the LIGHTFALL main theme is awesome 

discipline is arguably the best and most BEAUTIFUL ost in destiny 2, right next to journey and athanasia

Wanted to leave some fun info about the motifs and sections from this track. :) 2:16 begins The Witness's theme first heard at the end of Witch Queen. Obviously The Witness has a large presence in this expansion and is our main antagonist besides Calus. At 3:29 the main pyramid/darkness theme starts but instead of finishing the phrase as normal it goes into Cabal Stomp. This symbolizes the Shadow Legion which are the main enemy faction we face this expansion. 4:02 is The Subjugated theme first heard in the Vow of the Disciple raid. This is the theme of the Tormentors in Lightfall which are of a subjugated species just like Rhulk. 4:48 begins the more hopeful parts of the track. The motif here in specific is known as the "Resilience" motif by the Bungie music team. It's meant to symbolize how resilient the people of Neomuna are during the conflict on Neptune. 6:06 begins the "Discipline" theme. As Marco said it's about our Guardian pushing themselves forward to learn Strand, the new mysterious darkness power we discover. And finally 7:30 is the "Strength" theme which is essentially the main theme of Lightfall. Our Guardian must use their strength to fight this new threat. 8:51 and most of the rest is to give the feel of Neptune and Neomuna.

When I first heard the opening theme of Lightfall and the last soprano hit, legit makes me ascend because how ethereal it is.

Although I don’t do it as much as the witch queens theme it really does convey the theme for lightfall from mystery, danger,wonder and hope. That’s what I like about music can you give you themes without a single word.

😂 "the happy tower before all the bad shit happened" Ya know, you're right. I never think of it like that but that tower now is full of bad memories. We've lost 2 key figures, all 3 faction leaders. I'm a hardcore veteran player and now you have me thinking of the 2 towers as happy tower and sad tower. THANKS 😂😢 Also, Skye and Salvatori sure know how to use that brass section. Also, game itself has never been better. Story was...not great. But game itself? It's popping off now.

I'd love to listen to the track Tenebrium in the lightfall soundtrack. I don't know why but it makes me so relaxed and it's so beautiful somehow

The first part of Ahhhh~ just reminds me of Warframe.

Something I think is worth noting is that the melody heard at 2:17 seems to be specifically the Witness' theme. Other notable places you can hear it ate the start of the WQ track titles "the Witness", the end of Distant Sky ( also known as Final Dawn), and a unique choral version of it plays in the opening cutscene when the Witness cuts up the guardian ships. The synthy 3 note low/high/low pattern heard frequently across the soundtrack (Notably when we first say the Pyramids, also faintly in the background at 3:29 here) and the 4 note sequence that it usually continues as is the overall Darkness theme, with those synths being used to represent the Darkness in general. Sorry to butt in, I'm just a nerd who's slightly obsessed with leitmotifs, and Destiny is absolutely full of them.

I highly, highly advise you give “Discipline” a listen from the lightfall OST. It’s so beautiful.

As you may or may not remember, some time ago I mention to you that I'm brand new to the destiny franchise never having played destiny one and only having picked up destiny 2 a couple days before lightfall was released. Since then, and as of me writing this comment I have put 445 hours into it. The music I could not describe better than you have and it's amazing. I want to thank you for something very specific but it's a long read. So I'll drop it down below this sentence and if you read it great, and if not, I understand. You have changed for me in music the same thing many years ago the RU-vid channel Cinemawins/ Sins has done for me but in movies. I often struggle putting the emotions I experienced from movies into articulated words. I would never really catch on to movie tropes and I would simply enjoy the film for what it was and I formulated an opinion on a very basic data. The very basic things, were there explosions, did the movie have an actor I liked etc etc Then I came across a RU-vid channel that was all about movie tropes and essentially educating the public on the various methods directors and producers used to draw in their audience and it forever changed the way I watch movies, having further increased my movie-going experience beyond I could have ever done on my own. Now we get to your channel. I have mentioned to you before about how i primarily listen to music without lyrics because I find myself only listening to the words. On the flip side, but for that same reason I have never been able to get into reading books because I am quite literally just reading the words one after another. I am unable to be absorbed into the story the author wishes me to enter and therefore I listen to audibles instead. I have a disconnect in both movies and music never quite being able to express why music made me feel the way I did.... Then you came along. The very first video that RU-vid recommended me of yours was the Warframe " this is who you are" video and simply put, it brought me to tears. Emotions I was never able to express were spoken to me by a lovely bearded man and suddenly everything made sense. I was hooked. I immediately subscribe to your channel looking for any other common denominators between you and I in the things we have played and enjoyed. I forgot to mention that I've always listened to a large variety of music/ song/ sounds going from anything from Gregorian Chants, hymns all the way to the other end of heavy metal and it's various incantations trying to find out what activated my soul. Yet even still not understanding why it made me feel the way I did. You have helped me so tremendously in my journey and understanding in the connection between my emotions and music and how I in general am so affected by music I sincerely thank you.
