liked the guy a lot....no pretension...easy going...not full of himself...I have been in film production for years and I am making my way into real estate and watching/listening to Chris made me smile. I understand his personality... the power of positive thought....could have listened to more.

So working with a famous photographer and living in Malibu are major advantages. The rest is what makes him a normal agent, he actually works. You aren’t going to be born in his situation or have the connections but you can work and it’s always been a numbers game. I used to work with Josh Altman, he was very friendly and sociable. That is the best approach no matter how much money you have.

Chris has nailed it. Sounds simple to say "integrity," or "ethics" or "hard work." But, it is sad, as an agent myself, how much of a stretch that is for so many. If I were not an agent, I would love to have Chris represent me.

What a moving and inspirational story. Sounds like Mr. Cortazzo has read the 4 agreements by Miguel Ruiz: Be impeccable with your word, don't take anything personally, don't ever make assumptions, and do your best. Also he brought up a huge point that regardless of his connections he still needed to learn the business of real estate and there is a ton of hard work involved. It's not like one door opens and you're "in", you gotta keep learning how to find new doors.

That is so true. He was raised amongst the wealthy so interm, he knows exactly what they seek as far as luxury. The thing that's left up to the buyer is location. By the way queenzlink247, Compton has some very beautiful well built homes. The violence just needs to drop.

Right place, right time is just the answer of someone who is after the money. There is a more profound connection of what these successful people do for living and the average joe who is desperate to make the next deal. If you are not able to at least appreciate those who succeed, you will never have a chance. Begin with that.

why is everyone so impressed with this guy? There are a lot of people out there that probably work harder everyday and are better in every way. The reason he's making so much more money than everyone else is because of the high end market he is in and the connections that came along with his previous job. Almost all of his success has branched from him simply being born into an affluent family. A lot of people don't even come close to having the advantages that have so easily fell upon this guy so don't go putting this guy up on a giant pedestol as someone you strive to be like, look up to someone who came from nothing and worked their ass off everyday to be successful.

Trust for me is the key in any relationship. When you sell real estate you are dealing with people's money and their home. Being honest, having integrity and showing professionalism will get you the reputation in your community. Having an excellent communication skills, being dedicated and organized will get the job done. Good listener and a strong negotiator accomplishes the clients goals. Listening to what Mr. Cortazzo had to say it seems that he has it all. Real estate is interesting, challenging and rewording in many different ways. I love selling real estate.

My professor said, "Wherever you've been in the world, what's important is the kind of person you are." She meant our integrity matters. It's always stuck with me. But my God taught me "it's good to be a nice person/a person of integrity. It's better if we become the person He's created us to be. But what's most important and best is for us to be a part of God's family." He gave it for free and all we have to do is to repent our sins, trust Jesus and accept Him as our personal Lord, and Savior. He is the eternal salvation.

Tell me what is your understanding towards the "Exposure to the rich?" sentences? It could be like his father or mother or be like his friend or his childhood or someone he knew from work and that someone with whom he work knew someone that rich? In real estate we need someone we knew, top or bottom doesnt count, but we need as much as friends here. Learn the process "Sphere of Influence", then you will understand his power of thought. Negative can only bring you down, there is no stairs for -v people, the only way to walkup the ladder by putting all your energy, all your positive and all of you to get there and dont forget to that someone has eventually help us to reach our goal. I think you need someone from inside hahaha... Keep believing yourself, its hard but trust me its worth to try. Because that is the "POWER OF THOUGHT"...

Okay... Maybe this guy doesn't really have a clue what it's like to start at zero as a RE agent, but so what? It's a little irritating, but that's his reality, and why should I resent someone that happens to be fortunate? How often do you stop and think about how lucky you are to be born in a western society? Our lives are all relative to the reality we were raised in. No need to bash on people that happen to be more fortunate. There are far more people LESS fortunate than you, and a lot of them probably resent you. No matter who you are, there will ALWAYS be people more fortunate. Concentrate on yourself and you may find yourself there some day.

Ms. Christy Holmes of Century 21 Award in Rancho Santa Margarita sold me house in Mission Viejo with mold, water damage and slab leak, violations of the building code and fraudulent termite extermination completion report. She was dual agent despite my concerns about conflict of interest. The house was advertised as Pristine and meticulously maintained. Ms. Holmes was dual agent and she had contract with sellers. She did not enforce purchase agreement, seller was late with seller disclosures and termite inspection report. Ms. Holmes was convincing me that fumigation takes place after close of escrow. In violation of paragraph 14 of purchase agreement I never received accounting of the repairs done by seller and termite certificate of completion listed only $4,665 in section 1 repairs, when the section 1 damages listed in termite inspection report were $5,995. After the escrow closed I've learned that over 100 roof tiles were broken and never replaced and recently California Pest Control Inspector informed me that repairs listed on termite certificate of completion were never repaired. The termite certificate of completion issued by England Extermination was fraudulent.

Venango County, Pennsylvania - Anyone who has done a search of real estate in the Rust Belt area of the United States has seen that the prices are amazing. For the price of a few months rent in one of the larger international cities, you can buy a house. In places like Western Pennsylvania, Northern Ohio, Michigan, Western New York housing prices are far below what you find in most other places around the world. However smart investors are realizing the potential here. First of all, you're buying property in the United States that is near many major metropolitan cities. The potential for investment is amazing. People no longer have to be in cities to work if they can do so online. Also, with such cheap prices people are seeing the potential for building retirement communities, small industries and other endeavors. Within a three hour drive from Toronto, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Washington D.C. you find home prices that are far below average, but within an easy commute for someone who needs to be near a major city. For example, if you do a search in places like Venango County Pennsylvania you can easily find houses for fifty thousand dollars and Victorian mansions for under two hundred thousand. Some houses go for as low as twenty thousand dollars and less, but require some work. Still the land underneath these very low houses is worth more to someone interested in investment opportunities. They are, after all, in the United States and near potential capitol from the larger surrounding cities. This is why the Rust Belt has turned into the Investment Belt, especially with younger investors and people from Asian markets looking for a place to put their newfound wealth. But, with prices like this, it will soon be "discovered" and the deals will soon be gone.

You are really that shameless arent you. You figure let me capitalize here by advertising my 'knowledge'...lol Did you not learn anything from the interview...billions doesnt come from low end markets. Its simple division. Further, pple that buy 50k-200k homes wont have a funding source in near future...rise in rates as dollars world euro currency takes dive. Pittsburgh...I owned homes and businesses there...you dont make money in pgh ...you bring money to pittsburgh.

I think you got issue with your attitude, i dont think because of the celebrities or whatever it is, do you know about real estate, do you recall any about SOI? what does it means to you? It means. Sphere Of Influence You need to know someone, not good at or best at but someone that other people talks about, you need that friend that can share your profile to others. Dont judge too often, as i heard about his story, he said he knew someond that has connection with the artist / models etc, he phtoshoot them. He is using his SOI, so there it is, the right place and the right time. Tell me what would you do of You were Him?
