The Lion King - Australian Cast Filmed by James Terry and Michael Wilson Edited by James Terry Lion King - Australian Cast Regent Theatre - 2015 National Tour
There's a reason why the Lion King is one of the best musicals of all time such an amazing play the artwork the music to dancing is absolutely beautiful and everysingle moment is breathtaking I've only went once and I'll say it was one of the greatest experience's I've had in my life such a special moment
@@theamazingandtalentedblake8296 Honestly I think it's more then just the art it's the love they put into the lion king that makes it so special this is the #1 Musical in the World with over 20 Tony Awards and many other Awards this production is absolutely amazing and you'd be absolutely lucky to see this at least once in your life the atmosphere of this show made it an amazing experience as well highly Recommend
When Simba climbs up the stairs I literally see the Movie Simba! It's just so perfect! And what is it with the Lion King that I always cry watching it? :')
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the amazing voice the guy playing the ram has? He was awesome! Just wish the choir was singing along too. Maybe the mics weren't working that day. Edit: Antelope, sorry 😅
Yes. There is something Wrong here with the editing of mics or the mics werent working. There are suposed to be backing vocals. The High antelope (leadsinger)- there is Sandile Gontsana.
I love the symbolism of Simba literally ascending to the top of Pride Rock... coming into his own and leaving his low point, the Gorge, behind. There is hope. So beautiful.
I would really love to see this in a theatre. 1:25 really does look like the most majestic dab ever, but whoever’s decision it was for Simba and his mother to bow to each other in affectionate reassurance and respect truly took it to a different level for me! You can see the uncertainty in his eyes before he climbs and Nick portrays it perfectly! 🦁🐱
Why do they take out the part where Mufasa says "remember" as Simba climbs to the top of pride rock? I think that's one of the most emotional lines in the story.
This movie and musical is my entire childhood,I am 16 and turning 17 in May,but I never get bored or tired of wacthing this movie or wacthing vidoes of the musical,I saw it before in Singapore and it is amazing and breath taking, just like the movie, and this movie's opening the Circle of Life inspired me to visit Africa in person and see all those beatuifle creatures,I miss Disney movies like the Lion King, cause they put such heart and soul into everything, the characters, the animation, the background but most importantly the music never gets old,I well still be wacthing this movie as an adult for sure.
Why am I so emotional watching this... crying so hard right now, this is so perfect. Thats just unlucky that we can’t hear all the microphones here but the emotion is still here on their faces and this song and omg everythiing ❤️ « remember »
this simba is called nick afoa- he performed in the west end production. i met him once after a show in london in 2017, and let me say he was one of the loveliest people i’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. in my opinion he was one of the best simbas there’s ever been, i really wish i could see him perform again
Not going to argue who's a better Simba, we'll be here all year, lol, but I've seen Nick in London as Simba, and met him too, he's super sweet and nice.
@UC-tQSRYOif480K_REV78puA He was on West End for a couple of years, don't know how long, but I've seen him January 2019 on stage, met him July 2019, then Covid hit, and a few months after he went back home. As for being Simba in Australia, I believe that's a good few years ago, before he ended up in London.
I don't know if it's the same chick who plays Rafiki at the show I saw a couple weeks ago, but she was easily the stand out of the entire cast, and that's saying a lot. Her and Zazu stole the whole thing.
Would it be me stating the obvious if I said that Rafiki and Zazu are amazing in the musical? I totally agree with you, I just wanted to add my two cents :3
Even though I saw this show once in person, watching this video brings tears to my eyes, because out of happiness for Simba to finally claim his rightful place on the throne. The way his friends, Nala and Zazu (sorry to misspell his name) bowed to Simba. Zazu calling Simba “Your highness” made me cry a little bit more harder. As much as there are many shows I would love to see, I don’t mind watching Lion King again.
I just love every video that I find about The Lion King and yes the young man plays the Lion King truly is a king and the music takes my breath away tears of joy come down everytime I hear it thank you for such a beautiful song a such marvelous actors God be with all of you

It gives me chills of a flashback how I enjoyed my childhood because of the "the lion king" and I am so excited for them to come here in manila. ❤️❤️❤️
I saw this musical in Chicago and I've gotta say it was fantastic. Adult Simba and cub Simba were excellent actors. Adult Nala and cub Nala were also excellent actors. A musical I'd highly recommend for people of all ages
Just hoping that someday there will be a filmed version of one of the live performances for people like myself who live in a rural community and will never have the opportunity to see it live…I couldn’t afford it even if it were playing someplace semi-locally. I was so grateful when whomever finally decided to film the original CATS on Broadway (way before the movie version with Rebel Wilson was made….which I think myself and one friend are the only fans…haha). Theatre is wonderful….but there is a whole segment of society that never gets to enjoy it…except for snippets on RU-vid, like this one, for which I am grateful. Thank you for posting.
