Regarding Olivia, there is also an interaction between Daan and Olivia where Olivia says she wish she go to a dance. Daan then promises to take her to a dance. Since Pocketcat expresses at one point that his boss told him to not interfere with the festival, he comes up with the loophole of only acting if the contestants ask something of him. When you reach the area Olivia's moonscorched form is, you can see Pocketcat carrying out her wheelchair. You could interpret this as Daan's pocketcat abiding by the promise he made to Olivia.
Now I’m imagining pocketcat having a “friends on the other side” moment with Olivia, offering his hand and helping her out the wheelchair and dancing with her as she begins her moonscorching, after which, he leaves MD be as he takes away her wheelchair Perhaps it happens after PC possesses Daan and Olivia recognizes ‘Daan’ as she tries bargaining to the now technically-dead Daan for the dance he promised her, to which PC obliges and leads to the aforementioned scene
That metal construct on Tanakas moonscorch can also be read as representing an industrial meat grinder. So combined with your idea about what it represents, we can also extrapolate that even though he’s being chewed up and reduced to meaty mulch he still has to hold his head up high and be presentable for the sake of business.
I'm interested that very few people have talked about how some of the moonscorched villager's faces seem to based the paintings of artist Francis Bacon.
@@Omni_World check "Self Portrait of Francis Bacon", "Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion", "Portrait of Isabel Rawsthorne" and "Figure with Meat" ;)
There is another possible reason why pocketcat targets Daan. He dresses similarly and more importantly - if you attack him while he is in human form he still takes the 'pocketcat stance'
I thought that Dan as a victim of abuse in childhood had potential to become abuser himself, this is classic example of the so called Cycle of abuse. Pocketcat is "The pdf" of Fear and Hunger and I know it feels weird to call him that, but I guess he is one of the fan-favourites, so it was good opportunity for narrative to "ressurect" his character. Let me know what you think about it. Sorry for my poor English grammar. Cheers
Gonna be honest I thought Tanaka's moonscorched form looked like a bird in a cage. So I interpreted it as him being stagnant and trapped by his ambiguous future.
I have a suggestion: I love this analysis on what the Moonscorch means but I’d love your analysis on HOW it happens for each contestant, Specifically, if we’re not playing as them, what is the REASON every individual contestant becomes moonscorched! Like for Marcoh Tanaka states it was his guilt that got him and his Moonscorch form can only say Guilty so his is clear, but what broke Caligura? Or Osaa? Some it’s more clear, Abella got attacked by a parasite, Olivia was kidnapped by Pocketcat, but others like Marina we don’t know. I’d like your answer to how they all likely got pushed into their Moonscorch forms
Well, Caligura seems to see himself as the top of the world, but where is Monster ?, at the sewers, so imagine what he felt when he, the top of the top, THE man, better than anybody, when he was forced to crawl through the sewers like a little rat And O'saa, it's his need for control, he knows he's just a puppet of Nas'raha, he doesn't have any control of his life, so Mastermind is just that, he finally has the control, there's no one pulling the strings on him like a puppet, he is the one in control now
While I like the theory that Daan is Pocketcat because of Rher directly, Per'Kele states pretty plainly that Rher hasn't been looking at humans for a while now and that the festival is just one big sham. I don't think Rher played any conscious role in any of the moonscorches, it's just his lingering power left over from before he left.
The Moonscorched remind me a lot of the Distortion Phenomenon from Library of Ruina and its sequel alongside the webnovels. In general I find it pretty neat.
