Imagine that on the territory of your country there is something that all the states of the world want to use. If you have enough military and economic power, then you will extract maximum profit from your monopoly. But if you are a country with a weak economy, then other, more powerful powers will seize your resource, and a puppet government will be put in power.
What will happen next? Sooner or later, revolutions and civil wars will break out in your country for power over this resource. Some will try to maintain the status quo, while others will try to nationalize what is rightfully theirs. And when the superpowers intervene in this conflict, the world will no longer be the same.
