Im a 19yo male, and I lost my dad last year. Ive been depressed and distant from everyone. Tonight I just so happened to come across The Lion King. When I saw this scene I couldnt help but cry thinking of him. I closed my eyes, and I felt like he was right there next to me. I havent felt so happy in so long. I miss him. Im so glad that I heard this song. It's like given me new vigor to live in life "You have forgotten who you are, and so you have forgotten me. Remember..." Thank you Hans Zimmer.
"Simba..." "Father?" "Simba, you have forgotten me..." "No! How could I..?" "You have forgotten who you are, and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life." "How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be..." "Remember who you are. You are my son and the one true king. Remember who you are." "No! Please! Don't leave me, father!" "Remember, remember..." "Don't leave me..."
Le Roi Lion n'est pas juste un film, mais des valeurs qui ont berces notre enfance et que nous gardons toujours en nous! It reminds me exactly what I felt 13 years later... the first time I saw it
''Oh yes the past can hurt but the way i see it you can either run from or learn for it *swipes cane** the see now what are you going to do Simba: First i`m going to take your stick Rafiki: No no no not the stick HEY were you going Simba: I`m going back Rafiki: Good go on get out of here that line of music plays at 7:39 is my favorite part
you probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I love any assistance you can give me.
The minute I started listening to this song I couldn't help but think "WHOA! A lot of this music was used for 'Endless Night'!!" and now I'm completely blown away because the play stayed with the movie so closely! I LOVE IT! I LOVE THE LION KING!!!
I love this movie. I've watched it since I was able to see movies. I have a tattoo of Simba(The one Rafiki painted on the tree) with a text that says "Remember who you are". The scene when Mufasa's ghost tells Simba to remember who he are have literally saved my life. I'm 17, and this movie will ALWAYS be in my heart.
You have just made me cry! This is such a great part in the movie. I'm nearly 24 years old now and I still cry every time with this movie. Several times.
The soundtrack for both movies were amazing but I will always say that the first movie was the best, I have always liked lion king from when I was young to now and it has been my favorite animated movie by Disney
lion king and it's music is one of the main reasons that inspired me to be a vet. This movie is a before and after in my life, teaching the meaning of living, how you should stand to face life, and how you must never forget your original self. It's so intense and vast I could associate it with any stage went through. Mufasa is the father I'd like to become and at the same time to have.
That was the first movie I watched in a theatre. Didn`t understand a word and I couldn`t read yet, but I still cried literally 3 weeks later. Now I`m 25 and I still cry when I hear that african song in the beginning, with the giant sun and animals bowing to the Lion King. Beautiful story....
The Lion King soundtracks are the only songs that can continually reduce me to tears, no matter how many times I listen to them. These are Hans Zimmer's greatest works.
it is truly unbelievable how one film, and its soundtrack, has managed to move so many and for so many years! its like magic in our hearts, no matter how many timew i watch or listen i will always cry.
Haha, I love the title! HANS ZIMMER YOU ARE MUFASA'S SON!! I dont even have to see the movie I just hear the music and I remember all the words and story/animation! Amazing how deep is your music SIMBA! ;)
in italian is:"ricordati chi sei,tu sei mio figlio,e l'unico vero re" i think in any language is one of the most beautiful moments of this incredible film...everytime i listen to that i cry...;)
I know what you mean. This movie and this song is very powerful. I remember the first time I saw it after my mother died 3 years ago (I was about your age, I'm 22 now). I cried silently throughout almost all of the movie. But in the end it made me feel good, because I think that even though she's not here to guide, I'll be able to be the person she wanted me to be...
This movie was inspired by a group of Disney writers who went on a trip to East Africa and witnessed the wildlife. They then came up with an idea for a film based off of this trip. If you don't believe me, watch 'The making of The Lion King' Documentary.
In Danish the monkey says: "Look down there" and points to the water. Simba walks down to the water, looks into it and says: "No, that's not my father, that's just my reflection" and the monkey touches the water and says: "Nej, se i dig" which means: "Look INSIDE of you": I think it's so beautiful. It always makes me tear up
Whether we realize it or not, these movies made our childhood and are still a part of us. I mean, how many of you listen to this soundtrack and it's like you became four again?
So this movie and the second were based off of two Shakespeare plays (Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet respectively) So I now want a third one with Midsummer Night's Dream just because I want to see what Disney comes up with. It doesn't even have to be with The Lion King, it can be with real people. I just wanna see Disney do Midsummer!!! (And not with Mickey and Donald... I want something new!!!)
