ok i'm so proud i think i got everything: i'll be back next summer you'll see me again i'll be back next summer i'll survive til then i'll be back next summer you'll see me again i'll be back next summer i'll be back next summer i'll be back next summer (bring on the real world) you'll see me again (drive just drive) i'll be back next summer (bring on the real world) i'll survive til then i'll be back next summer (bring on the real world) you'll see me again i'll be back next summer i'll be back next summer (normal is a myth) i'll be back next summer (bring on the real world)(you never listen but now) you'll see me again (drive just drive)(you're gonna listen) i'll be back next summer (bring on any challenge)(you never listen but now) i'll survive til then (you're gonna listen oh) i'll be back next summer (bring on the real world)(you listen but now) you'll see me again (you're gonna listen) i'll be back next summer i'll be back next summer
Megan Curry - There's also another layer. If you listen super closely, you can hear Sally singing "Normal is a myth." I believe she continues with more from Strong, but I struggle to make it out. Thanks for the list. I didn't even realize the last one was in there!
"Don't feel bad 'cause we're usually about to die" OMGs I love this, this is one of my favorite quotes from the books. I FRIKIN' LOVE THIS MUSICAL!!! Wait movies? What movies? Screw the movies. There's a musical
I can picture a Percabeth moment in the beginning. They reach out to each other hand then Grover comes between them and starts acting all dramatic when he sings the line "Are we ever gonna once have it easy?!" Then Percy says "Nope" as to say "Dude we were finally having a moment and you ruined it!"
I love how they put in so many quotes from the books in this song. "Don't feel bad 'cause we're usually about to die" "The sea doesn't like to be restrained" So on so forth.
We'll make them listen to us We'll make them listen We'll make them listen to us We'll make them listen, oh We'll make them listen to us We'll make them listen
And then Titan's Curse And Battle Of The Labyrinth And The Last Olympian And The Lost Hero And Son Of Neptune And Mark Of Athena And House Of Hades And Blood of Olympus And The Hidden Oracle And The Dark Prophecy And The Burning Maze
In the sequel, I can imagine Circe trying to entice Percy like she did with her mirror and he sings a line from “good kid” as he’s falling under her spell. And when Annabeth rejects her makeover, she sings, “I *don’t* want to be remembered like this.” 🎶
i only listened to the musical (ive just finished it now) and even though i don't really know everything that happens (since the songs leave out the actual dialogue and fights that happen) im crying because for some reason this song brings out my emotions
same, the tree on the hill just punches me hard in the feels, and it's always when Grover's singing "a dark wind blew" and when the background music and vocals are there i just cry, i don't even know why, i just do
macky 14 You're so right, especially with the ending and how their voices just blend. It's amazing and probably any singer's dream to take part in something like that.
"We'll make em listen to us, we'll make em listen. We'll make em listen to us, we'll make em listen, ooh! We'll make em listen to us, we'll make em listen-"
What happens when he dies? (but, like before the series ends) Cuz im sure as hell gonna be at the funeral...they'll have to find a place where the universe can congregate though...
sxfhqb sfahxb that’s probably what would happen, alabaster might become more prominent which is good, rise up Hecate brethren (I’m not actually a Hecate camper but magic is cool, and I feel bad bc she lost more children in the war than CHB did total.)
I would really like the 3rd book to get a musical (after the second of course) imagine the song nico could sing after he found out Bianca died I would love that.
That's Rick Riordan for you. He gets u Soo close to a character then yeet they dead(spoiler alert is u didnt read the new trials of Apollo books) And then we have jason dying
TK Critic I agree as this follows the book, so of the do sea of monsters they will also follow the book. As the movies don’t follow the books and no fan, I think would want to watch the movies ( I don’t ). I think the musical is 1000% better than the movie. The musical is also more popular with the fans loving it, then with mortals watching the movie.
Well, I got introduced into the series, VIA the movies, I say it and didn't know what to make head or talks of it, but then I when and bought the first book and read it all the way through and I was greatly angered and annoyed of how much good contain in it, that was either butchered or cut out completely from the book to the movie, just to give the whole 'Relatable Teen Drama', they thought we wanted, but only greatly insults our generation for even thinking that. I agree that the musical is much better then both of the movies, as it gives the fans a show that stays true to the source material of the book, letting us take some time to truly see the story for what it is, and perfectly flesh out the characters, of who their are and what true defines them, while staying true to their book counterparts, and the musical offers great songs and performances, that each have their own sense of identity, which benefits the musical more. Looking back at how so many fans of the book completely and utterly praise is musical for being every we would want, and seeing them continue onward to Sea of Monsters, we can only hope that the people who made is musical pour their passion, heart and soul and amaze us again.
I just cried through this whole soundtrack. This is what I get for loving this story as much as I do. This musical is beautiful and really well written!
