Patek Philippe has a long history of releasing limited edition watches to celebrate their various anniversaries such as the Nautilus's 40th and the brand's 175th. Brian and Tim break down the specific pieces to come out from those celebrations such as the Grand Master Chime, World Time, the white gold Nautilus, and much more. They track the historical significance of those watches along with a retrospective of the entire lineups from today's point-of-view.

Tim's expertise - without needing to pause - is phenomonal, as ever.

The 5975P and 5575G are two of my favorite Patek’s in my collection! Thanks guys for helping me acquire the 5575G! Interestingly, do you have insight into why they introduced the 5204P in 2014 with similar design attributes (platinum case, black dial) as the 175th anniversary models while not actually reflecting this model as part of 175th anniversary collection?

In the mid 2010's the Bogan of Brisbane aka archee, moved the needle on pushing Patek into mainstream recognition. His chanel probably created annual demand for 500+ pateks per year back then.

If only you could turn back time! I remember when these watches were released (the ones open to the public). The writing on the Nautilus was a big deal! I wish I had the cash back then but even so I knew that these pieces were special. Patek seems to know how to satisfy its array of customers from the top all the way to its entry level ones. Rolex has their finger on the pulse of the community but so does Patek! Bravo gents. Love watching you two sit down together!

Given the amount of snobbery for quartz, i wonder why they would release a triple jump where the seconds hand mimics the movement of a quartz watch. Beautiful watches featured here. None that i can afford without selling an organ though. Thank you for this feature ❤

Dead beat complications are cool. They were long a symbol of accuracy and some folks still appreciate them. That’s imo the reason.
@ryangochuico

@@jolness1 for those in the know it really is cool and probably difficult to manufacture?🤩
@markhondaturbo
@markhondaturbo Год назад
It's because it's a very difficult complication and they did it 3 times in one movement. I agree, I prefer a smooth second hand, but this piece screams high end horology and is beautiful.
