MY child who is 20 months old now suddenly started to limp 3 days ago with no signs of pain and visible injuries. when visited doctor he examined and ordered hip ultra sound and found no issues. He precribed Neurofen tonic and asked to come back after 4 days for further diagnosis if he still limps. My concern is that i may loose more 4 days with the medications. Can you suggest other alternative tests , guide us pls
Needs to see a pediatric orthopedics for evaluation, because of possibility of toddler's fracture, may not be obvious on X ray and may show the healing line after 2 weeks. Also need to be examined carefully to rule out any blood disorder, may need to have a CBC blood test. Bottom-line needs to be seen by a specialist.