If i Remember well, There is information that Daan's Wife and her Father is probably both Needles and Stiches (You can use Daan unique skill as Daan on their dead Bodys to discover unique Dialogue).
the fact that Tanaka's moonscorched uses a whip , which is one of Needles' weapon , could show how he wants to become stronger than he is , since Needles is one of the main causes of him dying during the game
Thinking about how in some way gender dysphoria and regular dysmorphia are a bit similar. They even sound similar. And both have to do (to put it EXTREMELY simple) with being highly uncomfortable with your own body. I wonder if Samarie developed this condition because she was obsessed with Marina. Since she’s cis she can’t have gender dysphoria so maybe her mind decided that dysmorphia is the second “best” thing. Or! Maybe it was the other way around and Samarie was struggling with dysmorphia and she felt connection to Marina who had gender dysphoria. Again I’m not expert on mental health and I’m not English native speaker. So if some of my words and phrases sound offensive I deeply apologize in advance. Wishing everyone to live in a peaceful, loving environment where they can be themselves ❤
I see what you mean but would she even know about Marinas situation? Based on the fact it was never an issue it seems Marina passes to most and they've never actually talked Samarie just developing a obsession with a woman she doesn't know. I think you're right there's a link between them that way but I don't think she had that in response to marina. I think she always felt that way and the link is more for the audience to see then either of the characters.
I created an OC out of fun/bordem named edward, a 30 year old cop from prehevil coming back after dealing with a case in another city only to unwilling join the festivel. He is born with a "order" soul, he being that is welling to take action and try to reason with everyone and be the leader, When playing as him or talking to him, he can have interesting conversation related to karin and daan and try to find the cause of the sickness. When playing as edward, he will know who caligura right off the bat, being known as a ruthless mobster, can he also be attack by caligura in his sleep for no reason, stating that how he find edward disgusting and how funny he think he can take charge of everyone in a situation like thats, and how he hates cops like edward who get a little too nosy in others peoples business His moonscorch form named "executioner" thats on the mattle of a robbed man with a large sack on his head and spikes sticking out, weilding a large spiked mallet in battle he will referred to himself as "judge, jury, and executioner" which means he had to witness and bear the horrible things that happened in war and how unfair the justice system truly was, and has been forced to keep quiet, and wants to stand up against those who defie the law and will attack the player
I have a theory of my own regarding Marina's moonscorch, It's less metaphorical than what I usually read. When you kill kaiser as O'saa, kaiser will perish but will also melt into what looks like muddy flesh/rot and Nas'hrah will scold O'saa, claiming that what kaiser just used is a blood ritual to avoid his death. Marina's father will always die in the SAME MANNER before her moonscorch. (This is pure speculation from now on) Blood rituals have already appeared in the series, Le'garde himself is revived thru a blood ritual in Da'rce S ending (although It is implied that the ''real'' Le'garde never revived, it was just a shell that looks like him) and the only one we have seen is implied to require a strong bond to be successful. An obviously strong bond would be your literal child, which is esencially a mini you. This blood ritual *may* revive the user into another body that holds strong connection to the original (Marina is his biologically male son which IMO is a very strong connection) Moonscorch is said to reveal the hidden truths in an person (although in a very distorted and gruesome manner) Cocoon might be Father Domek taking over Marinas body from inside of her head thanks to the blood ritual, not in a metaphorical way but as (Like I said) LITERALLY STEALING HER BODY/MIND. This is further reinforced thanks to the Father's last words where he tells her daughter that she should know better than coming to the town. This could be interpreted as Marina already being aware of the blood ritual thanks to the teachings of her father or by studying the occult. TL;DR Marinas moonscorch is her father, not metaphorically but, LITERALLY taking over her mind thanks to the blood ritual activated upon his death
