I like the idea of undead that, unable to die, just continue to change and evolve to the point of becoming a new species. Kinda reminds me of how we see hollows turning into trees in DS3
i know it's the meme area; due to its enemies, but Shrine of Amana is so damn hauntingly beautiful. Also; these creatures are neat, another example of DkS2 enemies strange and interesting.
Shrine of Amana is basically the microcosm of your average DSII experience: Cool concepts, interesting enemy designs, beautiful views, and infuriating gameplay. It'll always shines in memory, but will I be back again if given a chance? Yes, if someone PAY me first.
Я бы сказал, что это исключение. И если в первой части было несколько плохих локаций, то здесь несколько хороших. Кстати, всаднику не хватило даже 2 боссфайта
What's interesting is when you realize that DS2 and Bloodborne were in development at the same time and you can see divergent concepts, enemy types, artwork/assets that either one canceled, or their development/design evolutions diverted.
Yay, everyone´s going for a trip to Majula! I find those little bright-bugs so interesting and the power they seemingly hold too bad we only ever got to see them in one game, they seem to hold a lot of significance in Dark Souls II at least were they were even the ones that summoned the Entrance through which the Bearer of the Curse came to Drangleic
i loved shrine of amana once you kill everything its like the prettiest place in the game :3 makes me think of what ash lake would look like if people lived down there
@@leadfaun I’m speaking most hyperbolically. It more about how the world outside the game feels. Like in DS1 I get the feeling all the weird stuff mostly just in Lordran and the rest of world is just a normal medieval world. In DS2 the world feels more fantastical.
@@MsUndertaker99 never said they weren't...tbh some of the fenito and gyrm stuff was cool but not really used, so ds2 didn't really make the humanoid races into anything amazing either
I have to admit, I only casually know DS2 lore compared to the other games. So when I got here after the Mirror Knight, you know, the top of the castle, then down that huge elevator to here, I was like, "okay, wtf is going on?" And these Lizardmen confused the hell outta me, I don't understand how or why they are here.
The walk cycle looks great but the running animation is kind of jank, this definitely feels like one of the models/enemies that got touched up at the later stages of the game's development. (Might have even been why they put it in water, easier to hide the weirdness of the running animations)
Does someone know what artbook is that shown at 0:30? I've seen DSII concept art pdfs that are not complete and I really wanted a physical copy or a complete artbook of my favourite game of the series, the design variety of dark souls 2 is unmatched i love it.
I don't know if you have already done this. But do you think that you could show the model of the poisoned albinaurics? I have only been able to find 3 and they are in the poison pool near the albinauric village. And I would love to get a good look at them.
I feel that something very bad about *"Dark Souls 2"* is the explanation of the existence of the vast majority of the Enemies, since they are summarized "its origin is a Mystery" or "It is a creation of Aldia's experiments"
