had no such luxuries. His death was one last plea to be avenged after everything that had been taken from him. Following his hatred to the bitter end because it was the only path he knew. His entire life was built on abuse and lies. Cling to that one last shred of misguided purpose when he knew he had none. Maul's story is one of the saddest, if not _the_ saddest tale in Star Wars.
@@sarveshnathan7559 Which is why I said he followed his hatred to the bitter end because it was the only path he knew. Changing requires a lot of willpower. And often, a reason. And considering his whole life was built on the fire and brimstone foundation of hatred, anger, and vengeance. After being cut in half and left for dead and and top of that living in madness for over a decade, we all knew he wasn't going to change. All of the circumstances more or less just solified his stubborness.
Man, I really miss Maul. I always thought it was so cool that they brought him back and what was originally just a character that looked cool became a tragedy story, and maybe one of the more sadder stories of the Star Wars universe.
One thing I love about Darth Maul’s death is that Maul tried to kill obi wan the same way he did with Qui gon. By hitting him in the head with the handle and it’s like obi wan is ready for it.
It’s actually amazing seeing him growing from a child to a Sith lord that had a whole fleet behind him and conquering the Mandalorians, forming an Army to make Dooku and Grievous fall, and finally dying in his Nemesis’ Arms
Back in September of last year, I did a comparison between Harry Potter and Star Wars characters. When it came to Maul, I compared him to Fenrir Greyback. Both happen to be extreme dangerous but also downright disturbing with ruining many people’s lives. For Maul, it was when he killed Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn leading Obi-Wan Kennobi to avenge his fallen Jedi master’s death by killing Maul (or so he thought). And for Greyback, it was bitting a very young Remus Lupin and turning him into a werewolf. I should also mention that they are also pretty savage in their ways.
Star Wars has a unhealthy addiction to having limbs and body parts getting cut or shot off, for Maul it was getting sliced in half by Obi Wan, and then having one of his legs shot off, and then, well he didn't get cut in half, but in his final duel with his long time foe, Obi Wan did cut his lightsaber in half when he also strikes Maul chest.
Maul has such a detailed character development. He is neither a hero nor a villain, he hates both the jedi and the sith. He has his own way with things and he is the one who predicted Anakin's fall to the dark side.
2:19. This is a perfect example of how confused the average being was regarding the Force, Jedi and Sith Factions. They didn't know which faction was which and how to identify them. When they saw a lightsaber, they always assumed it belonged to a Jedi. In fact some beings in the Outer Rim and Unknown regions believed the Jedi to be a myth, along with the Jedi Order. The Sith preferred this as they could frame the Jedi simultaneously to committing their viceful acts.
I think Darth Maul is one of my favorite Sith Lords... I find it interesting that there is not much known about him. For some reason he’s just interesting and that’s why he’s one of my favorites
Well, only Lucas could assemble a cast of actors and actresses for Phantom Menace like Liam Neeson, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Samual L. Jackson and Ian McDiarmid, give them shitty dialogue and very little to do. Such a disappointment.
i don't get it why people hit the dislike button on Movieflame videos?? There so interesting and give you better view of the story Morgan is telling about. Keep on the good work Morgan Ross !!
Maul is great in terms of strategy and power. I mean when he faces Palpatine, he actually shows that he is the better dualist. He loses due to Palpatines control of the force. He fails because it isn't his story. Really a shame.
In the original plan script (before Disney), Maul knew that by dueling Obiwan, he would die. But to Maul, it seemed a fitting end for himself, as he found the guilt of the death of his brother, and haunting by Sidious simply too overbearing. The spot that he met Obiwan was supposedly not too far from where he first dueled with Quigon Jin for the first time in Episode 1. He was also injured from the fight against the Inquisitor, and had more wrinkles and scars of ages, and knew even though Obiwan is now old and frail, he wouldn't be able to overpower his former adversary. But he refused to die any other way, but be brought down by the life-long adversary. He knew that his end was to be at Tatooine, ironically, in the Star Wars Universe, where it all begain, yet agian
