"Somewhere in there, in the dark shadow of the Cult of Big, behind the mountain of obsessive growth, there is a lovely little place called the Life-Sized City. In the Life-Sized City, things are different." - Urban designer Mikael Colville-Andersen takes us on a journey back to the future. A future that can be rational, with cities that can be better than they have been for 70 years. It all starts with The Life-Sized City and rejecting the Cult of Big.
Mikael Colville-Andersen is a Danish-Canadian urban mobility expert and one of the leading voices in global urbanism. He consults cities & governments and also applies his marketing expertise on communication campaigns promoting bicycles as transport.
Mikael coined the phrase „Copenhagenize“, which now stands for the concept in urban planning and design with the purpose of encouraging cycling.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

"Design our cities around the Lulu" love this idea!! If we design our cities around the smallest and most vulnerable we all benefit ❤️
