Hmm I disagree, they redid the rock faces and such (though I thought the same at first)but every tree and slope was there on mine and I was able to go right to it, though it wasn't spawned there on mine lol.

I hate it, places like the plant where it has a lot of resources and nowhere to light a fire, like leaving the hypotenuse, hypothermia, well, I haven't found it yet, if anyone knows tell me. The bunker is RANDOM RANDOM the terrain has not changed. it spawns one out of 8 bunkers in different locations in pleasent valley and mystery lake. one bunker in each location. this is the location of mystery lake AMUNITION TYPE BUNKER. so he was LUCKY not to have the boulder like you would do 7/8. If you wanna get this bunker just restart all the time starting near this place and going there checking. you will probably see ALOOOT of boulders but in the end after maybe 1 hour of real time you will see a fcking op bunker full of amunition.
This is a great example of how not to show people where something is. And special thanks for making sure your screen was too dark to see anything when you're inside! Big brain move there!
Im not to sure what you are complaining about...The game is clearly on a day where its clear skies, his screen brightness is clear and very visible. Just sounds like you went there and it didnt spawn so you're crying about it here.
for those who can't find it...you need to set the options before you start your game. You can select the number of bunkers that you will find. For example, if you set difficult to High you'll never find this bunker.
There is a food bunker over in the logging area , if you pass the trailers ( on your left ) go to the last clearing bear right go up the hill . Up there somewhere I found it once so . Thanks for telling us they spawn once
I would have loved it if you would have shown us on the map. I get lost in every game lol, so just seeing the map to find the ridge would have been helpful. I didn't even know this game had this! I can't wait to find it now (If I don't end up in some other zone in a completely different game LOL).
Thank you! Just found this today. Simple directions to find is to leave camp office and follow the electric line to the railroad tracks. Just left is an opening into the mountains and go up that hill and follow ridge as described. At end of first ridge, the ridge continues to the left. At the end of this ridge is the weapons bunker. Found while playing survivor in hesitant prospect in survivor mode at mystery island.
THIS IS OLD INFO!! After WINTERMUTE release ver 1.01 and later the terrain has changed! Thanks for this video but the game currently, after August 2017, is different.
i think it would have been helpful to... ACTUALLY tell folks HOW to GET to that BUNKER .. especially when the TITLE itself says.,..HOW to get to the bunker !

That didn’t show us anything. We don’t know where you started from and we couldn’t even see inside the bunker when you were down there. Thanks for the help.
is this still in game? Im being honest, Ive literally ran there in over 100 save files to find the gun/ammo bunker, just to run down there and hope its there but every time im left disappointed. :(
There are many types of bunkers but only 1 will spawn in Mystery Lake. If the weapons bunker hatch is not there it means the clothing bunker, food bunker, medical bunker, fire bunker etc. have spawned instead.
Guys, part of The Long Dark is remembering landmarks to make your way through. Landmarks: Train car to the right (it's on the way to the dam) The rock formation he went through from the tracks. The cliff at top. Or just the top. The "mounds" of snow to the left when at the top.
@@1Megagaara maybe. I just started playing a month ago. I heard about the rifle bunker so I watched this video to find it. It took 30 tries but finally found it. Remember, it is 1 out of 8 chances to find it. I almost gave up
@@hiki9911 i also just started and i had the same mind set of you about this video before i started playing survival mode and yes there is no map but you can draw your own map but its still hard to know where you are in survival mode

@@hiki9911 unfortunately i do not know when the other episodes are coming out and pro tip if you go mystery lake for survival for that bunker they changed the location of the bunker area so theres no bunker there id do coastal highway because the gas station there is packed and a good place to make home
Next time when you are pointing out a place of interest so one can get their bearings (your train derailment), maybe pause for a second and show us at the same time you’re looking at it. I don’t know this map at all, so your directions were useless.
Nope. I cannot see anything that you are telling to have a look at in the bunker. I suggest that if you do a video just to show a specific thing… have a light source Maybe you should have stopped the video at the hatch. Video implies visual, which there are none of
Funny how you don't *_actually_* show us where your bunker was in relation to the train tracks or carriage, etc. Because of this, I call BS. Probably a mod or something.
Go through the two rocks at the bottom, climb all the way to the top, look left to see that rock formation that looks like two hills of snow, head towards them, and circle to the left as you follow the rocks, and you should come upon it.
