Twill tape is commonly found in tailoring factories state side, if you visit the workshops on Savile Row and the West End you'll see all the bespoke tailoring using warp cut lining for their bridle. Wider than twill tape, the lining is drawn off at 1/2" and then hand sewn to the canvas to lock in the fullness. There is more shaped worked into a handcrafted bespoke suits compared to MTM in America.

Hey Rory. Is the canvas cut back at the sleeve seam or is the sleeve attached to the outer layer and canvas underneath?

I’ve just discovered your channel. Do you sell an online course that someone with average sewing ability could follow along and learn how to create something, please? I’m very interested in tailoring but not able to enrol on a face to face course. I’m also not sure if these skills are possible to acquire in an online delivery.
