Formally the famous Berners Hotel, The London Edition was revamped in 2013 by Ian Schrager and has become a destination hotel for the rich and famous. King Edward VII and Carl Faberge have been previous guests of this incredible Edwardian Hotel. Thanks for the tour. What a weird mixture. Great public rooms including the amazing restaurant. When he got out of the elevator the corridor looked like Holiday Inn and the bedroom, although larger, not much better even with the wood panelling. Worth visiting just for a meal but so many better options in London if you’re staying overnight.

What a magnificent building, truly sumptuous furnishings, would certainly say this hotel is worth a visit, good location as well. Memory Seekers looks like you have found yet another gem.

Good video and interesting hotel. The lobby area gave a vibe of 5 stars, not sure about the rooms, they seem to be a total contrast in style to the rest of the hotel.

Hi Andy, yeah I hear ya. I guess if it was in keeping it would look so out of date for a hotel room and the wood panelling would have needed to be dark making the rooms dingy. All I can say is the bed and the bedding was the best I have had, hard to express just how luxurious it was.

Too bad you guys were not awarded for the free advertising of the hotel. The London Edition is what we call an ordinary hotel based on a historical building with a few beautifully preserved interiors. The view from the room reflect inadvertently the hotel's lower grade category. I am quite convinced that the common paneled rooms were stripped from their architectural décor which graced the grand hotels of the past. Unfortunately, the hotel is no longer fit for a king. Hope you both enjoyed your stay.