Okay, I already described the analysis once, but as it turned out, I unknowingly missed a lot of details. Time for updated analysis. 1 Marco/Giant. A big brawler, which Marco was before becoming a monster, with many eyes, which may represent what he had to watch and do some shit that he was against. A detail I missed: Marco turns when he stops being useful. Or rather, when almost everything is already done. Reconnaissance of the area, an attempt to find a way out, Olivia's wheelchair, Tanaka's training (if Tanaka is dead, then Marco can be recruited earlier) and now he ends his journey in an attempt to find food in a house that puts pressure on the psyche almost stronger than Rher himself (by the way, Tanaka is also going crazy there)... Why am I saying this? Marco reflects a lot. At the same time, he does not share this with others, he keeps everything to himself. And as soon as he is deprived of something to devote himself to, the Moldy House finishes him off. At the same time, Marco still retains a part of himself, shouting "Guilty!" (apparently about himself) and at the same time is still able to give in to our pleas. 2 O'saa/Mastermind. My analysis of the yellow magician was entirely wrong, so let's start over. What do we know about the yellow magicians and O'saa in particular? Contempt for weakness. How was O'saa different from all his colleagues? He survived the dungeon of Fear and Hunger. And, as we know, this land was “ruled” by the God of the Depths, who was served by the abandoned rabble. Although the Yellow Mages use magic, they refuse to serve the Old Gods, while O'saa says that he despises those homeless who do not try to improve their lives, from which we get just a portrait of the followers of the God of the Depths swarming at the bottom. And which of them did we meet in the largest numbers? Mumblers. Now compare the heads of Mastermind and Mumbler and you will see a noticeable similarity. That is, he turned into those whom he despised. However, there is one small detail... What has changed? He sits like O'saa, uses the same spells (except for the ghostly hands), except he doesn't dance and doesn't warn us about his attack. That is, in essence, O'saa has not changed in his behavior. O'saa simply became "weak". I think that this really was the worst nightmare of a fearless magician. 3 Levi/Weeping Scope. Everyone here already knows everything - having seen the horrors of war, Levi was afraid of becoming a weapon and in the end literally became a crying gun-head. However, there is one more creepy detail. Levi is an orphan who has known war from an early age. And although this has nothing to do with his biography, war is something that always leaves many orphans. At the same time, the Rher Dimension in the orphanage looks like a battlefield, causing Levi to go crazy. Sitting in the orphanage, he, having become a monster, does not touch us, but when we enter this battlefield... He attacks us, again becoming a weapon. 4 Abella/Chaugnar. A the most beautiful of the women shown to us (Marina, Pav, Caligula and Henrik will not let you lie) who does a "job not for women" turns into a monster with masculinity that rivals Marco... Well, you get the idea. And everything seems to be short, but... It seems like she has a Woodsman parasite on her face. Firstly, there is a visual similarity, and secondly, Daan says that it’s as if something is attached to Chaugnar’s face. However, I don't consider this for two reasons: first, he is the only unsaveable character. What I mean by that is... Well, look at the other interactions. Needle's death saves Marina and sometimes Tanaka, Pav's death/rescue saves Marco and sometimes Tanaka, Caligula's death saves Levi and Henrik, but Woodsman's death has no effect on Abella's transformation at all, as if he had nothing to do with it at all. Secondly, she still turns into the same monster with a parasite on her face when interacting with the Tower. 5 Caligula/Monster. For those who haven't played: Caligula is a bastard. This asshole is so rotten in his soul that a monstrous version of him lives in the sewers and is immune to the Rot spell simply because he's already rotting. 6 Henryk/Gentleman. Henrik came to Prehevil seemingly for the sake of gastronomic exploration. He is a professional chef. And he is a real gentleman, helping us both as a man and as a monster. At the same time, he is one of the characters whose transformation we see, namely the very beginning - when we find him, he was already beginning to go crazy due to a strange hunger. However, there is a nuance to it. If you wait too long, he will kill everyone by poisoning the food. At the same time, he is clearly familiar with Caligula, and his list of skills includes mastery of bladed weapons, which he demonstrates to us in battle... In general, it is difficult to judge Henrik at the moment, we know too little about him. 7 Karin/Valkyrie. My previous analysis was incomplete due to ignorance of the dialogue at the lake. In general, Karin, being a military officer, considers himself a strong person who preserves the memory of heroes and villains during the war. She considers herself a "Valkyrie". However, in a dialogue by the lake on the third day, she tells us that many consider military officers to be just vultures trying to profit from the deaths of others. These words hit Karin hard. As a monster, she embodies both of these descriptions at once: she has turned into a flying humanoid, but at the same time she looks more like a bird of prey. At the same time, she carries soldiers on her back, but these soldiers are Belends, that is, just semi-intelligent monsters with spears. 