My mom grew up the same way, 7 girls between two beds and 4 boys in another and yes, 13 people one bathroom. They were poor, but good loving people, in fact my dad loved being at my mother's house, with all those people, verses his small family of 6.

I heard NWA on a cassette tape before they was even out. I had a cousin that brought it with him from L.A. it was wild hearing all the cuss words and talking about grown shit while barely being in my teens.

Glad he went thru drama and came safely out the other side. And am glad that he was included in these later N.W.A. projects. These guys grew up together from young men into famous men in the music industry. They had their issues but it seems Yella kept it as friendly as possible not splitting himself from one to another.. most props for that.. I still see tho that young rappers still do not know how to manage their money. They have to buy the biggest jewelry, the most cars, house so big they can't maintain them. Then after they blow thru millions and are living from concert to concert and day to day, they still can not except that to be famous and have talent are two different things. Having talent is a blessing that is a gift, and being famous is just a part of what comes from your gift. The other parts are you being smart enough to learn that money comes and goes, but your talent stays with you if you pace yourself and settle for what makes you really happy and comfortable within your means..when young folks makes it in the industry but have never had the kinds of money they now make, the record companies or their managers should hook them up with advisor and people who can show them how to prevent pitfalls of over spending and having to work from deal to deal to keep afloat.. I applaud Yella for still standing in a tought business.. and hope he is happy...

My dad's best friend used to DJ at one of the clubs Dre and Yella DJd at. He said those two were practically joined at the hip. You just didn't see one without the other

It's funny to hear her say a million copies in the first year . To think that back then that was a monumental accomplishment in the hip-hop /rap game . Just further proves what N.W.A. did for the entire industry .

It's definitely great to see how his life has become more peaceful and fulfilled in Christ! Hoping the best for him. God is the light of the world, money couldn't do that for him.

'03 was the year that I listened to a full length NWA tape. Yes, an actual tape. I already knew who Ice Cube was. But that tape introduced me to Ren, Dre and the man behind that unique high pitched voice...Eazy E. I always thought Eazy was the youngest member of the group, I later learned that he was the oldest and the most gangsta. I remember the first time I heard "Fat Girls (On My Jock)" lmao. Those wear the days.
