This is my first video in over a year and the rustiness shows, but bear with me! I am planning on being back posting regularly moving forwards, but the last year was a bit difficult business-wise and I quite simply didn't have the time, frame of mind, or headspace to make and post videos.
I've made some major life changes over the last year and am now, finally at a good place where I feel ready to get back into making and posting regular videos again. Re-learning the camera gear, editing software, RU-vid Studio, Tube Buddy etc. has been interesting - it's amazing how quickly you forget things if you don't use them regularly, but I'm getting there!

Sorry to hear about said unusual year man, and from the headspace part, I certainly get that!! Ah I'm really sorry to hear about your business too man, glad you're out of it and looking forward though! Also happy being 50 and jumping g headfirst off a bridge :D It's actually very rare I've unsubbed from people.

One of our favourite areas to ride. Difficult getting the work-life balance right, but riding always makes things feel better. Our last ride out ended like yours. Carol's hands were stained a nice shade of blue from her quality Furygan summer gloves!

Ha, ha, I had a pair of gloves that did that to my hands once. I'd ridden through about three hours of torrential rain and I was freezing, when I took the gloves off I thought my hands had turned blue from the cold - it looked all veiny, I was quite worried for while... then once my hands had warmed up and I realised it washed off I felt a bit better!🤣🤣🤣

I’m envious and proud of you having the courage to do something about your unhappiness with your job. I’m around your age and feel the same way. A bit trapped. Currently having some health issues and feel after over 20 years service that I’m only a number, feel daft for expecting more. Glad you sorted it😊

@@thomasbell9026 Yep, sounds very similar to me, the way I was heading health-wise wasn't good and some things needed to change, hence where I am at now, which in some ways is great - the stress is gone - but in others is a bit weird, as I'm starting again at 50 yrs old. Part of me is terrified and another part really excited and up for the challenge! I saw a quote that really got me thinking which was, 'if you don't change anything then everything stays the same'. So I changed stuff. As you say, let's see where it leads!

Give the screen spacer a try from Iconic Parts. I have a 1260 S and it made a massive difference. I was worried it would spoil the looks of the bike but you get used to it after a while

Funny, I just came across your stickers the other day and thought, I wonder how Mr Bolts getting on. I wonder if he's still got his electric bike. I take it this was last Sunday. Set off great and then just pissed it down. I think a lot of folks are keeping their bikes now. Bikes are too expensive now. I keeping mine and it's got 27k miles on it now. Still goes great.

Yep. I looked into the costs of chopping mine in for a Multi V4 and basically I would have to have given them my bike and then paid them more than I actually paid for my 950s brand new on top! Fecking ludicrous. Luckily I have barely anything bad to say about this bike so I'm perfectly happy to just run it. Still got the electric bike, but I fear that I may be forced to move that on at some point in the future for financial reasons, but we'll see how things go. I'd like to keep it.

I made a similar comment to your rain comment a few weeks ago about all I had to do is not crash the bike to get a speed record at Bonneville. Yep I bent the bike and myself a few minutes later.

Oh man, good to hear from you, I haven't seen any of your videos coming into my feed, so I hadn't seen that you'd crashed! I watched a couple of them today, I'm glad you are on the mend, could have been a lot worse - lucky you weren't nearer the 200mph target! What injuries did you have? I saw that you were in a hospital bed, so I'm guessing more than a bit of gravel rash.

@@TheBoltHoleBiker Probably the overall time will be 12 weeks. I'm just getting where I can almost pull a clutch in but I can only bend left arm a little less than 45 degrees.

Did wonder what had happened to you. Anyhow you come across well on your channel I personally think you could be successful but I think you might have to review some new bikes to get your numbers up 👍