8 Tanaka/Judgement. The previous analysis again, unknowingly, turned out to be incomplete. Tanaka is the most normal of the festival participants. And the most vulnerable and weak. It's hard to save him. What do we know from his lore? It seems that he came here on the orders of his high-ranking (and mutually not very beloved) father. This father thinks he is weak. In Prehevil, he always needs the protection of the player and/or Marco. However, it is developing. First training with Marco... and then becoming a monster. For the most part, Tanaka has retained his sanity and he openly revels in the power given by his transformation. And now the weak guy will punish all his offenders. 9 Samari/Dysmorphia. She is a magician and Marina's classmate. At the same time, she actively used blood magic, which made her body very weak and fragile. She is also in love with Marina to the point of being a yandere and knows her secrets. That is, she, despite the fragility of her body, is at the same time soft (love for Marina, shyness and cowardice) and tough (she will dismember you without a second thought, yandere). She is also fixated on her internal capabilities (insane study of blood magic, in her monster state she constantly screams about her own soul). She eventually turns into a powerful, solid, dismembering monster that literally takes skeletons out of closets. 10 Olivia/Mechanical Dance. One of the three moon-scorched ones who frighten me extremely. Olivia is a botanist in a wheelchair. At this time, her monstrous version is completely metal (the opposite of botany), moves only with wheels (that is, complete paralysis instead of weak legs) and does not control its movements (again, complete paralysis). And yet she still retains her mind in this mechanical cage. This scream, these living, frightened eyes... brrrrr. Another interesting detail: her twin sister, who always outshone Olivia, became a deus ex machina, which also fits interestingly with her monster appearance. 11 Marina/Cocoon. The second monster that scares me. Marina is a reluctant crossdresser. If it weren’t for her mother, she would have become another dark priest, because only guys can become them, whom she was not officially. And all his life this son was forced to be a daughter. Naturally, this brought dissonance and doubt into Marina’s soul. And here is a terrifying picture: a semi-intelligent three-armed (apparently a reference to the Girl) crawling monster with a head between its legs and a giant semi-intelligent dick in place of the head. The human part of Marina is still alive and conscious, but she cannot resist the Cocoon. Losing the head will not kill the monster - you need to destroy the Cocoon. A cruel and harsh interpretation of how much Marina is confused in herself. 12 Daan/Pocketcat. and, finally, the most interesting and perhaps the most frightening. Daan is deeply depressed. He's one of the few characters who knew what kind of crap was in store for him. His wife became a dangerous cultist named Stitches and her father (who deprived Daan of his wife) may have become Needle. Daan’s transformation is unique: the others, going through enormous pain and fear, mutate alive into a monster... But not him. He is literally brainwashed by Pocketcat, saying that he really loves all this and that he is a dirty furry (not a joke, this is literally a line from the game), after which he gives him a jacket and a cat mask. What's so scary about this? First, he is the only one whose monstrous corpse is signed with his real name, as if he is not a monster at all. second, he is the MOST SANE of monsters. Even more normal than a Gentleman. Knowing what the other four Cats did, while being exactly the same normal... This normality is not normal at all. Third, in his ending he still turns into Pocketcat. That is, even far from Rher he becomes a monster. Well, fourth - before him we had already seen four Cats, three of which ate children, and another raped children. I would prefer not to know how Cat Daan will treat the kids… Pav and August do not yet have monstrous versions: Pav dies from his wounds, and August commits suicide in the forest. For now. Since all the characters will be playable, it’s logical that there will be two of them as monsters.
As much as i love your cocoon intepretation and find it to be very logic and coherent, that may be not the case, miro have stated there is no confuse, no reluctant or self degrading from marina side, but resentment towards father domek, the cocoon actually represents she wanting to be a woman freely but at the cost of his father love (since deep down she wanted him to accept him) her body represents how she feel about society push her into a male role, and the cocoon as her father still having influence over her, the reason of not dying even if you kill marine's head is to represent how even after death, her father always manipulates her anf have control over her. But i honestly dont blame you, miro is so insisting on making marina an empowerment, tragic pro trans character despite the fact they basically wrote the most anti-trans narrative around her
@@angelarce9747To be entirely fair both Marina and Bridget, having basically the same backstory, have recently become absolute trans icons by shattering the old anti-trans narrative so that's that.
