Blue smart is doing same thing with lower price but I think that eventually Shoffr will either be limited to just few cities or they will be bankrupt because India is still a price sensitive market
No, I will choose shoffr over uber. India is a growing economy with huge potential I mean huge potential and the spending is sky rocketing. These startups can easily scale-up
@@NerdCentral_ I am comparing blue smart with Shoffr See blue smart will do the same thing at 200-300 rs less with same quality service but without those chocolates and newspapers and they have better margins because of their business architecture
@@NerdCentral_ and also anybody willing to pay Rs600 for 2 km ride will either be a celebrity or an UHNWI and that's very rare to find But they can scale if they work with consultancy firms and provide them these services, they are willing to pay
He capitalised on the fact that a lot of people are willing to pay more just to guarantee a pleasant experience, as opposed to fighting with drivers from Ola/Uber over basic consumer rights.
I would say difference isn't much in pricing. An SUV on Uber/ola from my home to KIA Terminal 1 costs around Rs. 1300, and same on Shoffr is around Rs. 1600, i remember during their initial days they were giving discount which ultimately made the fare around Rs. 1300, same as Ola/Uber. And the driver was professional, arrived on time, didn't fight with me for turning on AC, ,there were English/Hindi/Kannada newspapers, and complementary water and choclates/mints. A very great experience. And the BYD EV SUV is very spacious and comfortable, especially if you have large trolleys and suitcases. Leave the HNIS, even middle and upper middle class won't mind paying 250-300 extra for such a treatment and experience. It has become a regular in my family.
Another thing i forgot to add is in Ola/uber lot of times the driver tries to bypass the toll road towards KIA, asks you to cancel and pay him directly, which is a big safety risk. Not faced such issues in shoffr till now, even without saying they take the toll road and don't pester us saying toll is not included in the fare or something like that. Oh and i have booked shoffr more than 15 times till now and not faced a single last minute cancellation like ola/uber, the driver always arrives 15-20 mins in advanced
1300₹ for taxi fu!k no , who is such a dumb to take taxi in this price? May be spoilt rich kids ? With this price I can travel other city two times and return in our car in less than 1000₹. 😂
Shoffr provides really good car, with well behaved drivers who are not sleep deprived at a very good price point. Please maintain this quality of service, Bangalore really needs dependable cab services.
@@bot.6133Common bro no way we are going to drink from the water bottle given to us in a Cab,I know its the company who will provide it but we can't trust the cab driver and definitely not the girls in late night will drink from the cab,And for these mere services we pay them extra??Instead we will buy water bottle by ourselve
@@abhishekarya01lol so damn true, these people are not able to understand the market Shoffer is trying to cater to, the business executives travel a lot to and fro and yes they don’t take their drivers with them 😂
This is for normal people only as charges are only 20 30 percent extra. I pay 1k for Ola while Bluesmart costs 1200 and this service is 1350 Any normal white collar job or business person or similar working person can pay this in metro cities
My guess is their target audience are business executives from foreign nations who are visiting Bangalore. But even then most five star properties have their in-house car services so idk
@@abhilashpatel6852I don’t think you have idea on salaries . 12 LPA is a very normal salary and it is not sufficient to take even Ola or Uber car services daily unless you are ok with blowing most part of the salary and whole if the distance is high . And these services are of slightly luxury segment so it can be used once for a while
This is how Uber started its journey back in San Francisco. Although not promising chocolates and other stuff.. Hoping this start up gets all the success!
If this strategy makes money then it wouldn't be long for ola and uber to do same and It would be much more impactfull with this huge investment of ola and uber.
@@xninja2369he is not targeting those customers who are price sensetive to begin with. He is targeting customers who doesn't mind paying a little extra for the comfort. So basically upper middle class.
Why should any one be frustrated with them running their own taxi service? They are frustrated with not getting basic services in a those taxis are run by ola and uber.
Met him while hosting an AI event last month. He was kind enough to share his number, when I asked to get connected on LinkedIn. He infact asked me to text on WhatsApp. Great man!
Great idea bhaiya ji I am really inspired of it by listening and understand the thinking pattern brother ji thank you so much I rely pray that this start up will grow more in our life and we use it each and the every in our every city of the india to for fun and the really needed of the travel for the traveling to ❤😊😉😊😋😀🙏😁🤗😃
The problem with Ola and Uber is constant cancellation , drivers asking above the stated fee and awful maintenance inside . A company called Red Taxi solves for these
This is like BlackLane from Europe and US. I have looked for such services in metro cities in India when I visit during business trips because a segment in India can afford such cabs and wants that comfort and professionalism from drivers. This company will certainly grow big! There is a market for it
The fact that I am able to reach my destination properly is more than enough for me and most of the people because many people know who use cab on daily basis that sometimes how the car interior is and Indian people wants a quality product in a cheaper rate so ig this is not a big market for shoffr yes for airport but don’t know about daily basis usage cause rich ones have their own driver n car but still even if there is a difference of 300/- between both pricing(not airport but daily basis) idk normal ppl will or not.
I booked an Uber to go from Taj Vivanta to Bangalore airport. The uber came with broken windshield and all the parts of the car making noise. Driver was shabby. It was an embarrassment to take that cab, still got in because I was getting late to the airport. Then the driver offered me to end the trip and take me from different route faster and cheaper. I was with my family, I got down right there on road and booked another taxi to the airport 🤦♂️ We definitely need some basic standards in taxi services 👍
That's not what they diferentiating from others, luxury vehicles can only be rented by luxurious people and for them offering these types of basic things is utmost important.
But every other taxi service has these features...and they provide it easily.. because they take reviews of customers on all the aspects of the rides...also customers can give rating on the rides which affects the driver...
Not everyone is comfortable with poor hygiene and quality just because we are in India. It is targeting top 5% and most of them are in metros. This will work well in Mumbai as well. I am self made HNI and I will pay for it if it's priced under 1k per ride of 20-25km. After all I know value of money and hence don't want to be fleeced even if I extra disposable income
Recently I landed in Bangalore, and Uber was charging 1600 while Ola was charging 900 for the same route (idk why). Needless to say, the Ola queue was long and wait time was definitely >30 mins. I went with an airport taxi, which cost me 1100. Better driver, better cab, and they drive better most of the time. Sometimes, the old way is the better way.
In what universe chocolates are considered basic necessity while travelling in cabs? It's not the company's (or) driver's responsibility if the customer goes hungry
Chocolate and water is not super basic… at least in India. By the way shoffr is my choice of airport taxi after I used it once last year. They charged 1200 and Uber’s price was around 1000
The bare minimum of a cab is to get us from point a to point b in a stipulated time with basic features as AC and comfortable seats, neatness, availability and standard rate, if a cab aggregator can focus on this that would win.
That is a good idea but it will only cater to people who are way above middle class. Its like providing business class in taxi rides where others use economy.
If this guy has gone to sharks in shark tank, they'd have told him that it would be easy for existing players like ola and Uber to just add a fleet of luxury cars
If i had known this i would have booked this during my previous visit to Bangalore, i usually used ola, uber , rapido, even their premium cabs were utter garbage, nowadays they don't even turn on AC, and tye whole vehicle always stinks and is unclean. I wouldn't mind it usually but when i am moving with clients or want to travel in comfort usually when wearing suits it gets really uncomfortable very quickly in these cabs. Next time will definitely check them out
But in a longer period of time if he wants to expand he’ll do the same as ola uber hiring random people with random cars so anyone car earn and he gets more reach eventually it will be same and bought by ola
