Is anyone else getting a lone wolf and cub vibe from the series? A space western inspired by a samurai epic, ladies and gentlemen this IS Star Wars!

This is my favorite Star Wars content besides the original trilogy and Rogue one, such a good feel to the show!

Pretty good episode. I'm liking the look for the Jawas, with the grey cloaks and red eyes, but it was hilarious watching Mandalorian toss the little punks around. Baby Yoda with the force save, such an epic moment! I love the theme they came up for this series as well. I have spoken(love that line!).

Seeing the Jawas get thrown around and shot made me laugh so hard. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The series so far gives me the feel of a video game RPG, where the player is the Mandalorian. The main quest is the bounty, and side quests so far have been learning to ride the Blurg and getting the egg for the Jawas so you can get your ship parts back. And I'm OK with that.

I dont think the show is moving slow like some people are saying especially since the chapters are only 30 minutes. This episode establishes him sort of bonding with the baby. Love it!

When I saw baby Yoda want to use the force to help heal the wound on the Mandalorian's arm, I immediately said "Awww he's taking his first steps and wants to help"

Also said to my girlfriend, "Oh shit, they're about to Last Crusade his ass!" She didn't get it either. Then proceeded to mention Monty Python immediately after.

Awesome reaction and love this show!! Really feels like star wars. Rumor is the scientist works at the cloning facility from episode 2. So excited for this series.

I've watched a ton of these reviews and you are the first to acknowledge the similarities to Firefly...I've gotten that vibe from the very beginning.

This was such a well directed episode for such a simple side detour. The first episode felt a bit slower to me until we got to the bounty target, but after the second episode I'm digging the direction. I enjoy a good adventure and this scratched that itch. I love the struggles this guy goes through and the characters themselves are so likeable. I also love this Western style (a bit like Firefly, but with a very different edge that is very specific to Star Wars). I'm still expecting a few personal punches to be thrown or some major breakthrough into the general direction of the series, but so far, I see what they're hinting at and it's super impressive and immersive, not to mention the 30-minute mark deals with any filler issue for me. And, my god, that concept art and theme song! This is probably the best way to escape to Star Wars' universe while enjoying your coffee or tea imo.

Love Yoda baby, but i'm looking forward to the possibilities the little fella can have / influence in future films and series. I don't think they just put him in there for the Awww factor--I think they have created a new and potentially influential character in the Star Wars universe. They are doing it the right way and it really makes me excited to see what comes of the little guy and the Mandalorian.

I want longer episodes, but I love the pacing of the show. Really like the music. It is its own thing and not beholden to the saga

Episode II really amps up the action and comedy all together, I’m REALLY looking forward to Episode III. :)). Rey’s not the only force sensitives out there, and this episode shows why.

This is the first time Star Wars has felt like Star Wars since the original trilogy. About damned time.

Yeah this is how the sequel trilogy should’ve started. This first two episodes were excellent and captures that original Star Wars magic. The character development was pretty good. No overpowered characters even when they’re not trained yet. There’s this dilemma and hero’s journey for the Mandalorian. Pretty good.

Side quest? I’d call it straight up a “filler episode”; discovering that the child is force sensitive aside, the story did not advance at all.

Why does the Mandalorian kill the Jawas as if they were fair ducks? It is a cruel action, miserable, unnecessary and not fun. It was also not necessary to kill the cave bug, a distraction maneuver was enough to steal the egg. What the fuck is this shit.

Am I the only one whose disappointed that this show is super short with its episodes? Like wth man? There as short as anime episodes or cartoons. I don’t get it. And there’s only going to be 8 episodes for the first season. I find that highly disappointing. Like yea the special effects are awesome but if the episodes are going to be so short who cares? The second episode was only about 28 minutes long like wtf is that? And the first episode was barely 38 minutes long. Both are are very short runtimes for a episode of a show man. I mean HBO shows and Netflix shows like Stranger Things all have about 8 episodes or so with there seasons but there episodes are a lot longer.