I love the ending, cuz it doesn’t make sense which is perfect, since if you want things to make sense, you’re in the wrong universe (last part is from Percy Jackson’s Greek gods)
I have listened to this soundtrack six times all the way through in the last twenty four hours, not including the songs I individually replayed. Send help.
Who wants the lost hero musical and movie but hopefully the movie director makes it like the book cause the book was AMAZING its my fav greek and roman god book the lightning thief is my second fav book and I was so sad when I finished the lightning thief (My brother got me into greek and roman gods again so thank him)
Thank you, Random Stuff’s brother. One thing I’d love to see in that musical is how they’d destroy the mountain and see Hera’s earthy cage sink. Actually, I’d love to see Khione’s fight with Leo’s three pound hammers. So many possibilities for a great musical.
in the part where everyones singing and you cant hear anything, they also sing "we'll make you listen to us, we'll make you listen" which also kind of rips my heart out a bit
I saw this comment and ligit screemed with rage and threw my phone onto my bed and then picked it up again and clicked read more and I was like "ok phew" but seriously as a pjo fan don't do stuff like this to me
concept for an animatic I'm far too lazy to make: PERCY There's gonna be a fight There still might be a war For the moment we've got danger on the run ANNABETH And things will get bad Before they will get better It may feel like an ending but the battle's just begun FRANK Are we ever gonna once have it easy? LEO Nope! JASON Feeling ready PIPER Feeling stoked FRANK Feeling queasy HAZEL We could fail but we have to try PERCY Don't feel bad 'cause we're usually about to die ALL Bring on the monsters Bring on the monsters Bring on the real world Bring on the monsters Bring on the monsters Bring on the real world HEDGE There'll be times when your faith is shaken THALIA They're breaking your heart? Then try to hear it pound CALYPSO Got to know where the real fight lies ANNABETH When it's time to rise And stand your ground LEO We don't have to go it alone PIPER They'll put us in a box but we won't be contained HAZEL You keep hoping You keep your eyes open PERCY 'Cause the sea doesn't like to be restrained ALL No, I'm never gonna once have it easy I'll make mistakes, but my own, and it frees me Summer's over, it's time to begin And if you're looking for trouble then count me in Bring on the monsters Bring on the monsters Bring on the real world Bring on the monsters PERCY Bring on the real world Bring on the real world Bring on the real world The real world And I'll be back next summer You'll see me again I'll be back next summer I'll survive 'til then we'll be back next summer You'll see us again I'll be back next summer we'll be back next summer PERCY+JASON (GROVERS PARTS SUNG BY FRANK/LEO ANNABETHS PARTS SUNG BY ANNABETH/PIPER/HAZEL) I'll be back next summer You'll see me again I'll be back next summer I'll survive 'til then I'll be back next summer You'll see me again I'll be back next summer I'll be back next summer
Here’s a little piece of heartbreak for you. Luke and Silena are singing ‘we’ll make them listen’ in the background-the two traitors of Camp Half-Blood
As a kid who’s about to finish high school and go off into “the real world” (although one could say what is this world I’ve been living in, if not real?) this is oddly comforting
After 15 repetitions I realize the part where everyone is singing over each other they're singing lines from other songs like from Strong, Drive, My Grand Plan and some other song i recognize but dont remember the name
I just realized that Percy didn't necessarily make the wrong choice when he decided to go home, but it wasn't the right one either. There would've been consequences to either option. Imagine having to make a decision that's lose lose and win win all at the same time? Uggghhhhh. I'm not used to using my brain.
Hm. Interesting. I read the books as a kid, so this is hella nostalgic. This is definitely my favorite song from the musical. Overall, I say this musical is like, 2 outta 3, or like, 6 out of ten. In my opinion. I definitely liked this musical though. I'll revisit this musical to listen to it a few more times.
I love they just want to keep going when I first read the books I was nine and I was like all this things happens to them and I'm over here complaining about homework so they made me study harder 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓 I love this song💓💓💓💓💓
Oh man, the musical was honestly amazing but when this song came up all I could think of was "Damn, these are kids ready to die" this song most defiantly is a vibe but it's got a dark undertone, especially in future books.
Someone pointed out in a Tumblr post that Luke and Silena are the ones singing “we’ll make ‘em listen” in the back which is just- this musical is a masterpiece
At 2:18 in the song.. ON SCREAN: I'll be back next summer (bring on the real world) [And so on, you know the part] ME: DRIVE, JUST DRIVE! STAY AHEAD, STAY AHEAD, STAY ALIVE! I mean, come on, guys, just listen carefully!!! In every song in this musical: Is that one girl who hates singing but sings all of the Grover parts.
I forgot why I wrote hello...then I remembered. It was supposed to be "Hello. It's the real world, Gaia. I know I'm early for dinner, but I was told I could come. The main course? YOU! (lol I know gaia doesn't want to eat them)
