Great little game. Played it at UKGE and immediately bought it. When you encounter the Black Panther you gain (not spend) Jungle Expertise, adding the card to your play area.
Came here because of the 'advertising cards' in my Odins Ravens box, looks really good. Wish Friday had this art style because I'm not too keen on it but love the game.
Like someone else said, love the artwork and it's sort of Tin Tin styling. It's also nice to see female characters that actually look dressed for an expedition rather than hot pants and all cleavage. It looks pretty tough to beat! Definitely looks like something I'd like, added to my wants list. Cheers Zee!
That seems like a bit of a jump. Friday has a classic solitaire feel to it, this looks great but I think has different aspirations. They are both solo playable and mostly green in color, so I'll understand the comparison. Friday lets you fight pirates at the end, just saying.
"Zee Solos The Lost Expedition" ; ) I'm sure a lot more people would view this video if they knew that Zee was showing the solo version of this. I mean, sure... people watch Zee because you know, he's Zee! : ) But "Zee Solos_______" is like video Zee on steroids! I'm not saying Zee is on steroids people! ; ) Is there a "Zee Solos" playlist on The Dice Tower RU-vid channel????? There should be!
Sean May In the rules for solo play “At the game’s end, score one point for each remaining Food and Ammunition token, one point for each unused Expertise card in your team area, and five points if you have not yet shuffled the deck. Multiply your points by the number of surviving explorers to get your final score.”
looks like it will appeal to those who enoyed Friday game in terms of tough puzzle challenge and the theme. but the lost expedition offers more variety. anyone played both and could compare?
I have a question, say your camper explorer dies can you still use camping cards you have acquired? What if your yellow requires a camping and that explore is dead?
You can still use them. Think of it as camping knowledge that is gained *by the group* while on expedition. The camping expertise of the character is the skill they bring to expedition from the beginning. Different things.
They obviously intended it as a Tin Tin and the Lost city game.. but couldn't afford the Licence. LOL As for the game, no dice...whether you win or not is completely random. it's an activity, not a game. Activities can be fun, but this isn't one of those activity games for me. Good review though!