7:00 marina's body in the cocoon form also very much ressembles laura from the evil within, she has the same long hair only showing one eye, has two pair of arms too and crawls on the ground the same way
I always found it interesting that Samarie/Dysmorphia and Marina/Cocoon almost seemed to have their moonscorched forms "swapped." Especially after watching this and getting a little more info. BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder) is a mental health disorder that is frequently a struggle for transpeople. And the idea that Samarie's backstory is tied to cocoons.... I dunno. In the end, still fascinating that even though it's only a one-sided relationship that the two are undeniably connected in the greater scheme of the world.
you seem to confuse body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria. they're not the same nor are they related to each other. most transgender people don't suffer from body dysmorphia.
Dysmorphia isn't the same as dysphoria. Dysphoria is when you don't feel comfortable in your gender. Dysmorphia is when you don't feel comfortable in your own skin for example some bodybuilders feel Dysmorphia because they feel that they aren't big\strong enough and needs to gain more muscles
Off topic, when this game is 100% finished, I hope theres a true ending, and I mean a good or bad ending. I'm used to the cruel elements but I've seen humanity in here before
Reminds me of fractured humans from Jagaaan. Probably the inspiration behind the phenomenon since the creator does know of the manga with how the weeping scope looks
Your take on henryk seems almost intetionally more harsh then the other contestants. Why is everyone else a reflection of insecurities while the mayor is "the true henryk?" Would you say that "true marco" just wants to attack everyone on sight? What did henryk do to you?
People interpret things differently when they see them. Me personally I see Mayor as an evocation of his feelings and desires (power, lust, respect, etc). Marcoh on the otherhand I see more as him "letting go" of his doubts and worries by letting loose on whoever because he feels an ounce of "there's no going back" in his mind.
Not all the contestants moonscorch represent the same thing, some of them bring out the worst aspects of them such as henryk, some of them are representations of how they see themselves like abella, and so on, henryk's moonsorch brings out his perverted and womanizing nature and maintains his tendency to use food as a defense mechanism
I mean, this kinda seems obvious so that's prolly why it wasn't mentioned, but isn't it a bit of symbolism that Dysmorphia stands in the same (or very similar) stance as Marina? (only recently found this channel, very informative keep it up!)
The reason there would be no confirmation between an intended resemblance between ff10 anima summon and marinas cocoon is because there wouldn't be one intentionally. They are just both the same thing. Doesn't mean one is based off of or related to the other.
What is the name of the manga related to the weeping scope? Sorry I can't find it through conventional means or by searching what it sounds like. I can't find the exact spelling. Thank you!!
The saying is "bull in a china shop." I never put two and two together on Levi being a Jagaaaaaaan reference. I loved that manga, and was so mad that it was rushed because of that wack sports manga
I think this is a good compliment for those people who made these two mods, because it turns out there are those who mistook them for real in-game content)
Levi either runs away or hides in the orphanage, depending on when you come across him. You can even interact with his moon scorched form without initiating an attack at the orphanage, and you can either be nice or talk trash calling him an inhuman monster.
bro if im gonna become moonscorched atleast make me look cool, and if that doesnt happen immediately, give me some time and dont kill me so i can look cooler
Marina is a trans woman. stated on the wiki page and confirmed by a dev comment on itch. comment from the wiki: "Marina is a transgender woman, and her identity as trans is occasionally brought up and plays a significant role in her story, mainly outside of the events of the Termina festival. Miro has furthermore enforced her identity in a comment thread on the game's itch io page." comment from the developer: "As for making it canonical - I think it more or less is canon already. I mean how else would you read the info presented in the game? I've heard some people argue that she just dresses like this in this moment in time, but Marina's ending shows clearly otherwise. If the game was set in any more modern setting, I wouldn't mind labels, but I don't think in the 40s they had modern identity vocabulary. Besides I kinda like how it is presented in the game currently. It's not emphasized or understated, this is just how Marina is. Hope this is understandable and doesn't feel like a cop out, as I'm certainly not trying to brush it aside."
