My wife of 52 years passed away a couple years ago. She made me promise to find a new loving woman to spend the rest of my life with and I agreed. But after 4 different experiences with women today I have come to realize that there is no woman I could let into my life now. They lied to me, cheated on me, stole from me, and worse. If that’s the kind of women in the world today I don’t want any of them. I will remain single and gladly die alone rather than put up with that. I’m a good man and I will never settle for anything less than a good woman.

Thanks for not condemning men who haven't been in relationships or those who haven't been for a long time. There is a lot of shaming and stigma towards us. These days, a lot of men don't want the drama and at times chaotic existence of being in a relationship choosing instead to focus on their own personal development and self-growth.

Yes, there is a ton of virgin shaming out there and it's truly unfortunate. I myself am an almost 40 year old virgin who has never been in a relationship before. This used to bother me to no end, but now I've learned to accept my lonely dungeon for what it is: an opportunity for self improvement. Also, I think the virgin shamers are jealous of the perpetual virgins because the shamers will stick their "cucumber" into anything whereas the perpetual virgins have more control and discipline! Better to have a zero body count with no regrets as opposed to a high body count with nothing but regrets!

I'm 42 and still haven't been in a long term relationship. The longest relationship I've had was 3 months. I've been going to therapy for the past 8 years or so and I'm realizing that my childhood was full of abuse and abandonment. It also didn't help that I moved around for various job opportunities. Dating lately has been extremely challenging and I've been feeling unloved lately. I've been feeling that I'm not good enough to attract someone. In the meantime, I'm going to concentrate on my art, hobbies and career. I'll do my best, and hopefully someone nice will appear in my life again. I know that I'm pretty good looking, talented and hard working. I hope that there will be someone who appreciates me and my qualities.

Stop focusing on them. You are the one that needs the love right now. You owe yourself. Treat yourself to the most love you can possibly give. Hug yourself, go on a holiday, eat the best food. Make 2024 all about you. Read the laws of attraction, exercise, meditate etc etc. Have zero expectations from women - none. And i'm sure with time, you'll find that true happyness and contentedness that you're after.

True story, as a teenager I suffered violent, nasty public sexual abuse for several years at the hands of a gang of girls. This left me severely genophobic. I had lots of female friends, but could not consider anything closer, since I thought if I so much as touched a woman I'd be an abuser. Though I'm a big guy with muscles, I hated being male, I was jealous of women, since women never had to make the first move, and even before the idiocy of "me too", it was far too easy to absorb the idea that "male", just meant oafishness and bravado. I cannot explain how it literally, physically hurt! that the closest I'd been to anyone was as unpleasant as it was. Then, in 2014, I started corresponding with a lady on a mailing list books and music. This started with tech support, chatting about books, it turned out she was a classical soprano, I'm a classical tenor. One year, one ridiculously cliched love triangle, and one trans-Atlantic romance later, and in 2016 we were married! Suddenly, married to an extremely loving, gentle, and very distinctly female lady, I realise the point of being male! We're both definitely Christian, and we both firmly believe God was involved in bringing us together! It isn't always easy, we're not sure where we're going, and for someone like me who has trouble with misandry (it was a major part of my abuse), this time period is not great to live in. But just to confirm that yes! what is said in this video actually does prove true! Mad as that might seem!

@@MachineMan-mj4gj But this is not a good argument to waste money buying pointless things for a girl who does not love you. Having more money is just a consequence of a vastly reduced expenditure on a modern woman. It is like you save £10k a year, of which you might spend £5k to lead a higher quality of life like going on more holidays, but you still save £5k more a year. People should not stay single purely so all the money saved that way can go directly into their savings. Rather, part of the money saved this way should be spent on various mitigating measures to try and compensate for lacking a girlfriend or wife. Though in my opinion, this is only a small loss as modern women do not bring all that much to the table.

Oh for crying out loud. If your happiness relies on anyone, then you're stuck in childhood. Only people completely comfortable in solitude should ever join another with the same capacity. Orherwise, you have a dependency. Not a relationship. Being satisfied with your own quality should be enough. The need for more means a reliance on someone else to complete you. Why would you ever place such a massive burden on someone else? Especially if you say you love them. That's not love... that's imprisonment.

There should be no sense of loneliness in solitude because solitude and the sensation of being alone should never be conflated as being equal. One is a state the other emotion. A need to be joined with another for the sense of being complete is called codependency. Just my opinion. You can't possibly be alone in solitude because you are always home anywhere you are in the entire cosmos. If you leave your house upon returning, you say I'm going home. Upon leaving your city and returning, you are still going to your home city. Upon leaving your state and returning, you are still going back to your home state. Upon leaving your country and returning, you are still going to your home country... and then to another continent, or planet, or solar system, or galaxy... you are still returning to your home galaxy... the Milky Way... how ever far you attempt to go you are still always at home. You can't be alone. But you can be in solitude from the interaction of others. Alone is an emotion. Stop experiencing alone and be in the state of solitude instead. Then you have no dependence on anyone, and your home is everyone.

I can do identify the rejection, the dark past of my verbally, mentally and physically abusive childhood youth, life and past the reality of being a loner even at 45 and a half I still struggle with a lot with my past the severe issues that existed I so identify a great video but for me I will learn to survive it and move on like everyone else at the end of the day.

In my case, the longer I go without being in a close romantic relationship, the more alone and discouraged I feel. It's a double whammy because I've NEVER been with anyone for any length of time. While this video states "the longer a man has been without a close relationship, the more... he focuses on self love. Unless you are me and in addition to self love, I try to figure out how to make myself dateable/attractive and how to find someone I would approach. I can appreciate those who want to be single or, are not single and have discovered it was better when they were single. With all due respect, that is not how I feel. All I have known is being single and I'm tired of it. Oh and anyone who wants to comment and tell me it's better to be single than to not be single and wish you were, just save the keystrokes because I've already heard that or a similar version at least 1000 times.

Most here either seek validation for being single or don't want to be from what I can tell. You being sick of being single is understandable but trying to figure out how to make yourself datable/attractive to find someone you can approach is you trying to better yourself but possibly in the wrong way. My advice (which is easy to give but you don't have to take ) is whatever skills or hobbies you are good at, show off, be the best version of what you think you are, hell learn a thing you want to do, im trying to learn rollerskating and i suck right now, but when i get better my next task is to find people/groups which do it around my area. These things are easy to say but even im bricking it, I just hope you can pick yourself up and make things better for you and the only way to do that is to improve and express yourself.

I was married for 12 years,,. And became a dad in 2016 I thought i had it all figured out and had everything what i wanted. But since summer 2023 I’m divorced.. still recovering , Mentally and financially from it,, What I learned? I have not figured life out. And the things i was worrying about before in my life and in my marriage I don’t care for that anymore. Nothing is sure in life. Live from day to day,.. what you have now nomatter what it is you can lose it the next day . There is only you. You only have yourself….
