im such a huge halle bailey fan. no doubt she will deliver. she deserves this so much

People tend to forget that the prince fell in love with Ariel’s voice and only her angelic singing, not once in the movie did the prince love her because of her skin color. So many grown adults are complaining over the skin complexion of Ariel as if the original was ever based around Ariel being white, to those grown adults complaining I do hope you seek some sort of help because y’all got serious issues over a skin tone. Never once herd y’all YT people complain over white actors taking over black actors roles and NEVER herd y’all complain when they gave y’all a brown eyed Cinderella

i was a bit skeptical about this at first as you know the The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite films of all time, one of my favorite animated films of all time, and my favorite Disney movie ever (tied with Finding Nemo) but after seeing this trailer and hearing the music and the visuals, i am all in! contender for the best movie of 2023?!? 👀

The part where Ariel says "I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure" made me tear up. So stunning...so brave.

Like how is this even woke?! Ariel is a fictional character her being white black pink or blue doesn’t take away from the characters story at all. Her story is about the importance of her voice and Halle has done an amazing job to show that.

In my humble opinion,this film surpasses every live action adaption released by Disney.Yes,even the Jungle Book film.

Another race swap 'message' movie from disney. STOP WITH ALL THIS WOKE CRAP. Can you not come up with new original characters; NO you have to take our loved characters and swap them into something ugly. GO WOKE GO BROKE!

Just because the teasers/trailers look great doesn’t mean the movie will be. A lot of the Disney remakes have been hot garbage.

You know, since we are dong this let's get a live action of "The Proud Family' played by white people. Let's get live action "Soul" played by a Mexican, Let's make Kim Possible Black. (OR why not make an entirely new IP that will make everyone happy, and not divide a fan base over messing with the source material that Disney already set in stone years ago.) That's the real problem here. Messing with the cartoon's source material that the massess of that time period supported, and always wanted a live-action as it transitions onto live-action, years, decades later, but was not respectful of the depictions of the character's personality in this case Image, and so dividing a fan base. (Once again, for this example: "The Lovely Mermaid", "The Lonely Mermaid", "The Sombre Mermaid" would have been great as the title, calling this "The Little Mermaid" divided the potential profits it could have made. As the saying goes....go woke, go broke. (What a great new tradition).

I think Emma Watson looks more like Ariel even though she already played as Belle. I’m sure everyone knows what the 1989 Ariel looks like. & for those who deny it are just sensitive because this topic as to do with skin color. But they themselves know it’s true, too. If you don’t see the difference, you’re either blind or color bind. You’re all liberals, snowflakes, & Karen’s. Why? Mine as well call it The Lil Mermaid. Look real close at Ariel from The Little Mermaid (1989). Does she look anything like the woman casting as her? Again: If you don’t see the difference, you’re either blind or color bind. It’s facts. He showed me a picture of Ariel from the 1989 film & he pointed at it & said “this is what she looks like.” He’ll be 7 in November & HE was in shock.
