The management hierarchy consists of four levels of management that are commonly seen in organizations. These levels of management include top managers, middle managers, first-line managers, and team leaders. In this video, we review the management hierarchy and learn how the location of the management position within the hierarchy affects the responsibilities of those managers.

To this tutorial we tend to see onanager doing all the tasks of all the mentioned managers How detrimental this is?
@Alanisbusinessacademy
@Alanisbusinessacademy 5 лет назад
Hard to say. In startups, managers or executives are more likely to perform more tasks. I currently run a coffee company in California, and as Chief Operating Officer I perform a variety of different tasks, including overseeing finances and marketing. In a larger more established company separate people would oversee these functions.

This is great! but I though the team leaders were at the bottom of the hierarchy and were not responsible for the work of others. For example: a cashier

Guille mardini Thank you! Usually they are at the bottom of the organization and take responsibilities away from first-line supervisors. They commonly do not have legitimate authority over other employees and serve merely to help coordinate activities between the group. Hope this helps clarify.

Who's higher in ranking First line managers or team leaders ?
@CorrectCrusader
@CorrectCrusader 6 лет назад
Generally they're not in the same org.
@michaelwebster3906

if both are present within the same organisation then the first line manager has greater authority.
@moshoodliasu2715
@moshoodliasu2715 3 года назад
Team leaders often do not hold formal authority or command unlike First Line managers. And in cases where team leaders have a formal role and accountable for its team performance, then the first line manager ranks higher
