I'm a woman, but this has really shown me the value of tailored clothing. I can't imagine how confidence-building it would be to wear something made just for my own shape and size. You are a true artist.
Thanks for showing us the closed world of bespoke, wearing something sized or tailored for you enjoy the exceptional way of being well treated. I like this art it's my hobby and you help me to go into. You are a master
Thanks for following along and keeping the trade alive. You should check out some of my 'how to' videos available on subscription. www.handcrafttailor.com/team-1
Rory Duffy Thank you for posting your videos and I truly enjoy them. Tailoring is indeed an art I definitely desire to learn for my own future business endevours. Would you have any advice in ways of learning to tailor? Any literature or just simple advice perhaps?
Get yourself a sewing machine, some cloth and try making small samples and work from there. Big projects should only be attempt once you have learned the skills first. Check out my vimeo channel www.vimeo.com/roryduffy/ for more info on using a needle and thimble.
Am proud to announce that I will be opening the doors of my Tailoring Academy, Old Park House School of Tailoring in August 2016. For further information please visit my blog roryduffy.blogspot.com
I dont usually comment on videos, but I must thank you and the others involved in this project! Thanks a lot, this is an amazing way to learn techniques, from someone who really knows how to do it, and see why tailoring is a form of art!
Having now watched all of the videos in this series, I am very very impressed and have so much respect for your craft. Hopefully, I can one day have the honor of wearing one of your suits.
hi Rory hope you remember me we corresponded by email maybe 2 years ago!! I'm jojo the English fashion designer who has gone into tailoring a few years ago. I did a tour of northern and southern Ireland and met a,lovely tailor in Galway who knows you, David Young, apparently the only real tailor left in Ireland who trained and worked on Savile Row.. Hope you are keeping well and business doing good. All the best from England.
you can see where the stitching will sit, and you can also see the ease, and the stress given of by the chalk markings. it's pretty useful to have when it comes to tailoring
Joshua Rehaluk m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b4l4khCUnIM.html This vid is awesome 😂😂😂 But he says work not war. Just bc of his accent it sounds like war.
Really great videos Rory, thanks so much for taking the time to share your amazing talent with us all! Your work is impeccable!! I have been looking everywhere for videos to make a suit jacket, and this is the closest I found! I haven't watched all your videos yet, only about 16, so I don't know if you tell us how long it would usually take you to make a jacket/coat? I can't wait to watch your other videos, but it's now 03.30, so I better stop...blessings to you, from Clare :)
Rory, I can"t tell you how many times I've watched your videos. Thanks for doing this. Have you decided if you plan to embark upon an online teaching program as discussed on cutter and tailor? Amateursarto (Pierre/Pete)

Hi Elmar, As a former lecturer at Parsons The New School, and evident by way of this video series, am always open to helping students. In my experience there are few comprehensive drafting systems available in books. However I would be willing to share mine. It has long been my intention to upload it on my blog but have little time. Please have your lecturer reach out to me via my website email address and I shall provide them with my personal drafting instructions. CC yourself on the email. Regards, Rory
