Actually if you go onto rick riordan's website, he states that he sold the rights to the movie, and refuses to watch them because he has a personal belief to never watch the movie adaption of his books.
I'm on the 3rd book now ( the Titans curse) but my favorite quote from this book is after the toilet scene when Percy says he has become one with the toilets. 😂😂
Hermes: look luke i have to tell you something Luke: what is it? Hermes: *wears darth vaders hat or helmet* Hermes: luke i am your father Sorry i have to xD
I like how Rick Riordan made percy posiedon ' s child because making him a child of Zeus would be way too mainstream and he also made posiedon way cooler
I love that Percy’s fatal flaw is hinted to in this book so well with him not putting things together about Like being the one who will betray him. He’s loyal to a fault and just couldn’t even think that way about someone he sees as a friend. Rick is such an amazing writer.
I read The Hidden Oracle and when Apollo got to the camp I started to cry. I mean, every single one of my old friends all left camp and replaced with new faces. I love meeting new people but I miss the old campers!!! The nostalgia!!!!!!!
The Lightning Thief series and HoO are my fav book series, and in TLT, the scoprion scene was just so powerful, the one scene that kind of starts the rest of the series and I LOOOOVE that scene!
You ask for others opinion on your book talks.... yet I have nothing to say. Everyone of your book talks drive me to tears because you are 100% right about everything and you express my feelings on everything you talk about perfectly! I love the Percy Jackson series. Its my favorite. And it was such a joy to see that you have been introduced to the AWESOMENESS. Thank you for talking about it and I can't wait for your next book talk!
I've watched this video so many times, and every time you read the first page I get goosebumps. every time I read the first page I get goosebumps. it's so good and ohtmgkso
Im laughing so hard at the part when she's like: "I thought his mom was with both of them and in the end we were going to figure out if he was actually Zues' child!"
Ok, so it's 2017. I still haven't read any of the Percy Jackson books besides this one. That being said, I just read The Lightning Thief and I absolutely ADORED it. I read it within the span of 2 days and it was amazing. Absolutely CANNOT wait for the series to unfold.
I first read these books in the 4th grade. I am now a Junior in High School. They have since become my favorite book series of all time and Rick Riordan my favorite author. Watching this vid from 6 years ago makes me sad i was so young and not able to share the series with anyone D: Its a *dam* good series :^P
Are you going to read the Kane Chronicles or Magnus Chase? Both are from the same author as Percy Jackson, and Magnus Chase is apparently about Annabeth's cousin, a Norse demigod.
Oh my gods and goddesses! I could not stop smiling! I read ALL of the books but u, I understood everything u were talking about and I felt so connected!
I am so happy you're finally reading Percy Jackson! I first read it in 5th grade when someone dared me to read it in a day cause I was known to be a big reader. I read all day and then played hookie for the first and only time in my life to finish it the next day. The whole series is fantastic.
I am so glad you reviewed this, I bought them off amazon like a week ago and have just started the first one today. I'm like way more than halfway through and I can't even ugh... oh my god so good
I read the Lightening Thief back in 2013 for school reading and it was really good but I never got around to the second one. I was thinking about it now and needed this to recap but I realized, that because I was a bit confused throughout this video that I think I still need to read it again.
This was an awesome review! It reminds me back when I was 10 years old and started reading the series. I'm 17 now and I can really say that I grew alongside Percy. He was my childhood hero and one of the best things that made my childhood fun. Thanks for reminding of my love for Percy Jackson with this video! I really appreciate it. :D
Ohh Christine...I am sooo happy that you read this book and you are really into the series. But I am going to apologize to you now from the pjo fandom. YOU have been sucked in, and now that you are in the fandom you cannot escape. And this series will play with your emotions and tear your feels forever...
YES YOU FINALLY READ THE SERIES!!! Be amazed when you finish it and if you loved the PJO series, you will literally fall head over heels for The Heroes of Olympus series. So glad you read it and AWESOME FANGIRLING REVIEW:DDDD
Lol I love your narration of the first few pages...XD The narration is really good...Percy is a witty little dude you can't help but love and root for!
Finally! I've waited for like forever for you to review these books. I love Percy! He's like fricking awesome and there's more to his powers. And hate the script in the movies but love the actors. They're making the sea of monster and Annabeth is going to blonde... And wish I could enter the contest but live in fricking Finland!
I didn't grow up reading the books. I only read the first one but I think it was when I heard about the movie. After hearing the news that the show will be coming to Disne+, I immediately bought and read the first book. I loved it. It was so good. The Tunnel of Love scene was everything. Finding out Luke was the one who stole Zeus' lightning bolt becausebecause he wanted to overthrow the gods was actually sad. I'm already on the second book and it's just as good. 😍❤
ive only just finished the first two books of the series, im 20 *now* it took me 3 years for me to finally pick it up! i love the series its good for anyone at any age
OMG this is like my favourite series! Right up there with Harry Potter (notice how PJO and HP are kinda alike?) and Hunger Games! It just gets better & better!
I love the Percy Jackson books. They and Harry Potter were the books that got me into reading and I owe both authors so much. It's one of the best book series I've ever read.
I have a personal connection with this book. It's really what got me into reading(or at least what got me into reading books over 5 pages. Lol) and I really love it.
Yes! FINALLY! XD I actually loved the series...and I was so excited to hear that he came out with a series on Egyptian Mythology! XD His books may be for the younger crowd, but they are good, fun reads and they have memorable characters that you just end up falling in love with!
I'm late to the party! Lol. I just read Lightning Thief yesterday and just finished Sea Of Monsters, I'm off to WHSmith to buy the third and fourth (I have exams so God help me). But the books are awesomeeeeeee!
I frikkin love the Percy Jackson Series. The books are so good. I just love everyhing about them. My favorite character by far is percy he is just so frikkin bad ass!!!!!! Whenever I started one of the books I couldn't put it down!!!
I found the Kane Chronicles hard to get into at first, but the second and third books are totally worth your time. Things really pick up and tons of interesting and quirky characters are introduced.
OMG LOVE THIS SERIES SO FREAKIN MUCH AND the main reason why I like it is because I'm twelve too but I can kinda relate to most of the stud Percy is going through and I just love it all so freakin much and I've read all the books and I'm currently waiting for the Blood of Olympus to come out this freakin fall!!!!!!!
I was VERY mad when the movie came out, the new movie was a Russ as well. These books are so good I read them a while ago, and uncle rick is an awesome author. also I spend all my time on tumblr with my fellow fandom
Hey there Christine! I also came to The Olympians later on... Much later. In fact, I just finished The Lightning Thief last night. But OMG, I completely agree with your review; your comments, 100%! Such an awesome book! You can definitely see that Rick Riordan knows what he is talking about in every aspect. SO COOL!
***** Um no I'm not. I've read it loads of times, and I should know. -.- I finished house of hades in like 3 hours, so lost hero should've taken about 2-3 hours.