Marina's father actually seemed to be relatively "okay" with her being raised female. When you witness her Father's death as Marina, he says that the letter should have been 'the end' for her, suggesting he knew about her hate/dislike towards him and figured that with her Mothers death, she would have no reason to ever come home and ever risk being discovered. His final words, I think, are "You know better.... Stupid girl...."
Not to mention when he speak of Marina to other people and misgenders her, he has to correct himself to do it. He only misgenders her when he is speaking of Church business. Does it make him a good Father? No, but, it does show he cares for his daughter on some level.
Daan's moonscorched is kinda strange for me, it look more like a possesion than a transformation for me, beside the fact that the mask of pocketcat fuse with him
While it’s definitely somewhat of a possession, Pocketcat does still act like a moonscorch form, in that he shows Daan's fears and insecurities. First of all, Daan's parents were Sylvian cultists. Sylvian cultists wear bunny masks while doing sexual activities. Pocketcat is a openly perverse and has a cat mask permanently fused to his face. There’s a clear similarity between them, showing Daan's fear of being tied to his past. Secondly, Pocketcat is also coded as a child predator in the first game, which shows Daan's fear of continuing the cycle of abuse, considering the implication that his parents made him participate in the Sylvian rituals even as a child. Lastly Daan feels like he can’t be anything as himself anymore, considering the only time he found happiness in his life through Elise, he lost her. Essentially, he feels blank and without purpose. Pocketcat makes the line that Daan is a “dirty degenerate furry.” There’s a double meaning to it. It’s a meta line considering Pocketcat can break the fourth wall (like when he references Covid.) Obviously there’s the reference to his whole Sylvian cult backstory, but also in real life, furriers feel like they can express themselves better when they dress up as an animal. Since Daan feels hollow and without purpose, becoming Pocketcat is his last hope of finding meaning in his despair.
Also important to note is that Daan has to accept Pocketcat's offer, which gives us insight into the other characters. Moonscorching is essentially the enabling of your worst fears. Even seen in the Monster. The form shows hints of feeling disgusted with himself, shown by the warts covering the body, and an insecurity of feeling little if you use persuade on him. Which reframes Caligula's suit and groomed hair as him trying to look better than others because of his own disgust with himself. Probably due to him being taking advantage of by others in his past, which is supported by Monster's insecurity about being seen as “little.”
@@jakes8971 Thank you for your help ! I understand more clearly Daan's case and by the way why pocketcat call him a "degenerate furry" I also have another question concerning Rher. It is say that in fact, Rher has leave the world like other old god but still interact. It's not Per'kele that bring the moonscorched so how does he use the trace of Rher as a tool for serving the Sulfur God? I also don't understand the concept of "Traces" since they can interract with us ( talking about Rher and Gro'goroth")
@@HighMonkSekiro No problem. Traces are essentially the remnants of the old gods in the world. The old gods have left the mortal world and aren’t consciously manipulating it anymore, however because of their colossal power, their influence is still felt and tangible in the mortal world. The characters can’t actually observe the true forms of the old gods (check the first games b ending for reference) but the traces can be seen, and the personality the old gods traces show are but a fraction of what they once was. Because of Rher's influence still existing in the mortal world despite his departure, the termina festival is still happening, however Rher no longer views it consciously like he did before. Moonscorching and the termina festival are more like forces of nature now if that makes sense. Per'kele discovered that his old master Rher had left the world, so when he discovered the Sulfur god, he decided to give the now “meaningless” termina festival a new meaning. Now Per'kele would use it to recruit new members to the cult of Sulfur. Anyone who would kill everyone before the third day would prove their bloodlust, and be offered a position in the cult of sulfur.
