The fact that he acknowledges how much people love these characters and stories makes me respect him very much. He has so much respect to the worlds his crew have created. I would totally trust him to do Toy Story 4.
I am watching this in 2017, and after seeing that last minute where he discussed how much he wanted Toy Story 2 to be great, it completely one-upped my confidence in how much effort he's putting into Toy Story 4.
Dude that last part about the little boy with the woody doll. Literally got me choked up. I was one of those little boys. I was 5 in ‘95 in theaters watching in wonder. I had a buzz, woody, slinky, Rex and a racecar. I accumulated them through various birthdays and christmases. I remember the day I accidentally pulled out woodys draw string. I was sitting on my bed. Cowboy wall paper, bed spread and theme in my bedroom, and I cried my little heart out. My mom recently got me a T-shirt that says “made in the 90s” with a cartoon buzz and woody on it. To this day, at 28 these movies have impacted my life and have a special place in my heart. I hope one day I’m lucky enough to watch them with my future children and share it with them. Thank you Disney, thank you Pixar, and thank you John Lasseter for making this little boys childhood magical.
How to make a good sequel: “look back at the original film and respect every aspect of it.” If more movie directors followed this simple rule, then sequels would actually turn out better. But sadly, they see sequels as just an opportunity to make more money. Just look at how Disney handles sequels!
I don't know for you, but Toy Story 2 is my favorite of the whole franchise. A proof that you can make a sequel as good as/or better than the original film.
***** Exactly! It was almost deleted in 1998 by accident and scraped when A Bugs Life was released only to be remade and compressed from january to october 1999.
Kiko Li Yes. One month before the European releasee of A Bugs Life Pixar and John Lasseter explained to Disney their wish to continue on the Toy Story 2 project for a theatrical release in November 1999. The Toy Story 2 plot we all know was re writen in just a week end an the final version of the film itself was finished in 9 month from january to october 1999. The most ambitious Pixar project imao.
This is the last Toy Story movie to feature every voice actor from the original one. Jim Varney who voiced Slinky Dog and Joe Ranft who was Lenny the toy binoculars and Wheezy the squeeze toy penguin died before Toy Story 3. So Pixar replaced Varney with Blake Clark who was a friend of his that sounds like him and Ranft's characters weren't used at all (except for flashback sequences when Andy was a kid but they don't speak). Toy Story 4 is being created right now and Don Rickles is dead now so there's no Mr. Potato Head RiP.
The news came in, Don Rickles' voice will be heard as Potato Head. Pixar will use the unused audio tracks Don did in the first 3 movies, video games, ice skating shows and theme parks in Toy Story 4.
Toy Story 4: Buzz and Jessie make love but Woody intervenes and the movie results to this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TJnWKqAAFJM.html
Well we will never know if the child recognized John. I wouldn't know the producers of "Rudolph" if they ran over me with a car in 1964. Still wouldn't!!! But John did remember the child! And it moved him so much it inspired him to make TS2 The best he could. Thanks kid! You unknowingly helped make Toy Story 2 what it became!
😂😭😌😊❤What he said At the end of this that was the most beautiful heartwarming story i've ever heard.who else really wish they were little again to relive their wonderful childhood where life had no difficulty I do
TheTrainStation Still, it did give audiences a good hint at the possibility of there being a third Toy Story movie that involved what would happen to Woody and the gang once Andy was on his way to college.
Toy Story 2 is my favourite from the Toy Story movies and also 4 too (for different reasons which is mainly because of Bo peep returning and the toys riding in an rv). While also liking all three of the cars movies (which are mainly my favourites from Pixar, I don’t care what people say about 2 with the spy cars, I thought it was great that the theme was irrelevant for once), finding Nemo and Dory, ratatouille, incredibles 2, onward and Lightyear. Also any of the toy characters in toy story (mainly around 2) that are my favourites are going to be Woody, Mr potato head, Mrs potato head, the robot, slinky dog, the aliens, Rex, Hamm, Jessie, Bo peep, Lenny the binoculars, evil emperor Zurg, stinky Pete, marionette Woody, barrel of monkeys, Buzz Lightyear, bullseye, rc the car, etch a sketch, little green army man and tour guide Barbie. Mostly because they have been part of the McDonald’s toys back in 1999 and I couldn’t decide which one was my favourite so I went with those ones.
What a very touching behind-the-scenes featurette. You know, one of my friends hates the fact that Lee Unkrich took over as full-time director for Toy Story 3. He describes Unkrich as the kid you leave in charge when the real boss isn't around, and he also refers to him as a schmuck face lol. What do you guys think of Lee Unkrich? Do you think he was right to direct Toy Story 3?
Daniella Cartwright actually the reason Lasseter is directing the fourth one is According to Lasseter, "Toy Story 3 ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another Toy Story movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie-and I wanted to direct it myself."
When you have a movie as big as Toy Story was, it was inevitable that a sequel was going to make a lot of money at the box office. Anticipation was going to be extremely high, when Toy Story 2 was released to movie theatres.
🎆🎆 It would be awesome if Toy Story 2 would never die like Toy Story and the other Pixar movies do as we know today, because it would be used as a great idea to encourage people of all ages to participate more often in character meet and greets at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. 👍🏼if you strongly agree.
I collect toys but I play with mine probably because I grew up with these movies and I feel scared of ditching them and feel bad I still have ones I got when I was younger
