I love their stand and the fact that it is kind of standardized. I ended up jumping ship for peak designs but love that magsafe works with other magsafe cases

I got a blue case for my iPhone 12 Pro. It's true about the case being susceptible to fingerprints. Overtime the case got darker and it wasn't so blue anymore. I'll probably get a black or gray one next time.
I have the grey one and prints still show up pretty easy. I can’t help but like how strong the embedded magnets are. It makes a great car mount with the additional supplied magnets. I just modified my existing cheap mount and now I can finally use it one handed without having to buy an additional one.
I bought a case & wallet combo. Super satisfied with the product but even more so for their service. My stitching on the loop of the wallet started to come loose. I messaged them about it and they sent me a replacement without any questions. Also, thanks for checking the magnets, I know in the last video I was interested for that detail since the last vid!
IMO, the oversized corners were not my favorite. The design detracts from the shape of an iPhone. I got my MagBak for my 12 Mini, actually a couple weeks before they integrated magsafe into the design. But since they added magsafe to the wallet, I got the wallet, and now use it with my Apple silicone case and love it. Since I had the magstrips from the case, I can use the wallet to mount, and I can spin my phone on the wallet to change landscape and portrait. I will add also, I have noticed that I have a magsafe ring on the back of my black apple case, kinda like yall were getting on the blue case. Also, recently I am noticing when I cable charge my phone, with the wallet attached, my phone starts to heat up some. Not really sure what is going on there.
Great review. Curious on what screen protector you used with the MagBak case? I had a Spigen glass screen protector on my 13 Pro and the case lifted it almost instantly.
this happened to me too. it lifted my screen protector and ruined it, i emailed them, they sent me one of “their” SPs, which looked a lot cheaper- lots of broken english on the box, three different weird sets of instructions all slightly different and in such bad english i couldn’t understand. in their email they said to put the case on first, then the screen, which means you had to free hand it. i put the screen on, the case lifts it. 🤬 i take the case off, the SP lays flat with no problem. i put my old case back on my phone and at first it was fine but now their cheap SP comes up with my old case. so i now either have to have no case or buy another SP because of the magbak case ruining my good older one.
I think you missed the boat on this one. I want to know if that case sticks to anything like a fridge or a 3rd party car mount. Their advertising shows sticking to a lot of things but you can't tell if they are using that little thing you got to stick somewhere first.
I recently bot a magbak for my iphone 15 but the case is far too smooth and slippery. I am in the process of trying to return it but the Magbak site does not recognize my email or order #. Also there is no telephone support number or email support on their site. This sucks.
I really wish that someone would knock it out of the park with these proprietary setups. Each one has an Achilles heel that’s a turnoff to buying into the ecosystem. Magbak…great wallet, nice mounting system and charger but crappy case. Plus you lose functionality using the wallet with any other case. Peak Design…nice wallet, nice tripod, nice case but magnet strength may damage your $1,000+ phone. I’m currently using a Nomad Modern Leather Case, Moment Car Vent Mount & Belkin 3n1 Boost Charge Pro. Have had a Moment Olive Leather Case on order for like 3 months that I’m still waiting to ship. Been eyeing wallets for going minimalist when the wife and I get a night out and I’m still unsettled. Mainly because it seems like the ones that I like lack full functionality unless paired with their cases. Plus, my current wallet is pretty minimal as is (XSTO Customized 6 card capacity) so I’m not pressed to buy a magnetic wallet.
Well I just bought the mag wallet and mag case and they work fantastic but I agree you have to use both to get the benefits. Apple also tries to keep you in there system so I can’t fault magbak for wanting to do the same.
Thanks for this. I just upgraded to the iPhone 13pro and need to be able to attach a removable finger loop grabber, similar to the Speck Grabtab, but magnetized instead of adhesive. I have the Popsocket Magsafe, but it’s ergonomically uncomfortable because it mounts to the center of the phone. I do a lot of one hand (thumb) texting. My case is the Apple clear case with MagSafe. What is the best product for my situation?
Not sure if this answers your question but I have a black magbak case and I just got the magbak wallet both work very good with each other. Also I bought a pop grip wallet and I use it with my magbak case and it has a very strong magnetic grip so yes if you have the pop socket grip it should work even better
How is the spacing on the magnets on the magback? My wife and I r on the “scosche” magnet system but hate having the metal chunks on the back of the phone. If they line up I can just swap the case and use my current eco system.
I feel that case makers are uninspiring any more. My 6S would have cases made to feel like cloth. Now, they're just almost the same thing. This case looks a bit interesting, though.