What brothers me is that this is the exact same moonscorch you get when you touch the tower door with her in the party. If hers is this situational, then her tower one should be different.
@@botatobias2539 She also becomes infected regardless of Woodsman's fate. Alive? Infected. Dead? Infected. Infected us? Infected. This is one big plot hole.
the video doesn't mention it at all for some reason but the main evidence for that is daan's examination of her body which says "Look at the tissue on the head. Looks very alien. It is just speculation, but the transformation this creature went through could have started from the head. Maybe an outside organism could have attached itself on the face of this person?" Doesn't solve the moonscorching on day 3 problem but this theory does have some evidence in the game outside of the design
Marina's moonscorched form is either a huge W or a huge L, depending on how you look at it. On the one hand, it arguably does the best job of preserving as much of the original human body and mind as possible. On the other hand, she very obviously doesn't enjoy this form and it's not that much more powerful either. With a red arc or murky vial, the Cocoon - the moonscorched form of a main character - is as easy to deal with as a moonscorched ghoul. So huge L right there. It's also very interesting how we got 2 people in 1 body, unique among the moonscorched contestants. Marina and her dad, each with their completely separate lifebars. It's either legit the remains of her dad, given that Rher had ready access to them on account of Sam bringing his body into the Rher dimension. Or her mind really did just manifest a doppel-dad.
I may be the only one thinking that Pocketcat isn't really Daan moonscorch form and more like Pocketcat intervened before the moonscorching. I tried to imagine how his moonscorch form would look like a messed up doctor desperately trying to "heal and save people" while also lamenting upon his failure (with mybe some hints of him that he should have accepted an offer he got). His attack would be something akin to opening wounds on patients which would highly cause bleeding and cauterize it which would cause burning damage. Maybe he would have a twisted healing spell that would heal a bit but cause another effect. In a way he is still trying to save you but can't and his rambling failure would cause mind damage. I still like the Pocketcat form for Daan which also fits his lore and personality.
@@airplanes_aren.t_real Don't know much about Gulty Gear but I do know Faust is the doc with the paper right. That's the only thing I know about Faust and if his story is similar than what I made up for Daan it would made me chuckle tbh.
Hey! Just wanted to say that the name Mechanical Dance probably came from a song by a band LUNA SEA which was pretty popular in the 90s: “Now, I know that I'll begin to collapse from the pain. Even the sun which I cannot see hurts. I can't stop my tears, they will wither me away. I embraced the sins of my graphic body [E.D.E.N]” This is a part of the translated lyrics to the song “Mechanical Dance” by Luna sea. Mind you, Luna sea is really huge in Japan
I really hope an update comes to just allow more playable characters or at least different more personal endings. The current 3 endings end up feeling too simple and "worthless". It's crazy how the most important characters are the ones you cannot use, because the story of those unplayable contestants are more impactful like Caligura and August. Plus Tanaka is just the coolest man, he do be grinding.
I have an idea why Rher wanted Daan, Olivia and Abella to go, other then just the obvious, the first one to go usually tends to either be the most dangerous or the easiest, which in turn to how well Abella can use scrap and parts to make high quality weapons, that she is indeed something that could foil Rhers plans, much like Daan knowing much about the gods and how those gods had ruined his life; that all it would take would be to snap and turn into Rhers’ biggest threat that could even surpass Abella. Oliva is smart in ways that could be the natural and could easily find a way that would pass limitations of the festival, being that she is even cunning when in her wheel chair, especially if you fight her suddenly she uses its common motion, and uses drifting into you to strike at you. Threats are never to be taken lightly, and between those three is why I think Rher goes after them.
The gentleman isn't a major sexualizing womanizer because thats what he is as a human hes one because his he fears that's what people would see him as do to the times he steps out of line
Haven't played this game but binge watching because I love the lore the character designs and their style of graphics I'd love to read if there's a collection of books it. 😅
I think it would be interesting if there was a game where you had the opportunity to prevent someone from becoming moonscorched by helping them with their mental health issues or even helping them return from being moons scorched by helping them with their mental health
