Diana’s father lent the gorgeous Spencer tiara for her wedding and afterward use use as Princess of Wales until her brother inherited it at her father’s death. Diana loved that tiara wore the Spencer as often as she wore the Lover’s Knot, and she was absolutely furious when her brother said she had to give the Spencer tiara back. Not a happy family.

After reading some of the comments below, the only other thing I will add in regard to the beautiful "York" tiara, is the fact that they are not easy to put in place... so Sarah had the tiara behind the flower headpiece she wore down the isle, then when signing the marriage registry the flowers were removed, leaving the tiara, it was a great idea. Sarah made a beautiful bride and a friend of mine, who has seen the wedding dress in person, said it was "absolutely beautiful"... 🦘
