Based on a prompt from a Facebook group, I thought it'd be neat to show you where I spend so much time lol

Man, that's a throw back to my childhood. Love it. Nothing fancy, but it looks so comfortable and has everything in its place. We have a shocking amount in common. I'm not surprised that you're a fellow Python (and I assume Fawlty Towers) fan. I grew up on WWF, with my TV feed from Detroit, so I never saw Ric Flair. Haha. I was a JYD fan!

I wish I had a picture of my parents' basement because mine is just a smaller version - carpet, paneling and all! :) Maybe that's part of why I feel so at home there, it's familiar to me. I was literally just telling a coworker about Basil Fawlty two days ago! "The Germans" might just be the greatest comedy episode in the history of sitcoms. We had WWF and NWA/WCW (out of Atlanta). I also had USWA out of Memphis (so I remember Jerry Lawler from before he was in WWF) and GWA out of Dallas (Kevin Von Erich wrestled there). Remember, though, Flair was in WWF in the early 90s and won the 1992 Royal Rumble.

@@brettsmusicreviews2641 Ah, by the early '90s I had moved from Saskatchewan to BC and left pro wrestling being (I think I'm 6 or 7 years ahead of you). I completely agree that the German episode beats all. I remember watching it for the first time with my Dad in our own wood panelled, gawdy carpeted basement and laughing so hard my gut hurt the next day. To think all of that was carefully scripted and agonized over. It seems spontaneous.
