Nowadays pple are trying too much to modernize church music that it sounds noisy and void Currently we have songs in church with many repetitive sentences and monotone beats as a result we don't feel the anointing as you could see in the past, some pple during worship could have tears...
I love the old hymns and songs of the church. I certainly miss singing them. We have a worship team that mostly leads us in the modern songs. Some are good but others are watered down
The hymns have deep, peaceful, biblical, holy spirit inspired majestic lyrics. Modern music is repetitive, hokey, loud, and nothing like the depth of meaning in hymns or psalters, both of which are commanded to be sung.
No hymns like the old ones. Do not let the young people take over..tgey will make it like a club with competition. You have such feeling in your singing! From Newfoundland Canada..God bless you all.
Unfortunately, this church is now completely modern based on what I have seen in recent videos, and most are falling like dominos to rock music, all in the name of "reaching the lost".
Listening to these ever lasting hymns' I just cannot listen to them once, but over and over. Because each time, they bless me more, and more. Amen! David from Vancouver Island Canada
God bless this Church and all the beautiful people of Ireland 🇮🇪 🙏 such a great hym written by Frederick Lehman in 1917 who lived in California and who was going thru financial hardships when he penned this song on paper. From Texas - USA 🇺🇸 ❤️
Such power in singing praises to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. No wonder they dont want us gathering or singing in church. If we dont praise Yahweh, the rocks will. Amen !!!
7:15am here on Crete, Brent. Just one hour after your note here. Awesome words, and presence of God's people to encourage and inspire. Thanks also to Bibleguy for this channel.
OLDIES HYMNALS are FOREVER to remember & cherish, deeper in our hearts. Very spiritually speaking, very touching & as if you're with our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!🙏💜
I believe in the words of this song, they touch the heart, they fill my spirit, and my mind is stayed on the one who died for me. The love of my God, how rich and pure, how measureless and strong. Thank you Lord, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Oh love of GOD how rich and pure! Never depend on anything else brothers and sisters, his love is everything to me as a wretched sinner very aware of my hopelessness without him. Worty isthe Lamb!
Yes the doxology and theology in the old hymns ..may Our God be forever praised..it's because of God's finished work through Yeshua that we can draw near to Worship the only true God.
How churches are missing out these days the wholehearted worship, I'm glad our church stands out different from the present day modern churches because of the great sacrifice of men of faith who laid a strong foundation!!
My name is Jeff I live in Melbourne Australia. I’ve always liked the old hymns I am 71 years old are used to go to Fellowship was very noisy and the music was very rocky so I found a fellowship at the moment is very quiet the gospel preach I can hear what’s going on and I’m truly blessed but once again I love put the old hymns on my RU-vid channel and listening to yours Jeff well done if I ever in Ireland in the near future I’m deathly coming to your Fellowship Jeff
These hymns are a blessing to my soul it elevates my worshipping mind . God bless the meetings that hold on to the truth as reflected in these hymns of worship and adoration .
Bless you all , Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle in Belfast. In so many churches here in North America, the lies are perpetrated that 1)nobody sings old hymns, 2)no young person attend church and sing old hymns. Your photo and singing prove them so wrong. How I wish I can be there to sing my heart out with all of you. "Old Rugged Cross" and "The Love of God" and others are hymns that are solid and inspiring, will never be replaced or improved. Praise be to Jesus !
The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen could ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest hell; The guilty pair, bowed down-with care, God gave His Son to win; His erring child He reconciled, and pardoned from all sin. O love of God, how rich and pure-how measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure, the saints' and angels' song. When hoary times shall pass away, And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall, When men who here refuse to pray- Will then on hills and mountains call, God's love so sure, shall still endure, All measureless and strong; Redeeming grace to Adam's race- The saints' and angels' song. Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill, and everyone a scribe by trade, To write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry. Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky. O love of God, how rich and pure-how measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure, the saints' and angels' song. O love of God, how rich and pure-how measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure, the saints' and angels' song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made; were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade, to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky.
It stirs my soul and makes my heart beat warm, because I know, yes I know, my Savior lives. Yes He lives in my heart and my soul rejoices in Him to the Father, who in and through Him gives life to those who love Him in righteousness from a pure heart, worship Him in spirit and in truth, with perseverance to the end then. Hallelujah.
Dit roer my siel en laat my hart warm klop, want ek weet, ja ek weet, my Verlosser leef. HalleluYah.
